    AirFanta 3Pro is priced at just $150, which is half the cost of other PC fan purifiers compared in the video.When comparing 3Pro to other models at an equivalent cost-considering two units of 3Pro model against one unit of another brand's PC fan model-the 3Pro offers superior CADR performance at the same noise level.
    The maximum speed at high noise is a bonus feature, particularly in situations where rapid room cleaning is essential, such as when entering a hotel room, an AirBNB, or if someone in the room has contracted COVID. In these scenarios, the priority is to cleanse the space quickly, with noise being a secondary concern. The ability to achieve maximum Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) at full speed is invaluable. In fact, this is a common design choice in commercial HEPA filters, providing consumers with the flexibility to choose the appropriate noise level for their needs when it's most beneficial. A wide range stepless speed controller is there for this purpose.

      Thanks Adam for your feedback. We have been experimenting with how we show the data in our graphs and in the performance at similar sound levels we no longer have the price per device. I will make sure we fix this when we convert this review into a web version on HouseFresh.com so we will include the cost per device more prominently.
      I do think that the price of this device is incredible and I am sure for many scenarios this extra speed for higher sound will be a useful feature for many customers.
      Will be sure to clarify details around price/performance in our web edition of this review and thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback.

      Excellent points! CADR/dB and CADR/watt and CADR/$ should be compared. The CADR version quoted should be for smoke because smoke particles are smaller than pollen and dust. However, I see on the Energy Star website that some products give a generic round number for smoke that’s significantly higher CFM than their CADR for dust and for pollen. These devices with dishonest figures should be disqualified altogether, unless personally tested, because I wouldn’t trust their stated CADR for dust or pollen either.
      I ordered three of these Airfanta 3Pros. One for home, one for the office and one for my daughter.

      @@NickWindham I would like to say that its just a few bad apples in our industry but the longer I have been in it, the more I come across. I think the main issue is that consumers just won't know if it works so manufactures can get away with saying whatever and most consumers won't have a clue. Thankfully not all manufacturers use these tricks and it's why I like to make more people aware of brands like AirFanta that are very open in their marketing and also have great performing products.

    I bought 3 of these. They’re great!
    My goal is to make it quieter than the CleanAirKits Luggable HL. They’re using better fans from SickleFlow. So, I researched the cheapest fans that are better than those and ordered them. They are the Arctic P14 Max fans. I’m having to ship them to Germany and then to me, because Arctic is sold out of those with US Amazon. I’m sure that AI server farms are buying them by the thousands because their static pressure is so high for such a cheap price and lower decibels. If they do greatly improve the device, I’ll suggest them to the creator.

    • @HouseFresh
      @HouseFresh  3 дня назад +1

      Glad to hear you found them useful, they are certainly one of the most interesting devices I have reviewed this year.
      I hope I don't ruin your experiment but I decided to use P14 Max in an upcoming review for the Northbox 6Xl and whilst they were able to improve air cleaning performance, they were quite a bit louder than what I saw with the standard P14 or Sickleflow but will be interested to hear how you get on.
      Up to now, the SickleFlow that CleanAirKits was the quietest but I still want to test lots more as had quite a few reccomendations from subscribers on here.

    • @NickWindham
      @NickWindham 2 дня назад

      Oh no! I’m in absolute shambles over here now. Just joking. I’m very impressed that you already had your eye on testing the P14 Max fan. From the reviews I’ve seen, my guess is they’ll perform at least slightly better than the stock fans when operated at 42.5dB. I use that noise level because you said it’s what the Levoit and Winix run at on their 2nd to highest settings, which most people will usually run them at. I think it would be good for most future reviews to include a CFM and wattage test when ran at as close to 42.5dB as their settings allow. I say tgat because I bet the majority of your audience buys the Levoit Vital 200S or the Winix 5500-2, if they haven’t seen your AirFanta video yet.
      You’re awesome and I look forward to watching your P14 Max video. Thanks for the well thought out work you do!

      A good point and not something I thought about but yes it is much trickier for a cube than a rectangle design. Will feedback to AirFanta and see if they will design a horizontal style unit at some point in future.

  • @justinfoster1040
    @justinfoster1040 Месяц назад +3

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but the chart at 7:38 seems to be off for some reason. The taotronics bar at 42.8db is the same height as the airfanta 3pro at 47.2db as well as the average at 54.4 being lower than those. Is the bar supposed to represent something other than just db?
    Also since db is a logarithmic scale and smaller differences correlate to much higher perceived loudness, I think maybe the bottom of bars should be closer to whatever the noise floor is for the room you're measuring in so we could better see the differences. Also labels for the different lines(20db, 30db, 40db, 50db) would be great, potentially even include comparative db leves like conversation, refrigerator, background music, or whatever is appropriate.
    Thanks for all these tests! If you have found any solid diy versions for similar air cleaners, a link or even a video on something like that would be great! I've been looking for something like that maybe using melamine mdf panels or even nice plywood but haven't found one that I thought would be best for what I'm looking for.

    • @HouseFresh
      @HouseFresh  Месяц назад +1

      Thanks. We had tried to make some improvements in our charts, but we made an error on this one. As you are right, it's at the same height for a different sound level.
      I will make sure we fix the web version of this review and also look at ways to make it easier to understand. I like your ideas, so I will try to incorporate them into the next graphs we produce.
      I have bought a similar PC fan array here in the UK to try and build my own version of something like this DIY but the right size filters for such a thing are tricky to source. But will keep experimenting and once I create something worth showing will create a video about it!
      Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback and sharing your ideas - very useful!

    • @JayGroh

      I have cockatiels and they produce a lot of dust. If I knew how much dust they made I think I would have stick to just 1 bird. Anyway if you want to do it your self I found that using a 20 inch box fan with two 2 inch thick merv 10 filters arranged in a triangle shape do a god job. 1 filter does not provide enough air flow and doing a full 4 filter box setup I notice the bird dust just fall beside the filter and not get sucked in. The triangle setup with 2 filters and use some cardboard for the top and bottom, some cheap packing tape to seal up all the cracks, and some tape on the edges of the front of the box fan to prevent backflow is how mine is setup. Its a bit of a pain to change filters out but it works. I have two box fans in this config sitting in front of their cage and I change them out every 1-2 months. I also use a cheap anemometer to get a before and after baseline of suction from the filters.
