Was supposed to be doing this in Feb for my birthday, but the company I worked at banned all international travel the week i was going to go. Here's to going next year, and when the weather is a bit warmer (though I imagine Hotel prices in February are much cheaper!)
I have always thought Samedan was one of the coldest places in Switzerland and watching the outward journey didn't change my mind! Brrr! Thanks for another interesting video and please could I put in a request to see this route in the summer at some time in the future? The whole line as far as Scuol would be even better!
This is an absolutely beautiful video but I do wish somebody could have secured the door that keeps being latched every 10-16 seconds throughout the video. I find that the audio is interesting but the simulated sound of that compartment door latching all through the video is very annoying.
There's no door. They're the driving controls. I wish we could cater for everybody's wishes but you have to draw the line somewhere, with thousands of opinions on how it should or shouldn't be.

I'm sorry if I've been too harsh the last time, what I wanted to say is that since this railway from Saint Moritz goes to Scuol-Tarasp, it puzzled me that the part from Saglianis to Scuol-Tarasp was missing. Sorry for being harsh.
The arrows point to the right as the track is approaching in a rightward motion. If the track was leaving our track from the left, that is when I use left arrows.
Two questions. Can somebody link me to a page that explains the signal indications? And, in this age of increased security concerns how do you manage to get cab rides?
@@lorirocks777 And here I was thinking it's to sweep the snow off the side of the train as it goes by. That reminds me of ropes that hang from a beam above the tracks. If it's night time and you're on top of the train and you feel those ropes hit you, you best duck. There's a low overpass ahead.
