@Jason Legendary Art thank you so much for making these video's I started my art journey about three years ago and late in age, graphite shading has always eluded me. And watched so many YT video's on how to shade which added more confusion and crappy results. So I went head first into airbrushing because I love to paint with them. But since coming across your videos it has helped me immensely and I am back into the graphite medium with way better results from your video's! Plus your sense of humor makes people retain a lot more knowledge. Thanks for all you do.
You are welcome, thanks too
Bro, not only are your drawings amazing, your video editing skills are one of a kind. Thanks

I struggle with that also, but well, we can learn together
@@JasonLegendaryArt no problem
That's a good video there! The right gradient of shading (tonal transition) sure makes a difference in an art piece.
Just to mention, I also saw the details you have added to this one to make it hyper-realistic. Well done, man! (add a smiling emoji)
Thanks man, glad you noticed the details. Happy to see you Joshua. 🤜🤜.
Man you always get me in your video
Wow really! Glad you found it relatable 😁😁
Happy new year 😎
You are welcome
remember GRADIENT 🙌
You got it my bro 👍👍
Almost at 100k followers brother. I’m still trying to get my first 100 😂 Love your humor and incredible drawings.
You can do it!
I'm sure when you did those art pieces back then, they were master pieces to you😂😂. You now see the faults they have now because you have become greater than before. It's one of those feelings artists go through. Have you ever seen your old work and the urge to work on it again kicks in😊.
Great point!
👏👏👏👏

Thanks
I am also freelance portrait artist in Philippines.. sometimes using graphite alone and sometimes charcoal depends on the price.. if they asked lower price then I used graphite.. one thing catches my attention on your technique is you using first pencil and then graphite and finished it with charcoal.. will it is a good outcome as I tried it..😊😊😊 keep it up buddy..❤❤❤
Hlo sir. It is really sold in freelance?
Freelance means I only do drawing when somebody asked me to draw her or him.. but I have my permanent job..
@@kangaroojackblog6586 tq so much for your reply

What about us without brushes and charcoal powder can we shade using the ordinary pencil 🥺
Yes you can use just pencils but it is good to have a range from at least B to 6B. Anything above a 6B you should you charcoal powder to reduce graphite shine. Charcoal powder is best used for your very darkest tones.
Well answered, EtchAndSketch. Wish I could take tutorials from you 😉
Happy new year sir, please help me,I don't have a brush and charcoal powder how can I do brilliant artworks without using them.i always usually use shading pencils and my shades sometimes just end up being a little bit rough, how can I make them smooth
No problem bro, check out maas art on IG, he only uses pencil and I'm jealous of his works. Just get a wide range of pencil, light like 2b, medium like 4b and dark like 7 or 8b. And when shading, build up tones and values gradually. Few months ago I made a tutorial on how to shade with only graphite, you should watch it.
@@JasonLegendaryArt thank you very much sir much love ✌🏾
Hii bro
Hey
New art pez 😢😢
What app do you use for grids to make sure you are getting the right proportions?
There are lots of techniques that artist vlogger won't show you... 80% of the artist vlogger who get exactly the same proportion as to the reference is by way of tracing the reference to the drawing paper .. 😂😂😂😂😂 it is cheating.. but who cares as long they can make a content...
In my way I never trace the reference.. I put my reference to the computer and print it.. on the bond paper that printed my reference I only make two lines, vertical and horizontal and then I used devider proportion to get the exact proportion... I only used gridding method if my drawing is double or triple the size of the reference...
It's funny, cause there are people who would still call that your method cheating.
I would say use whatever means to get the proportions right, whether it's tracing, grid or dots. It's only cheating if you start to lie that you used freehand
The app is called Drawing Grid Maker
why dont you just use charcoal
Do you always use the grid method for your drawing? I want to do better realistic drawings but my free hand isn't that good
You could research the loomis method 👍
Yes I do!
❤❤🎉🎉👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍
Thanks
How do u shade the face realistic😭🔥
