It's unacceptable that RA came forth to a conservation officer in a grocery store parking lot and admitted he was at the crime scene at the same time as the homicides, yet he was not immediately followed up on!!!! He should have been a number one POI immediately.
@Kennedi. Yes, it would be interesting to know when the conservation officer reported the interaction and what details were given. If he reported it early on and it was part of the case file, it doesn’t make sense to me that Allen wasn’t called in for a formal interview. It’s so well known that offenders often claim to have seen something or otherwise inject themselves into a case, so something went very awry, but by whom. Like most, I don’t think the public will ever be told many details. We’ll only hear/read comments on the Internet of “a friend of mine with a relative close to the investigation said…”, “I was told by an officer/ investigator…”. Therefore, unless something more shows up on formal record or via press conference, I consider nothing as fact.

I wish the journalist had explained how five years of the state police not revealing any more details than they did led to Allen’s arrest. I know there’s been much speculation, theories proferred, but it makes more sense to me that something new came to light, which led pretty quickly to his arrest. Maybe, though, the police were pretty well set on the offender being local and they didn’t want to give him reason to destroy critical evidence or move away.
How about his daughter? He took a pic of her on this bridge? How much was his wife silenced? Where did he live before? Why was this job so new? He had an alias. There is A LOT more history to this. I bet there are several other victims. I think the police did an OUTSTANDING job on this! Bless those girls. RIP

I think if police released all the records some online sluth would of seen that dude admitted to being there and was wearing the same type of clothes as bridge guy
Doug Carter is an actor.. and reminds me of the Warden on Shawshank Redemption.. and calling RA the BG will probably become his biggest regret! RA is not the BG!
