    Pretty crazy how there was a big surf texture in this game, and many years later they added big surf island.

      Big surf was a thing in Burnout 2, paradise named the island after the Burnout 2 stage.

    The speedometer is actually the same as the final. It's just that some cars had different ones. Also the "crashometer" seems to be the early boost bar.

      +GrandTheftAero My guess it was an early Crash Breaker, so possibly more damage was going to be caused in Crash Mode. I could be wrong.

      Custom Cars had a green themed speedometers while the standard ones had the one similar to what's in the demo.

    I have some correction for this video. The gauges with analog speedometer was supposed to be implented to all standard cars. The custom cars gauges are green themed.

    probably crashmeter when its full you can use the crashbreaker

      +MrNayru I don't know. Alot and alot of demo files are not comaptible with the final, unlike Takedown and Revenge

      Strange but maybe the reason is the huge gameplay change between Burnout 1 & 2 in less than a year which affected the engine and formats.

    It's weird. This game had shadows unlike Burnout 3.

      +StewiebossFTW Burnout 3 has shadows, they're just less noticable. However, i want you to look at this Burnout 3 screenie:www.operationburnout.com/b3-assets/screens/ps2/wintercity1.jpg as you can see, this screen has the burnout 2 like shadows. This screenshot is actually the first PS2 screenshot to be released to the public. Most likely made around February-March of 2004.

      GrandTheftAero Oh. When I played the game on my Original Xbox, it didn't really show any shadows. I don't know if it was the blur effect, or the console I was playing on.
