Exactly what I am reminded of but I was thinking more the Brad Miller, Brian Cardinal teams playing with willpower and toughness, and everybody playing there roles to their utmost abilities.
This is a nightmare matchup for the Zags primarily because of Zach Edey. If the Zags face them in the Tourney, which would have to be for the championship probably, they should play Efton Reid more against Edey. However, Purdue is overall a better team, even though the Zags have improved and did beat Alabama by 10 on the road this year. They also beat Kentucky.
Zags always overrated. Finally they play some real teams in regular season, now they won’t get the automatic #1 seed every year from playing only Mickey Mouse schools
This young core has more resolve than any of the last few years teams. Smith is special.
They found a Point Guard and he is fantastic...everyone plays better now. 🙂

Sure, last year was fun to watch. But ya need defense. Had no idea Smith & Loyer would make an impact so soon. Obviously a 10 team...sky is the limit.
Edey reminds me a lot of Purdue's Steve Scheffler. Does the yeoman's work at the bottom of the paint with deadly efficiency.
