Parts of the process of making a David Barron inspired tool chest. I don't have much footage of making the drawer but the bottom of the drawer is made of home made plywood with self sawn birch veneer. The rest of the chest is made of oak.
I dont know what tools I will need in the future so I have not finished the interior with
attachment for all the specific tools yet. Looking forward to collect a nice setup of tools down the road.
I post more regularly on instagram: @od_ form / od_form
The two shots of the tray gently floating down into place were beyond beautiful
Thanks 😊
That closing shot with the tray floating down was perfection 😊
That's one super shop. Must be one of the last custom woodworking shops in the world.
It is a very nice shop. Its Capellagården school
Some serious patience being practiced here
Hahah yes I need to practice my patient all the time doing woodwork
As a hobby woodworker who relies heavily on power tools, I am super impressed with your skill with hand tools.
The hand tools part is what I enjoy the most :)
Please keep doing videos. Love the work and detail. Music and videos enjoyable to watch and learn from and be inspired
Good to hear that you enjoyed it
Good Lord look at that shop! What an amazing set of tools.
As a learned carpenter, so awesome and satisfying to watch. If my old Company would have been like yours look, I wouldn't work now as a firefighter but would maybe build something nearly as beautiful as your toolbox is. Thanks for this amazing shots 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 pls more of this
BTW, some nice little hacks I will copy and remind for my own little workshop 🙏🏼 thanks for those
@od_form well done! You have serious skills sir! The pace of this video is really good! Thanks for the lesson.
Stunning. Incredible detail. I've not seen a more talented craftsman ever.
That saw for splitting the box made me drool a little...
Great workshop -- all that good gear -- and a great job -- well done!!
wow... incredible work of precision and beauty... CONGRATULATIONS
Just incredibly awesome! Jaw dropping work!!!
Awesome the quarter sawn white oak great choice!
Yea that was a easy decisions
Really beautiful work. Loved how the drawer blended in so well with the dovetails
That piston fit of the tray is amazing
Beautiful work. That shaper is terrifying!
Great music at a good sound level. Watching and learning while you’re doing and not jabbering on and on.
Keep going man!!
Glad you like it!
Du très joli travail,très minutieux , bravo à bientôt salut Jeannot 🛠😉
Cool build. I loved the bit where the inner piece slowly dropped down.
Excellent. It's nice to see the amount of handwork in such a highly mechanized shop. Great execution on the dovetails.
WOW!!! stunning tool chest and video
Beautiful and a pleasure to watch. No metal music and a calm, skilled, careful craftsman.
Incredible work and a lovely result too. Really enjoyed the edit and video overall.
Alltid kul med verktygslådor ock kistor!
0:55 That's why you should always wear safety glasses!

Beautiful work ✔️
Thanks!
Beautifully executed! Lovely design! Nicely made video! All top-notch!
Thank you I appreciate it!
Truly impressed with your work. You've got yourself a subscriber. Love from Denmark
tusind tak
Nice video. Cracks me up that the use of machinery that cost tens of thousands of dollars in every part of production. Except, dove tails! Im sure there is a $20k half ton machine for that somewhere, right? Oh, and what are we making with all this machinery ? A box to put hand tools in! Oh, the humanity! 😆
Crack yourself up then?
Its a woodworking school. Of course they have machines to prepare stock.
Yeah!, Sweet!
Super cool.
thank you!
Awesome work! You earned the subscription. Was this a class, or some sort of woodworking co-op type thing?
Very nice.
nice work,thanks.
Thank you!
The fit is unbelievable! But are you worried at all about a difference in humidity causing a problem?
The tray is untreated so I can simply plane the sides if needed
Love it🙏
Sååååååå fiiin!
Tack
Excellent execution of superb craftsmanship. I find the design a bit challenging gaining access to tools below the lift out tray but I guess
that's typical for that style. I suppose you'll add side handles and drawer pulls?
Thank you! Yea I put things I don’t use that often in the bottom. No I don’t feel like I need any handles or pulls
Superfint!
Dude!
Nice
Superbe !
I do appreciate the attention to detail and the amount of time you put into making things fit so well, however I do have a big question for you. Seeing how things are so tightly put together, for instance the tray/till inside and the drawer in front, how do you accommodate for seasonal expansion and contraction due to moisture? I would imagine, even if you kiln dried your wood, and treated the pores with a sealer, moisture would still manage to be a problem with everything being so snug.
Thanks! It’s more than two years ago I’ve made it and I haven’t had any problems with it
Looks amazing! I am under the impression that you prepared the wood for finish with a sharp plane and no sanding?
Oj jäklar vad mycket visningar Olle, du är duktig 👍
Kul att se Capella på tuben. Hälsa Gustav från mig
Kul att du tycker det :) Will do
Why do you use a blockplane for the smoothing/planing down the pins?
Hi! Super nice work! Can I ask you what are you doing in 0.57 min in that machine?!
Thanks!
MARAVILHOSO !!!
It will get dings you know
Yoo love the design. I can’t help but get a Swedish/ Scandinavian feel. Steneby skolan i Bengtfors???
It’s on Capellagården Öland Sweden😊
Very nice Woodwork. Can you tell me the name of the japanese saw from 1:40? The result looking absolutly perfect!
Is this a co-working woodworking space? A carpenter's school? A rental workshop?
It’s a school in Sweden called Capellagården
Got million dollar shop? Make box.
That was AMAZING! Great job. Which school is that? I’d love to look into it.
Thank you! It’s Capellagården
That’s awesome, are there plans available?
please mail odformolof@gmail.com
What’s the router plane? I want one !
I don't think that tool chest will hold the planer, joiner, router table and the rest of the tools used.
dramatic ending...
The only thing I’d criticise on if your video colours are flat
How did you hang the saw up in your box?!
At 0:10, it shows clearly there is no dust or scrap wood and 5 guys standing there without dust masks on and clean clothes that this is not a real work situation.
My version of the tool chest
ruclips.net/video/HOWfU2speNw/видео.htmlsi=_m4FsaRrGthtvObv
Which school was this shot in?
Now do one with only hand tools......
ปราณีต
I quit.
