Speaking as a 49ers fan since 1989, some of these fans calling for Shanahans dismissal are coming off as spoiled and entitled. If the NFL were to conduct a draft of the 32 active Head Coaches, Kyle Shanahan wouldn't last longer than 4th overall, as there arent five HCs that are better. And the other three guys arent coming available anytime soon, so if SF did fire him, who would the "fire Kyle" fans want to replace him with?
You never hear these doorknobs offer any logical answer to that question.

Shanahan might end up being similar to Andy Reid. Can't quite get it done early on, but all of a sudden get's the right QB, and start winning SB's and then people will start talking about him as one of the greater coaches of his era.

As a Seahawks fan living in San Francisco, I hate Kyle the same way I hate Aaron Donald (Thank God he's retired...right?!) or Christian McCaffrey....Because they're so good! Get Aiyuk a contract, maybe trade for a veteran disruptive DT and CB and you're ready to rock. I predict the 49ers make it back to the big dance with Kyle.

Man the 49ers could absolutely win it with Purdy and Shanahan. They got very very unlucky to lose that Super Bowl against KC. Greenlaw popping his Achilles and the muffed punt that lead to a TD were massive momentum swings. CMC fumbling on the first drive when they were rolling was another killer. Philidelphia was 4 and 12 in Andy Reid's last year there. They went 8 and 8 the year before that missing the playoffs. They had lost in the wild card round the 2 years before that. It was Reid's 14th year in Philly and it was 8 years after they lost in the Super Bowl. So if Andy Reid is the example Shanahan has about 7 or 8 more seasons with the 49ers.

Tom Brady and Brock are comparable in their elite processing power. Tom's arm strength maybe little better than Brocks (you can argue about that because brock can make all throws , so does it matter?) but Brocks mobility and his ability to extend plays even with this sub par O-line is way greater than Brady ever was,. When all is said and done BP's career will be > than TB. Its funny these people are talking like when 49ers win it is not because of Brock but the talent around him and when they lose SB its just the QB play. When TB won his initial SBs did he carry the the team by himself? no it was the team effort. Lamar had barely won any play off games or JA is a turnover machine during crucial moments, but they are the best according to these .. (fill in the blank) , smh.

Lol at you thinking Brock will be better than Brady. Stop comparing raw stats from different eras. Brady was an MVP candidate by his 3rd yr srarting. He did this with Branch, Brown, Givens in an era where defense was still encouraged and emphasised. Purdy has CMC, Aiyuk, Kittle and Deebo. In the easiest era to play offense in, in the most QB friendly system, imaginable. Purdy needs to learn how to read a slot CB blitz, which Spags kept sending because Purdy couldnt read and react to it. Brady literally has Aikman, Marino and Montana's career, in one!! 2 All Decade Teams..

Go back and look at the missed Jimmy G-Emannuel Sanders throw, along with all of the batted passes where Kittle was wide ass open and go back and look at Jauan Jennings open on the 3rd down where the O-line didn't block Chris Jones in OT in a goal to go situation.....the playcalling was more than adequate and some tough breaks happened within both of those games. A lot of fans need to understand sometimes players make plays that a coach or team wont make a difference in as far as the opposing team. Pat Mahomes and company made plays where the 9ers had a couple of tough breaks. Getting rid of Shanahan only means that the organization takes a step back and restarts in hopes of finding someone better...look back on when Harbaugh was fired and the 3 seasons that followed before they were fortunate enough to get Kyle. Theres not just a parking lot of coaches who can turn a team who lost 7 of its 10 stars in one off season, into a team thats had as much success as any team barring super bowls in the entire league.

History tells you teams in the NFL have a "golden phase" of aproximately 10 years where they are constantly playing SBs and conference titles: some win and build their legacy during those years ( 80s niners, 90s cowboys, the chiefs right now) some never win anything ( the nineties Bills). So far the niners are looking like the Bills who dont win anything. Time is almost up. PS: the only exception to the 10 year rule are NE Patriots, an anomaly in almost 70 years of NFL history.

Ok Kyle's play calling at really important times is sketchy.
But: I would rather have Kyle getting us to multiple superbowls than none.
If we can get there then there is always an opportunity to win the big one.
The 49ers record in Kyle's leadership is way way better than the "dark times" in the last 20 years
This is the BEST 49ers squad we have had in years and the one with the best sustained chance of getting to and winning a superbowl or multiple superbowls.
No other manager of the 49ers in recent history other than Bill Walsh, Steve mariucci, Jim harbaugh, and Kyle were any good at all and took the niners to devastating season losses.
Between 2014 and 2018 "Kyle's first season we lost 55 games Vs 25 wins "that was rough"
And 2003 to 2010 was pretty bad as well.
Kyle is a great manager just don't forget where he has got us to and where we were.

Shanahan obviously has really good players that run his scheme. I’d like to see how he does with a lousy squad though. How would he adjust? Or would he adjust? It’s one of the reasons I’ve always thought Shula was the best coach ever. His early 70s teams won mostly by grinding it out with a run game - I remember Csonka running roughshod over my-then Vikings in the Super Bowl - but throwing a few passes here and there, and great Ds. When Marino arrived, Shula totally switched gears and realized how good Danny was as a passer, and Shula went more to a pass-first offense. I’ll bet the Dolphins then threw two-thirds of downs although I don’t have stats in my head on this one. But would Shanahan adjust to players instead of the other way around?

The demand without that next step will not be great, and they know that, they will make a sub-30M short deal or franchise him based on how he performs and demands. Shanahan will not be under pressure till his 50s because any team like the Bills would fire their adequate coach for him without though or hesitation. The big thing is running the ball and defense, winning in shootouts maybe not be as desirable. I think the 49ers will be looking for a cheap backup once the season starts, there will be guys on the street or practice squads to be their backup, with almost 10 guys drafted early in the 1st round the last 2 years there will be guys available, Broncos, Patriots, Vikings, Falcons have 3 QBs you take 1 off the practice squad or give them a useless 7th.
