This scene is so beautiful, the colors, the song, the timing. All of it comes together so well. This has got to be my favorite scene in the whole movie.
The slowing down and distortion of the music is absolutely phenomenal, just perfectly encapsulates the terrifying sense of foreboding and the surreal dread.
This scene was so insanely amazing the directing, the song choice, the acting, the intensity of it all, the dogs barking In the background, the feeling of confusion it caused it was amazing my fav scene.

Its an amazing scene. The way everything comes together and the music slowing down in the right places at the right time is phenomenal. Its the best scene in the movie. As a matter of fact I think its the best conjuring movie. I'm not a fan of horror movies anymore because what tends to happen nowadays in my opinion is that once you see the "monster behind the veil" so to speak, it just looks like a person in a mask or something. Its not scary anymore. I like that they moved away from that and made it about witchcraft which seems more down to earth to me and more "horrifying."
If you THINK about what just happened to him it's insane. I get chills after the scene when you hear the noises coming from the house. I personally think this is the best effect of the scene because it really wakes me up from the dream of the last scene and see what's really going on.
Not gonna lie its actually beautiful the whole scene gives me chills and i like how they just stop the music and slow down during this scene Its matched perfectly and also Remind me of bride of chucky Its seems like they just add song to give little reference to fans, such a amazing experience thank you so much
This may not be the best movie of the Conjuring franchise but this scene is amazing. And plus the song Call me is a good tune, and it works for this part of the movie so darn well.
the red light appearing and the music slowing down are great and all, but the actual reference to devil's words for being called to the house is the song lyrics, "call me anytime"
The end of the scene is the scariest part cause people have had this happen in real life. Their mind breaks (I think it's technically called a dissociative fugue) but you can really hurt people and not know why or even have a reason to.
1:36 Love that part! This was such a powerful and intense scene and somehow Blondie’s song adds to the anxiety of the situation. I absolutely loved seeing The Conjuring 3 in theaters. It was available on streaming due to Covid at the time, but I just had to see this on the big screen! Haha. Loved it!
I really can’t with this scene I can’t even watch it again, but in a good way. Like how they just shut off the music and it’s just dark reminds me of the old days where screamers were at their peak. Ooooo my lord this scene is actually horrifying and fascinating to me
Fr though man. Got high a couple of times like this and I promise I could see my friends demons in a spiritual sense. They were influencing my friends to do and say things that would further torment me.
Yeah that 1 will definitely be remembered always. Tbh I love most of the conjuring films & it's spin-offs some more than others Annabelle(2014) I hated the ending. But everything else I was fine with especially the make up effects of the demon was impressive scares included.
I must say although I liked the film and how it was made, I don't feel as if this installment was as frightening let alone scary like the other films were however with that being said particular scenes did stand out some more than others, but this by far has to be my favorite scene through it all.
Off topic but this is how I felt when I took acid for the first time and decided to think about Heaven and Hell when Arnie is just sitting there, completely tripping out and wanting to put water onto his face.
This movie was shit imo but this scene was... Beautiful the song alone makes me wanna rock the fuck out and the tension in the scene I could feel him going crazy
This scene is definitely the best scene in the movie. It made my hairs stand up seeing it in the theater. I wouldn’t say the movie is shit though, I enjoyed it.
Me too, they had a much more interesting story line, and were great characters overall. I also wonder why they kept showing the lady who fell in the lake so many times.
Same. Like the whole case in real life is about these motherfuckers. Like he killed the dude “while possessed” at least that’s what they argued in court at first but the defense dropped that because our courts weren’t buying it and they got him out by reducing the murder to self defense.
Not saying mushrooms would make someone kill someone else cause that would never happen but. Arnie look like he having a hard time as if he took some type of psychedelic and tbh that fits more of what’s going on and how first they’re at a party, he’s clearly out of it sweating as the scene progresses he starts loosing control things become worse, more things become distorted like sound & perception as well. He started burning up and that’s when everything collapsed he starting freaking out the demon was able to manifest through that. Just my theory especially with the whole party & drinking setting not entirely crazy that the demon could’ve influenced & interacted in a sense some type of psychedelic trip. Since psychedelics anyway do open you up to that other realm
