Best WR group in the NFL. Hopefully having more targets for Brock that can get open quickly will help offset the pass blocking deficiencies. If the O-line can take a step forward in pass blocking this year then the combination will be like a rocket ship for this offense to break some records. Purdy' development + upgraded weapons + at least marginally improved pass protection= the best offense Shanahan has ever had = record settings numbers

I personally thought it was more of a hedge against Aiyuk asking for a huge contract.
If he does and wants to sit out and play hard ball they have someone who can at least come in and play.
That was my take on it.
They aren't going to want to pay Aiyuk $30 million per year.

@@allan2595 I think Floyd is only gonna be used on third downs. he's old and not strong enough to hold up vs the run. he's very slight.
