sound advice brother. Problem is most recruiters automatically have the edge because majority of people who walk into recruiting offices are 18 year old kids who don't know any better.
You say don’t be nervous about talking to the recruiter...he’s the first person who will say no . I am nervous af because I need admin waiver for my discharge and have heard that recruiters typically don’t like to put in that extra work.
Why do 92G get a bad rep? I actually want to join as a 92G I absolutely love cooking & I want to open my own restaurant when I finish my 4yrs. Also my son Graduates in 4yrs so I'll be able to give him the gift of going to college without being in debt.
Im thinking about the PT rest for the army. That's the only thing keeping me from that office. And I heard the living provided can be less than preferable. But Idk
I want to be a combat engineer with ranger training. I want to get my bachelors in mechanical engineering and I need the tuition. Should I do reserve first and go to college or should I go active then go on reserve for my bachelor's?
Hey how's it going? Your video blogs are great and super helpful. I went to talk to an army recruiter recently and told him I am interested in becoming a commissioned officer. I am a civilian with no military experience. I have a bachelor's degree with a 2.7 gpa. The recruiter said I would not qualify for ocs because I did not have a 3.5 gpa. Obviously he said enlistment would be my best route. Do you have any advice for me? Thanks!
I ask my recruiter about becoming a military police and he kinda laughed and said theres no opening anywhere. Is that true? I have a bachelors degree in Law and Justice and I want to do something in that field. Also I want to become a police officer after the military.
Question! I have everything academically that is required to get into OCS. But I have visible tattoos. All my tats are currently in regulations however I know that when it comes to officers, politics changes things a bit. Do you think its possible to get into OCS with visible tattoos? (Forearms) I've seen officers with visible tats. However, I don't think I've ever seen a candidate with a visible tat.
Also, I'm planning to apply to Navy OCS. I know that Navy is very lenient right now with their tattoo policy and it extends to officer candidates as well. I just don't think I've ever seen a candidate with a visible tattoo. Anyways, thanks!
Hey I’ll have my associates this summer and I’m trying to decide if should enlist now as active duty and go up the ranks the regular way although the plan is to be an officer or should I enlist into national guard and do the 2 yr of ROTC while obtaining my bachelors degree and coming out as a 2nd Lt.
I am graduating with a B.S. in Occupational Health and Safety in four months and I have a 3.9 GPA. My father served the army for 16 years. I have no criminal record, I already passed the asvab and I passed my physical. Do you believe that is should apply to OCS or go the enlisted route? I want to become a CBRN because it directly relates to my degree and I know that they have that career field for both, enlisted and officer. Also, CBRN is a job in demand.
Definitely Go OCS, than branch chemical and go get all your certs while in CHEM. You will make more money long term as an officer and enlisted just wont cut it after a while im sure.
Well the only apft that really matters a ton is the one that starts in the begining before class up. The bravo company average is 283 and thats very unusual. There are people with 250 PT averages.
kidthndr2 Thanks for your response, I should have been more specific though. I am talking about the APFT score for the OCS packet when applying. If you score low how bad will it lower your chances of being selected by a board?
If I have my Bachelors, and KNOW I want to be officer and not enlisted; how do I go about that without getting mixed in with enlisted and never getting the chance to go to OCS? When does OCS happen?
You just put in a OCS packet with your recruiter instead of going enlisted. You would enlist as "09S" which is a officer candidate so you go to basic and than to OCS
can I get your email because I'm very interested in joining the military and I need some advice about it because I'm over weight I'm trying to get a hold of a recruiter for the army please respond back

Yea hopefully , maybe just maybe they will see this video and It will help
Real talk
The one thing I'd say if there's a job you want when talking to a recruiter, never settle. NEVER. Don't let the recruiters fool you.
Definitely I dont know why I didn't say that!
kidthndr2 I almost made that mistake when selecting my MOS. Glad I came to the realization that the job they convinced me to get wasn't what I wanted.
kidthndr2 that advice also goes for most goals in life. If you want to accomplish anything, never never settle until you've reached that goal.
This
what are the chances of me getting 68w? If they offer me the job is there a possibility theyre lying?
Just enlisted. Your videos really helped out.
Glad to help out.

That was helpful thank you

What did they tell you for the student loan repayment? Did they just say it was unavailable at the time?
Can you change your life insurance policy like somebody else is in charge of your money when I sadly die. Can I change it when I am in AIT
Yes you can change it

I kinda wished i saw this video before going to meps! I got screwed over for my mos during at meps.
I ask my recruiter about becoming a military police and he kinda laughed and said theres no opening anywhere. Is that true? I have a bachelors degree in Law and Justice and I want to do something in that field. Also I want to become a police officer after the military.
I have heard that alot, becoming a MP right now is pretty tough.
I'm talking to a National Guard recruiter tomorrow! So nervous. :)
Good luck, hope it went well!

Some of the guys here have visible tats on the shoulders and forearms. So take that however you would like to

I can't really tell you what to do. I can only say to see if your goal aligns more with a enlisted job or a Officer's career.
Subbed to your channel! Keep up the good work.. Just one quick question, what's your opinion on joining the army at 27?
Its never to late to start, the average age at OCS is 27!
Travis but it's like US Marine & Airforce don't allow you into the officer program after 28yrs

Thank you for responding. I have been debating between the two for awhile but I think I would have a decent package for OCS.

What about joining to get more followers on Instagram?
Zero dislikes. Good job
Thank you!
Do most OCS candidate do well in their APFT, for example score a 280-300?

I can't tell you how to think.
