The relay is there for the purpose of doing everything possible to give each horn as close to 100% of the requested power for full volume. The shorter the run from power to the device the less voltage drop occurs. Also, the large gauge wiring, the less resistance to conducting electricity, which means less voltage drop. Without using the relay, you're splitting the available power (10amp in the GR Corolla) in half per horn. If both horns are 5amp draw, then there is no issue. If the horns are 6amp draw, you'll pop your fuse, as that would be 12amps being pulled across a 10amp fuse. Aside from that, due to the cable run - horn switch, to the fuse, to the horn - you're losing electricity the entire way through, which means your horns are not getting the full amount of amps needed to work at full volume. Relays of that nature that I've seen tend to be rated for 30amps. Being that the battery lead (power) is behind the left headlight, the power run from power, to the relay, then to the horn is incredibly short. You can go a bit overboard with 10gauge wire and you've just set yourself up with a situation where you can put in a louder horn (draws more amps) without having to go back and redo wiring.
FYI: The red horns are "Supertone" and the yellow horns are "Sharptone". They make different sounds so before you go buying one over the other, do your research. I personally prefer the yellow horns since they have a deeper tone. Happy modding.
First, I did this mod. No it wasn't $4 for me. The original horn on the GR was crap, my Scion xD was better. I bought everything you listed, worked great. It's Hella (🤣) loud. But I will say this, use the old self threading bolt from the original horn and the original bracket from the stock horn. Most pleased. Awesome safety upgrade for $25 (for me, and I had a gift card.)
Currently as of right now. There doesn't seem to be any viable rust showing on the horns just by looking through the bumper. I'm about to install something that requires me to take off the bumper. So I'll inspect further once the parts arrive.
That doesn't mean they are ok back order. It's not shipped by Amazon anymore. Their Amazon stock probably ran out after this video. So now the company has to ship it themselves and they probably just put a long wait time just in case. I have ordered stuff off Amazon that said they wouldn't be here for a 3 weeks but showed up in a week.

Thanks for the video I did mine. I use two bolts and nuts and used the holes that they had that were already there .got them centered. Pretty cool.
