It's called marketing and profitability for a business to sell things separately. Why should they include more of their products for free? Best solution is to buy more gear and get some TacTies. Besides, the improvisation you've illustrated here is far better than those TacTies. And to be honest almost everyone watching this has a hank of paracord laying around. Other than the complaining about not getting extras, this is a nice video and very informative. 👍
That paracord looks like it will hold fairly solid. Of course, I found this video after I just ordered tacties! I like how the cocoon keeps a slim profile with the bag.

the clip is for the loops on their packs.
Tacties are a pain if you have to remove them. Paracord is better.
