The older I get, the more I realize how rare it is to find someone willing to share hard won information and skills.....it's more often a competition where information is power. You not only take the time, you are good at it, and you ask nothing in return for those that can't always contribute. How cool. To grow up these days and have this sort of access would be so amazing. Keep up the good work!
Even guys you work under will bask in the joy of making you feel like a moron everytime you have a question. People in the trades can be so damn bitter. That's why Richard is so refreshing to watch
Keep up the good work! ✏🔨
But I've learned that just because the information is available doesn't mean people are willing to put in the time and effort to perfect a technique or even to execute it properly. That's why it's getting so difficult to find workers that are worth their pay these days. Everyone wants things handed to them.
Hey Richard-appreciate the master class. I just installed Wainscoting in my dining room and followed your guidance. It turned out awesome.
All the best
So cute your son learning from the Master!!
Phenomenal series Richard. I learned a great deal through watching the entire series and I want to thank you for sharing your expertise, experience and insights.
I see you have the boss with you making sure things get done right!
Foreman :)
"Put your safety glasses on man" goes into the corner and covers eyes with hands. Will the cuteness ever end!?! Great video and series man.
your son so cute love his safety glasses but im so glad you went back to the room I'm going to do my living room just like that so I have to wait till your done
I love how he works nice and slow and importantly precise. It goes to show with the right tools and patience you can create a masterpiece
Your little guy is so adorable. Thank you for such a detailed video series. Three years after the fact, excellent.
That supervisor you have is on you all the time😂😂 great video
Super refreshing to have an instructional video that isn’t at 250 words per minute. Amazing content, thanks so much for sharing your experience! 💪
Nice job Rich good to see the future of your business is in training
This wainscot masterclass has really helped me with my wainscot project, I've just finished cutting my hard board to size.
You are my hero. Was wanting to do this project. Watched all the previous videos and was hoping you would finish the series. And here you are.
I wanted to do wainscoting in my bathroom and came across this series. I watched every video and I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. The info and techniques you shared streamlined my initial thought process and planning. ✌🏼
Oh, your little helper is just the cutest!!!!! I want to see him in all your videos. :)
I was watching this project from the beginning, I kept searching for this video thinking it was finished but couldn’t find it! Glad to see the end results!!! Looks great 👍
Looks great!!!! The look is a million bucks for an affordable cost of materials. Fine looking mansprout you have helping you too. Enjoy your kids. They don't stay young for long.
Thank you for sharing and always amazed at the precision of all your cuts! Everything fits so perfectly. Awesome work!
I love finish carpentry TV..
And he told his son to put his safety glasses on and he was standing in the corner covering his eyes with his hands..😂😂😂😂😂😂 kids are so hilarious..
Sweet. I've got my dewaukkee shirt ordered. 👍
I agree 100% on the over gluing. When I used to do wood work I would spread out glue with a little paint roller so every area of surface had glue on it, like ALOT. I love the attention to detail you demonstrate, shows what sets you apart!
Keep it up
I forgot about you, until i looked for wainscoting, and you can up. Resubcribed
I use a Formica roller to put pressure and push the glue around when I do an install like that. The Lowe’s brand to be be exact.
I've learned so much from your videos, thank you for all you do!
loved this series. i needed the last one as i am doing this same project. thanks for all you do.
Just want to say thank you for all your tips. My baseboard job turned out great. Even got recommended for 2 more jobs. Thanks for all your help.
Thats a great helper you have quiet and observing the best!
Great video Richard nice to see they family helping out ! great video thanks
Time to update those old outlets to the new nice white square decora outlets
I'm thinking to myself "I know I've seen something like that backband look inside the panel before". It hit me that it's a similar looking reveal in box beam ceilings that I've seen. I freaking love it man. Amazing work as always.
I laughed out loud @10:35 for safety glasses. Always appreciated!
LowesDepot! Lmao. I bought 2 dewakee shirts on the last run and I love wearing it in front of the milwaukee employee dudes in the tool section at the depot!
Another tip to help you secure your sheet goods, is to pull the sheet away from the wall a few inches. It will spider web the adhesive, providing you more area coverage.
Richard, finished project looks great and has inspired me and my wife to do some in our kitchen, thanks for your time to inspire us.
Cute boy, well behaved. He will grow up to be proud of his Daddy for how hard he works and the business he has built by himself.
glad the shirts are coming back .... also superb work always
Long time coming! Keep up the great content!
That was a great addition to the cove, I like it. Thanks
Great work and very well explained.. I"m panelling out my van at the monent and because of your video's I am being super neat with all the gaps and it's looking sharp. Keep up the good work..
Wow, that’s looking really good!
Beautiful look as usual. Your son is to cute and his safety glasses on is hilarious.
Outstanding work!
Looks really good. Love the series
Man. Gorgeous stuff!!
OSHA approved "safety glasses" 🙈 🤣
My God…! What a beautiful craftsmanship
Great work man !! Keep it up 👍🏾
Such a great job, thanks very much for all these videos, it's been a real education.
Great job as always!
Nicely done, I'm in NH & work like this is always welcomed during the winter months. Love the video's, skip the haters!
7:37 a lesson I learned the hard way, using liquid nails. the hard boards started to delaminate from the drywall. I had to drill drywall screws through the hardboard into the studs to keep it in place. Then I covered the screw with a large framed art.
Great look Richard.
I got a shirt finally ! Also you son is so well behaved man. Just taking it in and paying attention. Nice !
Just ordered my shirt. Thanks!
The least I could do is buy a shirt to say thank you for the insight you have provided on your trade. I kind of wish I never started watching, because I was oblivious to the absolute shit-job in my own house. You taught me to really look at the detail and pay attention, so now I can’t unsee the gaps in my door molding or the horrible miters in my baseboards 😐 (NOT my work btw) anyways, peace.
Great to see the room coming on ,I only finished a smaller project at home that went on for too long, like yourself due to other work commitments, love the tee shirts but couldn’t justify the Excise Duty this country throws onto merchandise bought from the states, keep up the good work looking great👍 .
Just order mines today!! Awesome work!
So much great info. Thanks for making this video. Nice work and love the youngin in your video
Glad to see you back on the Tube man...That Dewalt track tho, is shortly becoming the new cordless industry standard. I love mine.... Be well and keep winning!!!
Looks amazing as always. Love your show and your work. Gonna definately get me a shirt and waiting for a lowesdepot one. Here's an idea, putting chalk board, white board or even cork board in place of the hard board for a kids room or class room. Turn each section or some of them at least into activity areas for littles!
Great video as always !!!
Thanks for the knowledge.
Glad you said what you said about Liquid Nails. I always thought What's the hype all about" this stuff sucks.
Right on bro. I've been checking out some of your videos. I'm a union carpenter, (general carpenter) but I prefer to do finish work by far amongst all the other crafts. It seems like you got a good thing going for you, and I would work with you anytime. May the Lord bless you and your fam!
Amazing craftmanship!
Great work !
Would love to see you connect with Matt from Demolition Ranch / Off the Ranch.
He’s got a nice merch business as well as a mansion build that’s going to need interior work soon
Yup... wanna bring up the views / subs. Team up with Matt.
For sure. There's a ton of trim work that'll need to be done in that house.
That’s a great idea..
They’re pretty far apart (3.5-4 hours) but doable. Matt Risinger with the Build Show is closer in Austin.
I think that is an awful idea. Matt is too much with his RUclips persona where as this guy is super chill and down to earth. It would be awkward as fuck
Great job Richard, i see you got your first student sitting at the head of the class awesome teach them young...
I like using 1/2 plywood glue it to the wall. Then pout the Wayne’s Scott on
a Mil Kita shirt would be top notch
That saw is awesome. I've never seen one like that. Must get...
Got my shirt yesterday.. love it!
1st & foremost Richard thanks to your patience & guidance I’ve now put crown molding throughout my house & now I’ve been educating myself to complete some batten wainscoting in my dining. I’ve watched all the videos and I feel I’m good to go but how can I complete with baseboard heating occupying the majority of the wall. Thanks for your help and thank you for making guys like me able to tackle these projects with professional guidance!!
Fantastic job Rich. Something I aspire to replicate in my house in Scotland. Rob
Little man covering his eyes LOL too cute!
Just ordered one, thanks!!
Gracias por su enseñanza. Saludos desde Pachuca, Hidalgo. México.
Another fine job brother
Awesome job boss! Very helpful..
I agree on the Loctite, a far superior product, liquid nails likes to crack easy indoor and outdoor. Tape the light socket just in case lol, great job Richard!
If you made a book of all your design profiles...I would buy it; I think a lot of people would buy it. Mostly because, at least for me, the guys watching your channel can measure, cut and install but we lack the vision of what looks good design wise.
The cove is great. Game changer
Bro u r very skilled and do very good neat work. Do u work for urself or for someone. Man u got all the tools. Real professional. How is ur math these days. Lol
I love your videos, I've learn so much, I wonder still how you achieve such a good precision on your cuts.
please let us know when another run of the DeWakee shirts happens. I'd definitely like a couple. Home Lowe's would be hilarious too.
I like the just shadow look of the ripped piece. But that cove made it pop. Good choice
4:54 well that changed drastically.
Here is the link to the shirt! stores.inksoft.com/finish_carpentry_tv/shop/
Thanks for the support!
Well done
Your son put on the face shield, lmao. Wainscoting looks sharp. Nice touch with the backband, good detail.
Just preordered one.
Thank You!
I want a t-shirt with your face on it. You are not only very talented with the finish work but you are most handsome.
13:08 I was waiting for the Fireworks...LOL
Damn this guy is good!
I like everything except the electric plug. On my own wc I moved the plug so that is was the same height, but now in the center of the panel. I left the original plug box alone and removed the actual plug and capped with a cover (and the wc completely hides it), used additional 12/2 over to the new box from the original (plastic blue box as no stub was available at the new spot) and installed the plug there. .
Ima be waiting for those LowesDepot shirts 🤣
Same
Yo what up Richard ! Great work bro !
just ordered my shirt!!
