Thank you for this. It's amazing how real the person feels. Videos like this make it feel less real...which makes life more real, haha. A mystery indeed.
I'm 75, retired and have lived in a Buddhist country for the last 20 years ( that sort of rubs off on one) This sounds somewhat like the Buddhist philosophy of 'no self'. Buddha however didn't deny that there wasn't a person standing before him but rather the 'no self' is derived from the fact that the person (or any thing) doesn't exist in and of itself, everything is interdependent, to exist you needed your parents, food and therefore the planet earth, sunlight, rain, exploding stars to form the elements of which you are made etc. Causal events beyond your control (country of birth, social status of parents, genetics, society, schooling etc) govern your reality and experience. You do not exist as an Independent entity, but you do exist as a life form and all sentient beings are formed the same way, nobody controls anything because all events are causal, even your existence. Non-dual speakers don't explain things very well, what is meant by there is no you? are they denying my physical being? Nothing is happening? Things do happen obviously but they and my reactions are beyond my control so I am only apparently the doer. It's just energy, it's just as it is, so would Ken just stand by and watch a child being beaten because that's just the way it is? No he would try and prevent it because it matters.
@@COFFEEWITHBUDDHA Who cares who is doing the yearning? If you are happy with the sense of separation, anger, jealousy, the sense of lack and unhappiness, be my guest. Having said that, there is no separate self and therefore the yearning is not real. Some folks are satisfied with the philosophical statement that 'there is no one who is doing the yearning' and they continue to live their unhappy life. Some others go beyond spiritual platitudes and continue to investigate and inquire. I have not met anyone who is not looking for happiness.
One may start by pursuing happiness until we realize that happiness is a true nature. We should not diss the pursuit as it has its place and value. Once it exhausts itself, them and only then, it is revealed that the happiness we seek is the happiness we are. This teaching here is akin to a woman giving birth without carrying the fetus for 9 months.
Very interesting experience. Thank you. There is something about these 'communications' (Parsons, Newman etc) that I find to be soulless, and I say that only in the context of how they resonate with me. I have had the experience of 'that which arrises', and there is something about being human that brings soul to 'that which arises'. We are that soul in 'that which arises', and as Alex intuited, getting down and grubbing about in the shit is part of bringing soul to 'that which arises', it's not something to escape to, it's something to embrace and embody fully as 'being human that arises' As C.G. Jung expressed in 1933- 'Modern Man in Search of a Soul'
I understand your comment here Carl. I am not 'there' (if that's a thing) and I enjoy getting down and dirty in all the human 'shit'. Perhaps if I (you?) had the realisation that Jim/Kenneth/Tony talk about, it'd be blatantly clear? Until then...
Yes, one could say that there has never been anything that is missing and yet we’re pretty miserable. The misery continues. The sense of separation continues. The unhappiness continues. Such teaching is completely useless. Empty sound bites. Such a teaching does not liberate you from the sense of separation. It gives you sound bites but the misery is not relieved. You could call the misery a dream and not real but that would be just a lot of BS.
Kenneth is a total sweetheart to me. Thank you for the interview.❤
Loved this interview ❤
Excellent. Just letting Kenneth extrapolate on non-duality, and staying simply to that story. It doesn't have to be complicated. Thank you ❤️🙏
IT'S a total MYSTERY...❤
Exceptional..

This interview is great! Thanks for doing it.
They should do an atheism non duality debate I’d pay to watch that
What is yearned for is freedom from the sense of separation.
Who is doing the yearning?

This message sounds like people that don’t want to believe in any kind of higher being but afraid to admit it
Excellent...just the sound is a bit wonky
Because if the only thing that is, Is whats happening why do we need you or anyone to say it

Non duality a religion?? That’s stupid.
