sitting here in silence. Just so impressed; I've heard this tune many times over the past 34 years. Jenny this is the best version i've ever heard. Jay Ungar and Molly Mason must be so proud of you. Brings a tear. Congratulations to the Lyceum Philharmonic. incredible.
This is absolutely a beautiful song and video. It is a true testament to the feelings of many military men and women who are separated from their families and loved ones, not knowing if they will return home. As a 30-year honorable retired United States Navy Veteran, I so love and appreciate this video. Well done on everyone's part!
I’m from the Uk and english/welsh/Scottish and proud but man I feel American when I hear this. God bless those that fought for freedom against the British rule (I’m not self hating but colonialism was never ok) and against bigotry. My heart is so big feels like it’s going to explode. Always love the motto: home of the free and the brave-don’t ever lose that dear US X 🇺🇸 🇬🇧 🇮🇪 🏴 🏴 ❤️
We're certainly trying to hang on to this Democracy, though it sometimes feels like we might fall to fascism. Know that there are a great number of us who are standing against would-be "King Cheeto" (the Orange Menace) and the hate, bigotry, ignorance and lies he has tried to represent. We don't all espouse all of the corruption and evil that man has tried to spread and propogate. Most everyone I know is heartily against Trump and we're all planning to vote for Biden/Harris in November. Wish us luck and give us your prayers in November!!!!
Absolutely beautiful!!! My ancestor on my birth mother's side was from Ware County, Georgia, and fought with Clinch's Georgia Calvary, later designated as an artillery regiment. He was one of a set of 2 twin brothers. His twin brother did not survive the war, but he did. This mournful tune makes me think of him.....Jonathan David Hickox. RIP, Great great Grandpa. You did the best you could. We'll always remember you and what you did.
Though my days in the Philharmonic are behind me, I'm glad I have all the audio/video recordings from my four years there to remind me of all the times I got to sit in the back of the rehearsal room and chill with some of my favorite section buddies I've ever had.
This is now my favorite performance of this piece, tho I have heard many. Absolutely inspiring and emotional! Thank you Jenny for this incredible gift!
I miss my orchestra days... This is exquisite. Very well done... Even though this want my orchestra, it makes me homesick... If that makes sense. I'm glad I haven't hung up my viola for good... In fact I'm studying luthiery... But my kids are so young (under 8) and my husband works nights... So we're as I can tinker with these beautiful instruments... Performing and rehearsal is probably a few years down the road.

More than beautiful. Reaching the depth of the soul. His letter was beautifully composed.
No words can be found to describe the feelings I get just listening to this lovely piece of music.
