"More"
By David B. Crawford & Roy Lee Johns
If I could find the right words to say
To tell you just what Christ means to me
I'd say He is more than I could show
And more than you'll ever know
Christ means more to me than you'll ever know
Christ means more to me than I could possibly show
More, more, He's so much more
More than you'll ever know
If you could have seen me just yesterday
You'd know why He's life and breath to me
You'd know why He's more than I could show
And more than you'll ever know
Christ means more to me than you'll ever know
Christ means more to me than I could possibly show
More, more, He's so much more
More than you'll ever know
More, more, so much more
He's more than you'll ever know
I don't tire of listening to this beautiful song
My heart is filled with hope
.... i first heard that song in the early 1970's, and everytime i hear it my heart and eyes fill with tears of great joy and happiness,
because Christ means more to me than you'll ever know. May GOD richly bless you my beloved. 💚
Till Jesus come, forever.
Such a beautiful song, the harmonies are impeccable. RIP Jim McDonald and Max Mace. Thanks for sharing your God-given talents with us.
The harmony is mesmerising.. it brings back a lot of memories.
Very very nice and great song the lead singer doesn't have to pore out emotions like the modern gospel singers he's s calm with a great voice
Of all the songs this is the song best ever . Not only this but the BEST interpretation. Wish they had stay that way.
Dear Max and Jim...rest in peace!

What inspired these creative minds as they came up with these harmonies? What musical influences created this classic sound?
If you ask me, the obvious musical influences back then were Ralph Carmichael, Otis Skillings and Ray Conniff. But less obvious but in plain sight were the lush harmonies of the Carpenters who were the top Easy Listening musical act during this period.
In this day and age, it is so popular to text the acronyms, *RIP* or *RIH* to those sleeping in the grave. But "should not a people seek...to the dead?" (Isaiah 8:19). Although no harm may be intended, it could very well be the subtle effort of satanic forces to undermine the peculiar doctrines of Adventism; for which we should "earnestly contend" (Jude 3). The _state of the dead_ is one of those heavy issues the SDA founding fathers spent hours, days, months, and years studying, fasting, and praying over. As we approach the master mind of Satan's last and most fierce struggle (Revelation 12:12), absolutely *nothing* should be considered unimportant or trivial. The doctrines of other denominations have "crept in unawares" (Jude 4) in the Laodicean Church, who "are destroyed for lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6).
Wonderful music lyrics & what great sound. Thank you!
Do you know of any recordings of Heritage Singers in Denver at what was Phipps Autitorium 1975?
You're welcome. No, I'm not aware of any recordings of that concert in Denver.
They performed several nights a week for 3 weeks or more with an evangelist whose last name was Fowler. Thank you for your reply.
I did some research and found out such recordings may indeed exist!
I'll try my luck on getting my hands on it!
I don't appreciate the mix ,I don't mix gospel with secular music ,if it's a mix it's should be only gospel.
If it's secular music, then only secular music.
Beautiful.
