Yep, college players usually lack the mental toughness to deal with extremely hostile crowds when they are on the road. That's why I don't pay attention to the rankings. Getting into the tourney is all that matters, because once you're in anything can happen.
Mast was unreal on defense and offense had 7 of first8 team points right out of the gate held Edey to 2 first half points and had zero fouls at half doing it was an amazing game to be at and rush the court. Lights out on 3 s and defense way to go big red
This is an example how the 3 pt line has changed basketball. On any given night, mastery of the 3pt line by a Cinderella can slay the giant. This is how the #1 and #2 seeds can go down in a tourney at the end of the season with only one game. UCONN had a much easier path to win the title last season because the other high ranked teams had one bad night. Salute to Nebraska you were not lucky, you found a way to win!!! Congrats!
Hoosier alumni here, and thanks for beating Purdue! But what a game from Keisei Tominaga, and being the leading scorer in the game. Sure looking like a good prospect, could most likely be a mid to late second rounder, or undrafted - but would see at least a 2-way contract. Don't know how he'd compare to Rui Hachimura or Yuta Watanabe or how he'd fare against players that are much bigger, but he'd bring energy, long distance, and some attitude and confidence into the game. I guess looking up to Steph Curry gave him the swag and the rest, and care less about his height.
As a Purdue fan, idk if Nebraska is actually THAT underrated or just had a phenomenally lucky night. And yes our Boilermakers have plenty of concerning flaws to clean up or we'll be looking at another ugly early exit come March. Regardless, congrats Huskers and you deserve to be ranked next week for sure.
A little underrated, but we still took a beating from in state rival creighton. I think the team was playing a perfect game, and Purdue had a bad game at a really tough venue to play in.
Super slow but he could have a role in the NBA, think of Mark Eaton who was like D player of the year a couple times on those great Jazz teams or Georghe Muresan with the Bullets who was pretty effective for a couple of years as a sorer and rebounder until injuries, thing is Edey is more offensively talented than either of those two I mentioned however he does not have the shot blocking timing of Eaton.
@@deanfirnatine7814lol the game is just a little bit different than the 80’s and 90’s when those guys played. I’ll be surprised if he even is a backup in the league, there is just no place for a guy that slow that can’t defend or shoot
These annouvers are hilarious, if a guy misses a shot even if its a good look, they start in saying what bad shot it was, and if they make one even an open one start yelling around about how good of a decision it was lol.
Both of our losses are road games and non Nike basketballs. Don't understand why their are different game balls in different games. Guessing Nebraska isn't a Nike school.
What can you say? Last game and a half PU has stunk, out scored in 3 straight halfs. Edy is a no show, either because he can't perform when he gets the ball, or they don't get him the ball enough and I tend to think it's the latter. He put up 10 shots last night, 10! You have a 7-4 center and he only gets off 10 shots? Should have 10 dunks every game and another 5 or six baskets on top of those, Pitiful.
Ok I will admit I do not watch men’s NCAA basketball much but did anyone notice several instances from both teams that a player was open but they took a contested shot and missed when Iowa women’s basketball, especially Catlin Clark, would have made the pass for an easy basket for the team…ya I will stick to watching women’s Iowa basketball lol
2 takeaways. Nebraska will be in the tournament if they don't choke the rest of the season. Edey isnt a good ball player. He can't shoot, he can't move, he's a 7'4" rock that throws elbows. I still believe Purdue deserves that #1 rank, but you can't convince me Edey is player of the year material
Those fade jumpers from Tominaga are old-school. So so so sweet to watch....
Keisei is pulling up from the parking lot, with a defender in his pocket, still not touching rim.
The energy he brought to Nebraska basketball is unreal
When he’s hot he’s HOT
Keisei Tominaga isn’t real I’m pretty sure
Never expected Nebraska to sniff this level of play after watching them earlier in Hoibergs' tenure. Home floor means so, so much in college hoops.
Watching those 7-25 seasons was well worth it . I knew hoiberg would figure it out. Now it’s Rhules turn

この流れを大事にしたいね😚
まじそうなんよ!
Hearing a Commentator say "how did he get that ball" on a rebound by a 7'4" center is wild...
Jimmer-esque performance from Tominaga
As a badger fan I'm happy seeing this. Nice job Nebraska. I wish the game was on the bigTEN network not peacock.
Purdue has always had a soft, slow underbelly. Their guards are easily managed and if you can contain Edey, they're VERY beatable.
Tomi with the WET drip 👌🏀🔥

Big Red led by the Asian Sensation, Keisei Tominaga!
Braska balling! Go Big Red!
Can Nebraska do this every game? If so they are easily a top ten squad.
Beautiful to watch! GBR!
keisei‼️
Go Keisei!!!
Wow Purdue, probably should drop from #1 spot after that shellacking. Can't lose like that. Well done Husks!
Probably?
@@Aldrickrosas14Houston lost too so they might not. I would probably put Purdue at 2 behind Kansas
#2 is way too generous. @@ryanamburgy2791
Purdue should be 6 or lower 😂
10 thru 20 for me.@@olyseth
Wow..CORNHUSKERS peel off Purdue..amazing!!!
The parity in college bball is excellent this year!
Yep, NCAA tourney is going to be fun again.
#51 is a hooper!
Its those Adidas Headwear / Headband. Now everyone's playing like Cornhusking Ninjas on the court.
YEAH BABY!
Yeahhhh buddy gbr
Need even gonna blame Purdue. Nebraska was hitting everything

Best loss of this year was Bob Knight.
Typical IU fan comment! What does this game have to do with Bob Knight.. Let it go.. We don't care about your former Coach!!
The fans were the difference!

they've shown a lot of improvement this year. also when you shoot 61% from the 3 point line, it's hard to lose that game.
We played like the #1 team in the country. We’re not that. But we are significantly underrated

After they dog Purdue they get evaporated by Maryland, typical Nebraska.
Kansas fan here. Wish Nebraska was still in the big 12.
Unfortunately everybody is going to follow the revenue.

Great win Nebraska over the boilerfakers! Can you maintain this level of play though, that's the big question.
60% of 3? No. Enjoy the big win though.
tomi... like curry's shot touch
It was a great season! Nebraska’s best imo. 🤷♂️🏀
The announcers missed out on explaining the beauty of Nogasagis' shot. The rainbow arch. And a backspin that's a blur.
Japan should put this on live seriously.. I am sick and tired of watching these highlights!! Isn’t Purdue one of the top in the nation??
This game was on peacock
Looks like Nebraska is the team to beat. They are now my pick to make it to the Final Four.
Extended highlights but you only left 3 seconds of court storming? Do better please.
GBR!すごいぜ!ハスカーズ!
There is a reason Edey hasn’t gone to the league.

The faster NBA game will definitely expose him. If he even finds a roster spot in the league.

The announcers sound like a dollar store Chris Colinsworth worth and Jay Bilas
Jac Collinsworth and Robbie Hummel
I said when they hired Fred that their program will be better than iowa in a few years.
Yeah they are getting spanked at Carver 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I loss a lot money on this game. Dude destroyed Purdue.
Edey isn’t that good he’s just big!!Take a few inches off him and he’s not even gonna be a starter

I agree with the first takeaway, but not the second. The boilerfakers IMHO are a 10 thru 20, definitely not a number one.
