Clapping is indeed a charming expression of appreciation for the pilots - provided they're not tempted to leave their cabin and controls to take a bow and acknowledge the applause - and in any case, failing to land safetly doesn't exactly encourage booing!!
Cool video. Have you ever landed in SE Alaska during hurricane force winds? One time the plane (AK Air) it so hard the O2 masks popped out. The cross winds are crazy. I always hope I get to sit next to someone who never landed in SE AK just so I can watch their body language. My last flight the turbulence was so bad the gal next to me asked if we were on the ground. I told her no, we’re still in the air. She was scared so I explained that it was normal and the pilots all undergo special training just for our area.
Hello,if you landed at heathrow on Saturday 11th of February i believe i caught the go around on camera from the outside (Myrtle Avenue) . If you want to i can create an edit with both footage and Tag you in the video.
At touch-down the outer engine tends to lower downwards.... is that correct or was it due to the positioning of the camera? Those vortices though .... wow! Yeah clapping gets on my nerves as it sort of reminds you that you have just been "lucky"? .... lolz.
@@murtaaviation19 You don't know what scary is until you have experienced landings at Wellington on a bad day. The only airport I have flown out of where I thought I might crash on takeoff.
By far one of the roughest approaches I have ever seen. Kudos for the steady hands and the flight crew for theirs.

Excellent landing despite this stormy weather. I have seen hard landing in calm weather. Great job from pilots. 👍
Interesting watching the ice melting on the inner wing during the first approach. Anything smaller than an A380 would have been so much more bumpy!
It's an A380. Storms avoid it.
Great wing views. Keep posting, you'll break the 1000 subs soon 👏
Thank you :)
Man that was sooo scary 😬
It is quite something to watch the rise & fall of the engine cowlings with thrust inputs.
People start clapping once they hear the reverse thrust kick in! And you get a glimpse of the windsock - almost horizontal.
My god that thing is massive
i did not feel scared for one moment of the landing
neither have I lol, I used the word “scary” so more people would watch my video :)

'hurricane force winds.'? 🤥
I think Emirates pilots are among the best in dealing with tricky conditions/emergencies. This is bread and butter for commercial pilots mind you..
Yes because they are pakistani pilots...
Yes because they always have to land in such bad weather 🤣 I think Scandinavian pilots are better ..
Very nice thank you

Yea you’re correct
After touchdown the wing loses lift , so tends to droop downwards under the weight.
@@maninthecab Aww Ok .... gotcha! The AoA also changes .... makes sense ... thanks Mr. Cabman!
What was scary about it?..
nice video... what is that white patch on the wing?
i don’t know tbh
Where was the Go Around?
@@SJF15 London Heathrow (EGLL, LHR)
@@murtaaviation19 I knew that.. Where in the video was the Go Around?
@@SJF15ohh, right in the beginning of the video when I say “go-around”.

No I think it is just clapping about surviving a bad landing.
Scary landings are people screaming and a few crying. And nobody claps when you have landed.
that day around 3 pm, in elizabth tower, i fell like a dog from my bike. i flew. very lucky not to come under a car
there's nothing "scary" here, and why are people clapping?
Yawn!
Nothing scary or interesting here.
nice
