Tom, this is the third time in a row you have shown a reload muscircle build to class.
Miss Astrrrs... this one is different! This Signal Boostorb version with Muscircle firsts and nuclear Ballance is in rare, reloading-cheese condition, making it highly damageable!

The best thing about Tom not doing a status effect build this run is that now he has to do another run!
There's a reload build where you don't have orbs, can't die, and kill everything anyway.

The forge actually lets you upgrade orbs repeatedly with the first option (although it doesn't say this for some reason), so the first option isn't always useless.

In case you're curious, the final throw caused 87912 damage to the dragon...or a casual 8x, almost 9x, his health.

Trust me, I love a “shit the bed” moment as much as the next guy. But it’s next level satisfying when Tom’s wacky plans actually succeed.
Man, the Refresh options in these builds are _insane._ It's a pity that Bramble still feels more like a novelty most of the time. A status effect build seems like it might be neat but it never seems to come together.
Bramble would be insanely useful if it was consistent. Far to many enemies in the game have exceptions to its effect.
I've done a status effect build and it's tons of fun. Unfortunately I didn't have bramball, but I had effects like +2 poison each attack, each time you debuff the enemy add 1 to the debuff. It's a lot of fun but you just need to hope to get the right relics and orbs for it
Bramble felt more useful than blindness, slowed the enemies down which delayed hits whereas blindness felt like it never worked at all.
Statuses are pretty strong in the most recent update, Spinfection is both pretty easy to stack and does good baseline damage so it works well for multi target as well as bosses. I like Blind as well although you really need to stack a lot of it. Bramble doesn't really count imo but it makes Roundrel's early game a lot easier when you randomly proc it on a hard fight.
@@HerculePyro Bramble is only really useful in the first act, which is fine but niche. Blind is very good if you get it going but it does very little with only a small amount of application; if you get enough you can fully blind a higher health enemy then you can use any source of healing to top yourself up before the fights end.

Why didn’t he go right after that one boss? Two treasure chests in a row.
He cut it so I guess he missed his shot lol. Also treasure chests are kind of trash anyway. You get a random relic that could easily be useless for your build.
Actually it's hard to tell with all the cuts but it looks like he was going for the miniboss on the left. Minibosses give money and better relics.

I dont understand refresh. Is it it just me they seem short?
This has been going on around the Peglin subreddit (which I am somehow now apart of since watching you play), but if you see any bombs after a chest or wandering haglin merchant, you can blow up all bombs before navigation is done and get a bonus chest. It's dang near impossible to do without one or both the upgrade of short fuse and enhanced gunpowder, which is the "one hit to blow bombs" and "bombs activate nearby pegs" relics respectively, but if you can land it, that's free loot.
Tom already knows about this, he's referenced it or done it maybe a dozen times.
EDIT: I think he just forgot that he had the relics to auto win the challenge.
Yeah it's been in the game for AGES, I normally don't bother unless I have the two relics you mentioned since it's super hard to do and almost always fucks my navigation
Is there a reason why so many recent builds seem to deliberately make crits worse? Is that a general feature of the game or just Tom's preferred niche?
A few of them specifically had the Dungeon Die. If the orb in question doesn’t have a high crit bonus, DD itself has decent odds to make it + normal - crit. Unless the orb has a crit 7 higher than regular hit, it’s not guaranteed crits are better anymore with that relic
Also muscircle only buffs non-crit damage which can have much the same effect. Spiness seems to be crit buff, but I've not seen anything giving that in Tom's vids outside of the reference in the signal boost orb
@@Dr.Death8520 Spinesse is a decent amount rarer than muscircle in the current version, they recently added quite a few ways to gain muscircle but not really any for Spinesse. You can still boost it but it's harder and kinda less useful especially as of course you have to hit a crit to make it work.

It's sad Tom messed up and accidently got 3 balls, so didn't get to use the wacky build on ever match, but still amazing XD
