Celine lover, David Foster was not Whitney's primary producer; it would be Narada Micheal Walden. Many of you do not know her and make illiterate comments. I Wanna Dance with Somebody is undoubtedly her most popular song now. That's Narada. David Foster was only engaged in six tracks in her whole record; she was more of a Narada/Babyface singer than David Foster. But we all know she had drug problems; it is past time to bring it up and provide a link to back up your claim. It would be great if you highlighted the nice things David Foster mentioned, such as, "I worked with Whitney, and when producing her, she gives me something different than the interpretation I want from her, and 99 percent of the time it is better than what I told her to do." Celine, on the other hand, consistently delivers exactly what I request. Whitney's live version was stunning, and no two live vocals are same, even during a 100-date tour. That's what David was saying; no one taught Whitney how to sing. In fact, she demonstrated that her possibilities are better and more plentiful. You wont understand it. There is a reason she is always at the pinnacle of any best singers list. No one challenges Aretha on any list but Whitney. Infact a times she dethrones Aretha and sits at the top. No one else dares it.
@@odumosuolusegun2781 did I denied all those facts that you have mentioned NO but you at the same time you denied the FACT that she had drugs and alcohol problems that ultimately changed her voice and that my friend would be literally putting your head in the sand everybody in the industry knew that and by the way I’m not only a Celine fan but a Mariah fan and a withney fan but I know my history on them and can objectively talk about it without being blind for my love on them withney had her voice for 15 years after it was downhill for her and we should say that so that other singers won’t go on the same path that she went please be honest and realistic here
@@lenstgelais7376 Whitney’s vocal issues were primarily due to her cigarette smoking and her over touring…her drug use was was a major factor for her vocal issues. And nobody is denying her issues with drugs, what he said was that it’s high time that it’s NOT always brought up every single time. You wrote a whole dissertation about it which was not relevant at all. Whitbey was, is and will forever be the greatest vocalist of all time. She didn’t rely heavily on lip syncing like the other two you mentioned… In fact when Whitney was filming The Preachers Wife every song you see on that film she sang live. There’s a reason why both of those you mentioned say Whitney was a major influence on them.

And it’s not personal preference, it’s about having more than a basic understanding of vocals. Because if you did, you’d know that Whitney is top tier. Nobody comes close, that’s why the other person said that when people start ranking them, Whitney is ahead of them-last time Celine was NOT listed at all-and lately Whitney has consistently been put ahead of Aretha. People are understanding that Whitney had the greatest vocal talent than anyone. And let’s be clear, in the latter stages of their career, Whitney was the only one singing live consistently…not Celine nor Mariah are doing that these days. Yes sure they will perform one night of the week _mostly_ live but they can’t do it like Whitney did throughout her career until the very end.
