@@RogerMrk That's funny you say that because I didn't know Pink Floyd too well 6 years ago when I wrote this comment. And I take back what I said in my original comment all together because I was a Muse elitist at the time, learning Muse songs on guitar, acting like my music taste was better because I loved Muse, and there are a lot of bands that play better live. I was cynical towards Metallica & Linkin Park live performances at the time for some odd reason, even though I go back to them now and they sound great R.I.P Chester Anyways back to Pink Floyd, at the time I only knew some of the songs I had heard on the radio, Money, Another Brick in The Wall, and Comfortably Numb. But later that same year I heard Dark Side of The Moon all the way through and instantly fell in love with the band's music. My friend had bought The Endless River while it was brand new, and we got stoned and listened to it, that convinced me that I gotta check out all their music, he told me the back story, they recorded it while making Division Bell etc. So that was my third album, and then The Wall, Animals, Meddle, Atom Heart Mother etc. Now Pink Floyd is now my favorite band ever. I haven't listened to Muse as often as I did 6 years ago in high school, but I still gotta credit them as one of my favorites too because watching Muse live videos like this one with Matt Bellamy's energy, that's what made me pick up the guitar again at a time that I almost lost interest in playing.
Chris shoulda done the extra singing (like when Matt sings during the verse after every line there's some extra). I would love to hear Chris scream after Matt says "start taking some control" in verse 2
I love this song. It just makes me wanna do someting meaningful and not care about what everyone else thinks. I especially love this version, due to the way Matthew performs it. I find perfection in all the little flaws, and the rough sound that you only get live! My overall favourite song by Muse.
Its fun when a band plays good, they're a trio, and plays rock all people says: that reminds me Queen!! Pleeease, let Queen in peace and listen more music to take different referents!!
You cant see it through most of the video, but when it zooms out you can see a fourth person in the back who is actually doing the trumpet section. I didn't pick up any keyboard, but you can tell Bellamy's voice was live with certain changes in tone.
Watch some of their performances with long instrumental sections, or riffs at the end of stuff. Stockholm Syndrome from Wembley 2007. I mean I'm sure you've gotten loads of comments but it's worth checking out.
It's called Matt is singing half the time with his guitar, Chris is background singing and also he's never moved around too much other than his incredible headbanging, and Dom is behind the drums so he can't move. Don't hate bro.
They're an alternative rock-band, the ALTERNATIVE is a very good way to describe them, they don't like to close in only one genre, they like to open theyre minds to different class of music, don't expect any similar in theyre future album. Putting them in only one genre of music and expecting loud and high dist guitar is a very current mistake that a lot of people do.
I know it doesn't seem like it, because they are VERY good, but they are, actually, completely live. I saw them recently in Vancouver and they are still true to keeping their performance integrity. Also, their older songs are more complicated live, hence why their newer songs are much cleaner then the old on stage :)
Damn, that bassline. That funk inspiration. If I was at that concert I would pass out.
Lol
This band is perfection
That moment when you heard Voodoo Child riff from Matthew...
I've noticed too
Eren Aksoy YESS
Aaa türkk
Well considering he's Matt's role model, that's bound to happen.
can't imagine as a normal person how to singing this song like him, that's why Matt is my god!
I don't think I'd be able to sing this -- I'd be headbanging to that bass riff too much. I'm surprised Chris hasn't shaken his head off yet.
No other band does live performances that are better than the studio version of the song.
SnakeEater866 try porcupine tree live in tillburg, my friend :)
amen to both! :D
Agree, except Pink Floyd
QOTSA perform their songs better live. Muse are on another level for musical ability and live performances.

So funky!!! I love this album, Muse never ceases to amaze me.
best muse song ever
Chris shoulda done the extra singing (like when Matt sings during the verse after every line there's some extra). I would love to hear Chris scream after Matt says "start taking some control" in verse 2
i like how he does his own back up singing. matt's the best. muse is the best
Wonderful resolution, great band, phenomenal music. Legendary.
So funky
1. Dom is attached to the drums
2. Chris is usually doing backup songs
3. Matt is always singing with his angelic voice
3:15 - A missed note, ha!:D
They really are amazing live :-)
Another one bites the dust - Queen :)
Naah, they're soooo different (Another One Bites the Dust is my favourite Queen song, and I love Panic Station)
Valerio Linari the bass line is similar it's easy to see another one bites the dust. I can also hear queen and Kashmir by led Zeppelin in supremacy
Brandon Harris They're completely different...(talking about Another one bites the dust and Panic Station)
+Valerio Linari of course it's different, but still has another one bites the dust vibes in it
They do have similar vibes yeah
Totally agree. Blown away first time I heard it. Live it's just amazing.
this is seriously one of my favourite Muse songs
I'm seeing Muse tomorrow and I cannot explain my excitement.
guitar sound is very amazing.
I love how Matt's outfit has lots of colors like on the album cover. Love it, love it, love it!
best live performance i ever heard, hands down!
Oh! This is brilliant!

I've seen lots. Old ones were much better than nowadays bands yet Muse stands in the list of best Live performances, vocally speaking.
Muse reminding us, once again, why they're the best live band ever.
The best english band in the last 15 years!!!

Troppo avanti!!! Vi adorooooo!!!
Anyone else think of Queen while listening to this?

He has said it in Spectrum (Early Futurism) but that was back in 2000!
Jan 23rd can't come fast enough. It's gonna be two straight weeks of Muse! I might end up in a coma.

It's called Matt is singing half the time with his guitar, Chris is background singing and also he's never moved around too much other than his incredible headbanging, and Dom is behind the drums so he can't move. Don't hate bro.
Super el video
fucking great live!

Slappa da bass, Chris!
Damn man
I hope so
The introduction looks like "Another one bites the dust" - Queen. But that does not take away the brilliance of Muse. Great reference.

I am magic, which is why I'm replying to your comment a minute after you post it. Oooooh.
