Such lovely people and to be expected to put up with abuse when trying to help is disgusting. I am from Highfields, Leicester but live in USA now. I still miss Leicester. I never had any problems there.

Good video, and a great insight into how things were then.

The people in this video are respecctable and responsible but subsequent generations of black immigrants in the Highfields district were not. There were many cases in the late 1960s in the terraced homes where elderly people who had lived there for many years had their peace and feeling of well being disturbed regularly by loud music and parties far into the night. If ever a film twisted the truth, this is it.
