The smile after finishing No. 18 and the response at the awards ceremony show the peace of mind that only those who have passed through the deadline have. Congratulations again. And thank you for giving me the courage to endure the hardships.

    A truly significant and important historical moment in golf and for Japan too. Follow a great year with Shibuno winning the women’s open, and just before this the incredible win by Kitajani in the worlds women amateur the final round also held at Augusta. Brings more opportunity to all those that come after him. With all the pressure and expectations he had to carry he pulled off and sustained a meaningful final round. Well done and well deserved after taking Saturday by the scruff of the neck and adjusting to changed conditions better than anyone else. Inspiring

    Not talking anything away from Matsuyama, but it wasn't really a dominant final round. He shot +1, a full 7 shots off the day's best round, and almost choked away a big lead. He might've choked it away if Xander didn't gift him one on 16. Matsuyama's dominant round was the 3rd round that saw him take a 4-shot lead, thanks to a 65 (-7), the day's best round, when the others at the top of the board weren't doing anything or falling back.

    • @keenanvanzile
      @keenanvanzile 3 года назад

      Buddy you are reaching...Hideki missed a basic putt at 18th to win by one or he make his par putt and win by 2...It was not close at all and xander made mistakes which had no correlation to Hideki's round - the same with Zalatoris......it was a dominant win in every sense... Your words: "when the others at the top of the board weren't doing anything or falling back." Anyone that did not have a chance to win is playing a completely different round than the ones in contention...your comments shows how little you know about competitive golf and being in contention to win.

What I want many people to know is that even among the same Asians, Japanese, Koreans and Chinese have different manners.
