  • Dive into a unique exploration of the story of Lucius Artorius Castus, a Roman legionary from the time of Julius Caesar, through a series of fictionalized photographs. Our creative interpretation seeks to give you a glimpse into what Lucius's life might have been like, from his beginnings in a Germanic tribe near the Rhine River to his adventures and struggles in the Roman army.
As we journey through these imagined photographs, you'll experience Lucius's transformation from a young boy in tribal attire to a seasoned warrior in Roman armor. Each image is created to evoke the essence of ancient Rome, its battles, daily life, and the significant historical events Lucius would have witnessed. While fictional, our story is rooted in historical research, aiming to capture the spirit of the late Roman Republic with as much accuracy as possible.

What an intriguing mind-bender! Impossible photos that look truly authentic. Not a trace of fotoshop or Romywood!
Story-telling at its best and, as always, illustrated with captivating imagery.
It is a sad fact that the building of empire requires battles and blood, then the fall of empire requires more battles and blood. How does life ever become normal?
    Thanks L.L.

Your comments always bring a smile to my face, Wendy
IMHO we should do what we can to prevent powerful men and women from building empires.

@@TheLegendaryLore And your replies do likewise, L.L. One of my personal likes is the quote "There would be no war if no-one turned up" Its a place to start. Perhaps women could take the stance of keeping their men at home, by any means, not sending their sons off "to become heroes"?

@@wendysalter We're actually working on Lysistrata. It's slightly challenging because it's a play involving several people, but it's in the pipeline.
