July 2017 - For this trip to Israel, my wife and I rented an apartment in Tel Aviv, Israel, and used it as our base to explore the region. From the outside, the neighborhood and buildings look a little old and run down, but on the inside, the apartment that we rented was superb. It was spacious, perfectly laid out, and what I especially loved, and I think you will too, is the outdoor terrace / balcony. The weather was perfect in July, a little warm in the sun, but in the shade on the ends of the day on the balcony it was amazing to sit outside.
I hope you enjoyed this Tel Aviv apartment tour and that it gives you a glimpse into local living in Tel Aviv. I found Tel Aviv to be a very expensive city to live and travel in. I rented this apartment on Airbnb for $114 per night for a very short term stay, that's why it was expensive, but rent by the month can also be quite expensive in central Tel Aviv. In comparison to hotels in Tel Aviv though, for that amount of space, I found them to be quite expensive and in high demand as well.
My wife, son, and I had a great stay at this apartment in Tel Aviv!

Hey Dhruv, yes I will do my best to keep the videos on this channel and main channel synced in same location. But videos are usually a couple months behind real-time because it take me some time to organize and edit. But usually I post current updates on Instagram.

    I'll give you a tip
Don't buy your food in Tel Aviv (because it's really expensive there indeed)
Take 10 a minutes drive to Bat Yam, Holon, or any other city around Tel Aviv, and buy it there, in half price

  • @TheEEStudent

How do I explain this.. Well, you see, I lived for two years in Tel Aviv during the nineties and have seen both the good and the bad. Well, assuming nothing had changed since - which is probably correct - then Tel Aviv still has - per capita - more culture performances than Berlin, more street artists than Paris and more sushi eateries than Tokyo. But it also has - again per capita - more drug hideouts than Bogota, more whorehouses than Amsterdam and more illegal gambling hideouts than in Las Vegas. Tel Aviv has it all, simply put because its inhabitants know they may be living on a short straw, so they live it out. So you may love Tel Aviv, you may Hate it, but you cannot stay indifferent to it. And the worst part? It kinda grows on you. If you stay there too long - You will still be able to get out of Tel Aviv, but you will not be able to get Tel Aviv out of yourself.

TheEEStudent oh gosh you are so wrong. A LOT has changed. The numbers of new & tall buildings, the intensity of it & renovation -- the city looks completely different, w/ still work to do. On the cultural/social front, it's similar.

First. I really hope you've enjoy in Israel. I'm more an Jerusalem kind of type. And please come to visit it. I really in love with this city.
About the price in Tel Aviv
It's a fair price to rent by rental overnight.
For us. As Israelis it's cost about 2,200-2300$ for this kind of place.
It's in good area. And everything is close to you. But this price is not included additional fees and taxes. Like water bill. Electric bill. property tax for the city hall. i.e.
So yes. 114$/night is a good price

6:25 In Malta water has to be delivered by a water truck (like oil and gas somewhere else haha)
Because we don’t have any lakes or rivers

Great video Mark. Did you also stay in this sort of lodging in Jerusalem?. I've been told that Tel Aviv is much more expensive than Jerusalem, due to it being a resort city, is that true?

6:30 biggest issue while I travel since I have used to get good water whatever tap I am using in my homeland. Quite sad that theres so many places where natural thing like that is an issue.

Te Aviv is part of Israel, not Palestine. I'm all for a separate state of Palestine, but it's ridiculous to claim Israel doesn't also have a right to exist a country. Jews have lived there since thousands and thousands of years, just like Arabs. This hatred will lead nowhere, just to war and more bloodshed.

There has been an Arab state in "Palestine" since 1923 called The Kingdom of Jordan whose capital is Amman. No more Arabs states , please!

This is a food Vlog - but there is no such thing ""Palestine"" - Mark made 12 great vlogs in Jordan last year ... Well Jordan is the Eat Bank and is approximately 75% of the Mandate of Palestine >>> The Arabs already got an Independent ""Palestine"" - it's called Jordan . I love your Vlogs .

Mark there is a button next to the staircase to turn on the lights in the building! Its the button that glows orange on the wall. It saves the energy, so you only turn it on when you need it

You were neighbors with Madonna! She has a mansion house right on Rothschild Blvd (RB * is * awesome!) A monthly rental for this rundown apartment would vary from ₪6 to 8,000 ($1,750 to 2,332). Free public Wi-Fi might be faster. Greetings from TLV!
