I have a whole home solar system in my home. I ground mounted my solar panels, because if anything goes wrong I don't have to crawl on the roof to repair it. If the panels are not placed correctly, there is a possibility of leaks in the roof. Also some incorrectly installed roof panels have caught on fire. Enjoy, I love my minimal electric bills.
Congratulations A&J on a fantastic collaboration and a backup system. It's probably best to keep the solar panels as mobile as possible so that they can be placed in the most efficient place and put away in the event of a storm. It's odd I was watching a Japanese channel and she purchased a small Bluetti for camping trips, and her cat, like yours immediately took possession of it.
Thanks for the tips my good friend and exactly what we were thinking. Just ordered a couple extra panels to maximise the effectiveness and hopefully savings over the years. Eventually, all being well, the savings will offset the cost of the setup. Have a great day 😊
Bluetti units are great. However, if you build your own solar system, you can save a lot of money. I bought a Bluetti EB150 a couple of years ago. Afterwards, I realized that it would be fairly easy to build my own. I bought some prismatic LiFePO4 cells and built up the batteries first, then added an inverter. That allowed me to charge from AC and have backup during brownouts or nasty storms. After that, I added a SCC and put it all on a cart. I wish I had a nice house like you have. I would build a nice set up and be totally off grid. The advantage of having a nice Bluetti unit like you have it that is is very clean and nicely packaged. The advantages of building your own is much lower cost and you can do your own repairs. You seem happy with the AC300. Congratulations and I hope it is reliable.
