Never expected Nebraska to sniff this level of play after watching them earlier in Hoibergs' tenure. Home floor means so, so much in college hoops.

Yep, college players usually lack the mental toughness to deal with extremely hostile crowds when they are on the road. That's why I don't pay attention to the rankings. Getting into the tourney is all that matters, because once you're in anything can happen.

Mast was unreal on defense and offense had 7 of first8 team points right out of the gate held Edey to 2 first half points and had zero fouls at half doing it was an amazing game to be at and rush the court. Lights out on 3 s and defense way to go big red

This is an example how the 3 pt line has changed basketball. On any given night, mastery of the 3pt line by a Cinderella can slay the giant. This is how the #1 and #2 seeds can go down in a tourney at the end of the season with only one game. UCONN had a much easier path to win the title last season because the other high ranked teams had one bad night. Salute to Nebraska you were not lucky, you found a way to win!!! Congrats!

Hoosier alumni here, and thanks for beating Purdue!
But what a game from Keisei Tominaga, and being the leading scorer in the game. Sure looking like a good prospect, could most likely be a mid to late second rounder, or undrafted - but would see at least a 2-way contract. Don't know how he'd compare to Rui Hachimura or Yuta Watanabe or how he'd fare against players that are much bigger, but he'd bring energy, long distance, and some attitude and confidence into the game. I guess looking up to Steph Curry gave him the swag and the rest, and care less about his height.

As a Purdue fan, idk if Nebraska is actually THAT underrated or just had a phenomenally lucky night. And yes our Boilermakers have plenty of concerning flaws to clean up or we'll be looking at another ugly early exit come March. Regardless, congrats Huskers and you deserve to be ranked next week for sure.

Super slow but he could have a role in the NBA, think of Mark Eaton who was like D player of the year a couple times on those great Jazz teams or Georghe Muresan with the Bullets who was pretty effective for a couple of years as a sorer and rebounder until injuries, thing is Edey is more offensively talented than either of those two I mentioned however he does not have the shot blocking timing of Eaton.

What can you say? Last game and a half PU has stunk, out scored in 3 straight halfs. Edy is a no show, either because he can't perform when he gets the ball, or they don't get him the ball enough and I tend to think it's the latter. He put up 10 shots last night, 10! You have a 7-4 center and he only gets off 10 shots? Should have 10 dunks every game and another 5 or six baskets on top of those, Pitiful.

2 takeaways. Nebraska will be in the tournament if they don't choke the rest of the season.
Edey isnt a good ball player. He can't shoot, he can't move, he's a 7'4" rock that throws elbows. I still believe Purdue deserves that #1 rank, but you can't convince me Edey is player of the year material
