The SXP is definitely a good shotgun. I have the same model, I’ve had it for almost 4 years I have no complaints on mine. I kept mine pretty much stock, I put a Tru Glo fiberoptic front sight on it and a pic rail from Winchester for a flashlight and a sling but that’s it’s. I’ve wanted to put a shot card on the receiver I just haven’t got around to it.
The heat shield is from ATI - www.atioutdoors.com/product/classic-deluxe-heatshield-with-sights/ and the flashlight with mount is from trinitysupply - www.trinitysupply.com/Shotgun-Flashlight-s/169.htm
Just FYI. If you do get the heat shield, you will have to do some alterations on one of the screws. Let me know if you need help before installing it so you don’t create any damage to the barrel or the heat shield. I will create a video on what to do if do need help.
ATI Classic Shotgun Heat Shield Fits: Most 12, 16 and 20 Ga and .410 pump shotgun barrels. Heatshields should not be used on Mossberg Mariner or Remington Marine Coat Shotguns. This will only fit if the barrel lug is more than 13.5″ from the receiver.
Can anyone tell me how I'm supposed to get the shotshell follower out of this fucking gun Update: the problem has been solved. 2 little tabs were holding the follower in.

I've had a Winchester Defender since 2017. The only thing I've added is a sling. It's been flawless.

How did you attach the heat shield? Did you need any special tools or put on an additional amount?
No special tool needed, just a screwdriver. Hardware are included with the shield. No additional mount needed.

Flashlight has been great. No issues whatsoever. It’s a 1200 lumen flashlight from trinitysupply.com
