Being raised as a Jehovah's Witness and living most of my life within that legalistic religious cult, I can assure you that *NO* JW worth their salt will allow someone from any other religion to pray for them. In their mind, they may as well invite demons into their life. Furthermore, once you offer to pray, they will now hold you in suspicion and view you as spiritually dangerous for them. Unlikely they'll share that with you, but they will most definitely be thinking about how they need to keep their guard up with you. With that in mind, if you feel you have a good rapport with that individual, maybe you can ask and they'll accept. If they do accept, they'll be concerned the entire time that they just kindled Jehovah's anger against them and likely ruined your chances for salvation AS WELL. It might be best to say a silent prayer with JW's. But by all means, if you can get a prayer in ---> I agree with Greg. Do it! It's the thing they need most! And also, please show Christ's love and be *kind* to them, even if you're disagreeing on something. They are very abused at doors and are not accustomed to friendly householders. I would be interested to know if anyone here has tried any of Greg's tactics on JW's! :)

This is good to know. I have had well meaning conversations with JW even when disagreeing about doctrine. I have even invited them back and they showed for some more talks. They ended up stop showing after a couple times, not sure why. I did have to tell them they can't show up at all times of the day cause we work, have school, and kids; hopefully they just met their door to door quota. I will be praying for them

Just for clarification. Just because someone comes to your door doesn’t mean that they are not Christians. I’m a Christian and I’ve gone door to door.

So…. When implausible messages come knocking on your door, critically analyze them. Fine. Apply this thinking to your own holy book sir. It seems you skipped it.

Good advice Greg. A little practical direction with Mormons. The missionaries will ask you to read 3rd Nephi 11 among a few other passages like introduction and the testimony of the witnesses. One place that I have addressed the salvation issue is directly with the passage in 3rd Nephi 11. To summarize, Jesus says to be saved, you need to believe, repent and be baptized and you will inherit the kingdom of God. Verse 40 says that if you add or remove from these steps, it is evil. The LDS doctrine itself has added to these steps in their own doctrine. Specifically, temple endowments, eternal marriage, and other works have been added as prerequisites to enter the celestial kingdom.

The Bible is the authority until Christ returns and the books are unsealed at the time of the end. Look for Christ's Return. Let me know if you have a question.

I remember a scene Adam Sandler did in that Zohan movie where he played an (Jewish) Israeli soldier who was in love with an (Muslim) Arab girl. There a great part with them saying "no, you believe the crazy sh*t" back and forth to each other.
Thinking about Koukl talking to Mormons JWs and other cults makes me think of that.

Mormons deny the Bible and deny the cross and it's importance. They believe as it's translated because it has flaws. Not the Book Of Mormon Joseph Smith said it's most perfect book lol. Really has 4000 changes, even title page has been changed Joseph Smith proprietor and author.

The LDS church dose not deny the bible! where in the world do you get that from? The church dose say the bible has been changed by men for there own purposes and miss translations. In whole it is still the word of god even if much has been lost. that is why they use the king James version. One of the best version we have in our time, and not any of the "new" ones.
What do you mean by denying the cross? The church does not dispute that Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. Jesus also suffered in the garden of Gethsemane in bled for our sins there but why don't we also where pendents of the garden? Why should we carry a constant reminder of Christ's death (the cross). When we believe in a living Christ. It dose not discount the terrible sacrifice he made for us, but instead celebrate the gift we have to live again as he dose.
As for the changes In the book of Mormon. All we have are men to teach the word of God and men are never perfect, but we do with the best we have. You also seam to neglect that almost all of changes are grammatical and punctual errors. Along with changes to the under text Wich is just references to other scriptures to help the reader in their study's.

One cult tells their members to avoid other cult members. What a joke this video.
