    I have two Bentleys
    Continental GT 2007 model and
    Flying Spur 2011 model
Both are great and maintenance are very affordable
The only expensive price I had to pay is to replace the started on my continental GT which costed me 3,000$ labor charge only since they had to remove the full engine.
I love these cars, very luxurious and powerful and still very very modern and eye catching :)

While searching for an early coupe model some years ago, I could never find a car with good service records. So I fortunately never bought one. To me, this indicated that the sellers were trying to hide something. Now I know that there is a lot to hide about this car.

I have a Flying Spur, which during the two years before I bought it was hardly driven at all. This lead to numerous electrical gremlins and a poor battery. The first thing I did was took to a local (and now trusted) specialist for a roof to rubber, bumper to bumper check. A long list of fixes appeared along with a not insignificant bill. Since then, all has been well. It gets driven regularly, although not a lot. When in the garage it's connected to a trickle charger to preserve the battery. As with all cars, regular maintenance will help keep your ownership experience a happy one. Thanks for sharing your tips - I'm off to check my scuttles. 🙂

I have been interested in getting one of the older GT models. It took months of watching videos on the car to realize that the repair costs can be crippling. I found a used one where I could buy a service contract that I can use at Bentley dealerships nationwide. Just the cost of that is $6,000 per year. I was looking at the convertible. Your video had all the information in just one video. Good job.

Great video. I had the water leak in the passenger-side footwell on my VW Phaeton. Also, the tyre pressure sensors don't work but that's quite common. The parking sensors can be erratic but other than that it's been totally reliable.

Bentley Continental GT 2005 : if you can buy it for $40-45k with low miles, then it's just a best thing you can do for yourself compare it for $215k original sticker price for same car back in years. There is always a risk but, if you check everything and experienced as Bentley owner , you will be rewarded on everyday positive feeling driving a Bentley. As an alternative, you can drive any Mustang or Camaro or other so called sports cars for much less money but you don't know the difference between fancy good and average.

Our familiy owns a 2011 Cayenne full opt a Continental Flying Spur 2014 and a Bentley GTC from 2009 all prewowend, living in Germany. I must say all cars have
there pros and cons but moneywise, I think our Cayenne was the best buy, a 180K Euro car bought for 35K, very good condition, lots of power. The others run very good too,
but the fear of a very expensive repair always remain. Very few maintenance shops for Bentley. But if you want a special car, which you see not very often on the streets
and you have some additional money for repairs in your pocket you may go with a bentley.
I read a quote to the maintenace costs a few days ago compared to a normal car......double the price and add a zero to it. If you check the parts costs you will see
that your are not very far away from this estimation.

I bought an 06 GT in Feb. Only problem I encountered was the vacuum leak. But you can't tell unless you KNOW what it feels like. She runs great even with the leak. Hit the gas and she answers! I changed the radio out myself because the factory was freaking outdated when it was new lol. Whoever had it before me had a bunch of electronics in it and I ripped all that crap out. (Radar jammers...some type of aftermarket thing to play movies on the Nav screen. And some Alpine bluetooth stuff). Next step is to upgrade the speakers.

    Bentley's are not for everyone.
Owning a Bentley Used or New the experience is the Ambiance. It's NOT for Everybody.
The cars are dependable and reliable and not all of them are money pits just because they're used with a few owners.
Keep in mind when owning a Bentley you do not drive that car EVERYDAY,
you have other vehicles that you drive daily.
Again it's not for everyone to have.

    • @secondlooksformen3836
      @secondlooksformen3836 3 года назад

I agree, it is not for everyone. I realize one needs to accept it will be costly to maintain. It's a gorgeous and high performance machine. I disagree with your idea of not driving it everyday. If I am fortunate enough to own one I will absolutely drive it everyday. I will also repair what needs attention. I wish there were more comments from owners who put miles on their cars.

Wtf. This is the same reason why I didn't buy the Audi R8 V10. Same similar nonsense!

Not garage. Garbage can't perform like this amazing car. It's gorgeous design is an all-time great. Watch. It's performance is an all-time great. It's reasonable to expect high maintenance cost for a special car such as this. For those that accept this, others' fear has driven the price down. Good.

Well built car??? Sagging headliner?? Engine has to be removed to replace hoses? Window removed to change a brake light??? Air..con pump.failure causes that car to shut down, no brakes, which could be serious on a motorway or country road 🤔my advice ( run away )

So this is only a car that you should buy within its first 3 to 5 years of life really... So it’s a glorified rich man’s handbag that isn’t being made as well as it should be

@@dkvikingkd233 Bentleys have always been beautiful cars. Though I prefer the styling of previous generations and would probably never buy any VW product, there's nothing wrong with buying a car just to have something to decorate the garage. Of course, if you want to drive it and expect the machine to reliably transport your body from point A to point B, well, that's a different issue.

I had a vacum leak when I bought the Bentley 2006. Luckly the dealer took the cost of repair. And also the tire presion has a error. For that money to replace it i take it for what it is. I drive the car now 1 year whitout any other problems.
