Dog is like "Dad, can we go?!?!"
LOL.. yes.. Rocco was ready to run...
@@jasonpatnoude2836 I could tell the moment he popped back inside.
We gotta move *quick* ....drives off doing 10 mph.....lmao
lol very true although I believe the dates tornado ever only went about 15mph. They’re typically slow moving
That's some of the best audio of a tornado I've ever heard, It's usually rainy or windy or someone's talking too much over it
Great footage, the dog is saying "Hey this ain't the Dog Park"
This sucks, what a bummer for those people. Tornadoes blow.
What a catch. That is some of the best video of tornado formation I have seen. Great video!
That is some good looking farmland...just saying. Great footage!
Thanks! I spend many hours in those fields!
Just to be clear, I didn’t take the footage. I work on the farm that owns the fields.
I was just taking my pups out for an adventure when this happened... glad i was able to capture it.
Nice job getting that on video. Thanks for sharing!
Your camera was just fine!
If you were the one who shot this video, you should consider joining the other storm chasers who stream their chases live on here. Great job from the perspective of a blind guy lol
@@visionaryvapor8207 🤣already contemplating quitting the job..and chasing the breeze - life in the danger zone...
Wow, amazing video!
I was driving all over southern Calhoun County trying to avoid this damn thing and others. Nice job filming this bro.
Wow!! Great job capturing this, Mother Nature can really be scary sometimes.
I live in Montcalm county and watched as all the horrible weather blew around us. I was looking forward to some good thunderstorms (as always) but then they started spawning tornados and it was a big NOPE!
Great job. I could see how fast it was moving over the ground. Very impressive
GREAT JOB! That tornado was huge! You also had a storm chasing dog with you!
This sucks, what a bummer for those people. Tornadoes blow.
@GregoryAlanBaileygamereviews I want to say that I hate the pun but honestly I gotta say nice one
Great video , I watched rotation over our house in eau claire yesterday . Glad you are ok and hope everyone else is .
Very impressive footage. Shows how unpredictable these beasts can be. Also very beautiful to see how it somehow dances, touches down, dissapears, changes the shape, touches down again. Very entertaining plus the thrill of it. Really good video.
That poor dog knew and didn't like it. Amazing how large it got, once it crossed the road!
That's Rocco and yep... he was wondering what was going on..
This sucks, what a bummer for those people. Tornadoes blow.
Oh, he knew what was going on and thinking Dad is nuts for taking me out.💕🐕🙏@@jasonpatnoude2836
Animals hate severe weather more than humans. Mostly because they are more sensitive to it, especially dogs. Most animals can actually feel the atmospheric pressure drop which is the biggest indicator of an approaching storm. Humans can't really feel it. You know a storm is approaching before you see it because the birds will suddenly go quiet, your pets will start to pace the house. Pets make great radar.
wow that is crazy!!! glad you stayed safe!
The recent Michigan tornados were very non-photogenic. This is the best footage that I have seen of one of them.
That turned into a beefy nado! What an awsome lucky chance at such a good video. Surprised your puppers wasn't way more spooked lol
That dog is genuinely looking that thing like “ one more 🌪️ tornado in my dog’s life “.
Shit man it's been since 1990 when one went through there like that
Dude you did awesome to capture this, great footage!! Thank You!!
Thanks! First ever in real life.. was pretty wild.
Thanks for sharing. I’m in Manchester and these videos are very important to keep all of us informed in Mi. I hope you and your buddy 🐶 are safe 🙏
Both enthralling and terrifying at same time. 😨
That's a nasty storm. And kinda unpredictable where the next of these vortices will appear or disappear, better keep some distance to that thing. You never know where any additional rotation begins and where/when it really ends.
Good comment. He got some great footage, but it looks like he was in the middle of major rotation. A vortex could have dropped on top of him any second.
Part of this storm hit my house last night and I've never seen clouds move the way they did then. It was perfect conditions for tornadoes to pop out of no where.
Great footage. Just be careful, when it comes to twister footage: twister paths are so unpredictable.
Dang. That was amazing
Yep, as "they" say..."If a Torantanado is Not moving left or rite, it means it's coming for "Dinner"...😮😮
No one says that
Here's the actual saying: If a tornado isn't moving left or right, it's either moving toward you or away from you.
@@wbsc56 ....Liteten up, dude...Don't be so stuffy...😳😳😳
@@MTF_Unit_Alpha-1 ...Okay, if YOU say so...😳😳😳
THIS WAS AN INCREDIBLE VIDEO, HOLY COW WHEN IT SPLIT INTO 3 WOW
Finally someone who can hold a camera steady!
Thanks, Jason, for the footage. Stay safe. Take your buddy home.
my man ain't scared of anything🌚
With all due respect, you're witnessing the formataion of multivortex large tornado and you're damn lucky it didn't make a hard turn. When the hail hit, you exclaimed "It's back on the ground again"... If I may clue you in: it's been on the ground the whole time. Then, it became rain-wrapped.
The scariest part of this vid is not the tornado - it's wondering if you understand tornado-genesis and why you shouldn't be in the bear's cage. There's some good courses you can take online to become a really good storm-chaser.
That said, this is nice videography of the tornado. Glad you make it home safely!
Must have been one hell of a show !!!
Great Footage Man 🌪
The German Shepherd was the smartest one in that truck. Willing to risk other peoples lives for a video.
Look for the rotation in the storm. Fortunately this is during day light, at night we havw to rely on radar and rely on local tv weather. No doubt folks this will happen many more times this Spring and Summer. Be weather wise Michigan!
@@rachelcook5452I believe we are in a changing jet stream pattern going back to La Niña. The oceans are warming and I did see a video that said in the future these storms will move further north. It wasn’t normal for WI to have the first ever recorded February tornado either, but it happened this year. Our local meteorologist is eating crow.

Climate change
@@rachelcook5452 You are 100% wrong Rachel. An F5 tornado went through Flint, Michigan in 1953 killing 116+ people w/ 844 injured (Wikipedia, 1953 Flint-Beecher tornado). It headed east and went through Grant Twp., St. Clair County, Michigan; killing no one but destroying many local farms. That tornado has spooked us kids who lived through it ever since (we're in our 70's now). I'm not a storm chaser, but definitely can tell when a tornado is in the air by the looks of the clouds and the stillness in the air. Watch for the cotton-candy looking clouds or the mammatus clouds. When you're traveling and see a tree that looks like it's been through a blender (it was the victim of a tornado).
@@MillicentAspinet No you can't
Saya sangat memberikan apresiasi kepada anda dengan berani memberikan video yang luar biasa.
Great work, thanks for this!
What a shot!
I was real close to it... cool as hell
Thanks for video
Word of advice. If you see a Tornado not moving it’s coming towards you
It could also be moving away from you. Depends on whether or not it appears to be getting larger or smaller.
Yes just about literally everyone know this at this point.
That's why it's good to keep an all band weather radio, 📻
@@telford32 Kinda doubt it. Common sense isn't a thing despite its name and no, most people do not know tornado trivia.
@@sabishiihito You missed what they're saying. If it's not moving, it means you don't know where it's going so you should, for the sake of safety, act like it's coming toward you and get away from it and to a safe, secure area.
Incredible footage!
great catch!!!
That tornado starting forming down here in indiana. We watched the funnel cloud.
Great footage!
Nice video, thanks!
Excellent.....Excellent.....Excellent.....video of a tornado! I hope no was hurt. To the gentlemen and (German Shepherd !!) that was in the road filming.....thanks very much for your "nerve" to do that!!
To think this formed in my state. I live in grand rapids and we barely got any rain, but man I was shocked with the amount of warnings that storm system produced. Even a tornado emergency
That little dog who fought the tornado in that other video would be so disappointed.
MLIVE called to report - this was an F2 with 130mph winds.
Always astounded how foolish people are driving in a tornado system. And with their pet...
Let's not give this guy car insurance...internal memo
I live in Michigan too.
There's dozens of us. Dozens!
Um ok
Impressive footage 😊
I was always taught you cant get in a car and run or drive away from a tornado, but you've proven you can
If you are an experienced storm chaser, which the creators of this video apparently are not, you always have an escape route in case the tornado makes a hard turn. If you are on the road and you see a tornado, stop at the nearest house and get into safe shelter, which in Michigan is the basement. If you are not near any houses and you KNOW THE DIRECTION OF THE STORM, you can drive 90 degrees away from it. So, for example, if the storm is heading east, you can turn north or south. This is only good if the tornado is at least a mile away from you. Otherwise, you need to find a deep ditch lay down on your stomach as flat as you can, put your hands over your head, and stay there. Do NOT seek shelter under a bridge or in a storm drain. Do NOT seek shelter in a barn or a shed. Stay away from power lines.
This is the most terrifying video I have ever seen on RUclips.
No it is not
@@railfanningpoints2.045 how do you know if you're not me?
If that was me i would be driving 100 mph
That sucker is vicious!
That's an EF2 MY FRIEND
That is big hail for this part of the world. I've seen tennis ball sized hail at DFW airport.
I am a 7th level tornado expert. Please do not attempt to hunt tornadoes. They are too dangerous for amateurs. You have to be licensed at level 5 expert before you can even hunt tornadoes in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. I am 7th level expert tornado hunter
Holy HELL indeed...
Nice work!
Thanks for the video… so much for the myth that we are protected from tornadoes by the Great Lakes 🤦🏼♀️
If Michigan is getting naders, then you know it's a wild spring.
It's a dream of mine to actually witness a tornado that's cool kind of looks like it was an ef3 pretty big tornado for Michigan
yep, first ever, super rare in Michigan... couldn't have asked for more... no dead, limited damage.. and cool as hell.
Don’t think you had to tell the dog twice. He was trying to tell you that it was time to go.😏
Wow that is so scary
That is crazy!
Move quick means move quick
"Oh crap, that is coming towards me too."
Please always watch above your head. Glad those barns got spared. Don't scare your dog by yelling. At least wear a half helmet when it's hailing.
Where was this, ?
Warren Wiids?
Colon, mi
I'm not even kidding we were driving on Michigan and had JUST missed the tornado!
That’s amazing
Felt like at the 6.24 minute mark you just grabbed a bat and swung away at a hailstorm.🌪🙋♂
We we're at Firekeepers and a security guard was yelling at everyone trying to get us all to go huddle together in the middle of the casino
Sendingthoughts & prayers to your ways .
That's so generous of you. Thank you!!
I saw a News Article today saying that Michigan had 7 Confirmed Tornadoes hit last night. My heart breaks for all of you who have gotten hit by bad Tormdoes in all different States around the US.
Great video but this dude is completely insane.

same.. and this was the first for me
Not mine. I'm from Oklahoma! I'd rather be underground personally.
Poor pupper was scared an didn’t want to be there at all
Got sea sick with all the camera movement everywhere but loose
That's what happens when you're driving and using your phone at the same time.
That pointless gymnastics spin apparently affected a lot more than you in the comments.
Michigan gets twisters??
Nice video but the panning makes me queasy.
The money you got for selling this should cover your hail damage deductible 😂

Oh boy more trees cut to rebuild
tornadoes every week, what's up with that?
Normal. Not as frequent as "tornado alley" but even Michigan gets tornadoes
@@fateweaver9844 theres been tornados, heavy winds, flooding, or hail from east to west coast of the United States. THIS IS NOT NORMAL
@@nash3527 It's not that rare. It's a cycle of El Nino. Happens every 4 years.
@@fateweaver9844 bs. this did not happen 4 years ago. What are you smoking?
@@nash3527 lol. Really? Tornado alley gets tornadoes daily every year.
Last I checked California gets wildfires yearly. The east coast gets hurricanes that come up from Florida.
I didn't say it happens as much as this year but it's not unheard of
I live not to far from you
Always happy to see drivers on their phones, especially during a severe weather event. Nothing screams safety like putting your foot on the pedal and your hand on a smartphone. :)
There was one other car behind him. What other cars did you see on the road? I'm certain this qualifies as an exception to the state law. He was able to gather valuable footage and he put zero lives at risk doing so.
Exactly country road, the one car was following just to be next to someone. They pulled over behind me 2 times. Beyond that it’s just a road in a field where you can see everything
did this guy really just say *it touched back down good*? lol pretty sure tornados arent a good thing....
not " it touched down, good" but "wow it touched down good - meaning hard".. your gonna correct my spelling aren't you?
