YOUR BACK SPINE-MUSCLES: I once had a smilar problem (kind of lumbago, e.g. could not sit, stand, sleep, and barely drive) and the solution after a long time of pain was neuraltherapy, i.e. wheal therapy. You can ask your doctor or even practitioner. You get local anaesthetic injections in a cirle around the fusion point. That relaxes the muscles and also the source-cause of pain. After (sport) accidents the body-subconscious tends to a posture to avoid furher pains. Even for other deseases (a friend had cancer and consequences of illnesses-it helped). For me it took ONLY 2 applications. It is a very soft and not dangerous cure. In Germany practitioners use HEEL INJECTOPAS or Doctors Meaverin or Procain. Thank you for you inspiring others, your phantastic work, and your typical Swedish humour. Keep on also in 2024. All the very best wishes for you and your loved ones. Hey Ola, been a fan since the Mel Gibson tutorial days, never been one of leaving comments but if this comments helps you at all with your back problems great. I had a car accident a couple of years ago and I screwed up two discs at the base of my spine. Ever since then I have had crippling back pain, sometimes so bad that I can barely play live, I do cover gigs and 3 hours standing up with a guitar on you is torture. When it’s really bad I can’t get out of bed. The only thing that really helped and made the pain go away was swimming on a regular basis. My pain literally went away, gone. Since then I stopped for a while and the pain came back with a vengeance. It couldn’t be more clear to me that about 1 hour of swimming 3 to 4 times a week made a world of difference. Going back to the pool on the 1st tomorrow! Health first man! Hope this comment helps and that you get better soon. Happy new year.

Hey Ola, I've been subscribed for over 2 years now and I love watching your SWOLA shows every Sunday. Keep up the amazing work, news and music content! I've never commented before but I thought I would share my experience regarding my bad back. I have had to deal with sciatica and a herniated disc since 2004, been on dozens of prescribed drugs to deal with it, numerous trips to hospital and blackouts due to the severe pain. Like you I had sleepless nights and chronic pain just from sitting down. It put an end to my sporting life and affected my work and suffered nerve damage in my leg, calf and foot. I never thought it would go away... but it did! I had no surgery but with professional medical advice and steady, specific exercises and taking it easy the disc 'corrected' itself and fingers crossed I've had minimal pain for well over 10 years now. Just wanted to share that hope and positivity with you as I have huge sympathy for what you're going through. Keep going, you are saying all the right things to get you well again, it will get better. Wishing you, Louise and Pix an awesome and healthy 2024!
I understand you may not see this, Ola, but I have to thank you regardless because since you've been open about your back/sciatic nerve issues, it allowed me to recognize that my own girlfriend was having sciatic nerve issues which lead to seeing a doctor(2 weeks ago) and finding out she has a hairline fracture on her L5. So, in a way, because of you, she was able to address a serious issue fairly quickly rather than letting time pass since the pain was intermittent. We can't do the things we love, we can't see the people we love, we can't do activities with the people we love unless our health is in check. So thank you for a year of great videos, great chugs, but also for stressing the importance of health. Be good and happy new year.

Living in chronic pain is awful. I've had it for years so I know what your going through. I've tried chiropractic, physical therapy, hydro therapy, etc. It all helps a little. I found that it takes a village of solutions. Embrace everything that works. Happy new year :)

Hope your back gets healed up man. I had some lower back pain for years and it really sucks. Mine was from a torn muscle though so it eventually healed up and doesn't bother me anymore. Hope it all works out for ya Ola and the pain goes away.
I really feel for you on the back pain. I could not sleep and would walk around the house in the middle of the night and could not sit down for more than a minute. Found out my L5 disc was herniated and pinching my nerve. I had surgery at 23 and it has changed my life. The back pain has been gone for 10 years. I hope you can heal up soon.
I had Keisel build me a walnut telecaster with some of my inheritance money. Absolute gem of a guitar and they built it to my exact specifications; I had them make it as a tribute to my deceased father, who was my biggest musical supporter. Happy New Year, Ola. Sometimes surgery is super important, I've now had 5 separate surgical procedures to try & rid myself of pain, ect. Dealing with back pain everyday, so I get it. Good luck in that department Ola.

Hey Ola, I blew out 3 discs 23 years ago. Be diligent with the Phsyical Therapy, core strength and give it time. A chiropractor helped a lot also. Mine is good now. Surgery was not really an option for me back then, they probably have better options now. Best wishes to you I know how much a drag it is. And thanks for the reminder to play more guitar (AB2-6AN)!
