    The Bulls fell behind early and for much of the 3rd qtr before Pippen went off on a 3 point binge and Jordan scored 20 in the period. Jordan ended the game with 34 points and Pippen added 29 shooting 6/10 from 3 point range including the clutch three with about 40 seconds remaining in the 4th qtr.

    This Hawks team was no joke - won 56 games, and with Blaylock, Mutombo, Laettner and Smith 4 of their starting 5 were All-Stars at one point. They gave absolutely everything they had for the first 2 1/2 games in this series but then seemed to realize that they just couldn't beat Chicago and gave in to mental fatigue the rest of the way.

      It's been a curse throughout Pippen's career, from the NBA to the actual fans who "SHADOWED" Pippen to Jordan. All Chicago fans and Pippen fans who went to the games and watched them when televised, all know how valuable he was to the team. Jordan stated this. However, toxic Jordan Fans, (not all Jordan fans, just the toxic ones) Idolize Jordan and do not want to credit the team or Pippen. They see Jordan and Basketball's GOD and believe that he won all those championships on his own. Jordan does not believe this but it's a part of the propaganda of the media and zealot-toxic Jordan fans to propagate that narrative. They're like "Goku" fans... Idolitors.

    • @dazdavis7896
      @dazdavis7896 4 года назад +4

      Definitely... Their 1st 3-peat they had a better starting lineup, Jordan at the peak of his prime, Scotty hitting his prime, Horace grant who was an underrated beast on offense, he was a real good inside scorer; but the second time around, they had a much deeper bench, buncha seasoned vets & 6th man of the year contenders. I think I’d still rather have the 91-92 or 92-93 Bulls over the 95-96 Bulls any day. Jordan dominated 92... MJ at 29 was MJ at his best, he had literally no weaknesses in his game at that point. The 92 team was just as good, probably better than the 96 team. They only lost like 4 more games than the 72-10 team. They were like 2 wins shy of hitting 70 that year as well. And like I said I’d rather have MJ still at the top of his game dunkin’ on ANY-damn-body that challenged him than the seasoned facilitator he became later on. MJ from about 88-93 was just literally unstoppable when he turned it on. Not that he wasn’t still the best player in the game without debate in the 2nd 3-peat, because he definitely was, but I’m just sayin I’d rather have him at his peak with Horace under the bucket and Paxson out on the wing than the later teams.

  • @krwnsy
    @krwnsy 3 года назад +3

    This is why when some people claim that MJ was guarded by smaller guards, you know they never really watched MJ play. Fun fact: no other Bull was double teamed when MJ was on the floor. MJ just knew how to beat the double and occasional triple team.

    “Jordan or Pippen?” This question killed all the teams in 90’s NBA.

  • @vincespell
    @vincespell 5 лет назад

    Chicago had the weapons. Pippen the best Small Forward in the game, Mr. Everything was what they called him. Jordan pound for pound the best player in the game period, Jordan had the defense, the scoring, best rebounding guard with 6 boards a game. Scottie's game advanced under Phil and Mike. Phil Jackson an ABA Championship Coach, a 2 time NBA Champion with the Knicks. Ron Harper once rated one of the top shooting guards in the league during his tenure with Cleveland. Tony Kukoc, Europe's top player prior to coming to the Bulls. Dennis Rodman, 2 times NBA Champion, 2-time Defensive Player of the year, 4 times rebounding Champion prior to coming to the Bulls, Steve Kerr who would go on to win a 3 point shooting title while with the Bulls. These guys were amazing. Scottie Pippen homegrown, traded on draft day from Seattle Supersonics to the Bulls for Olden Polynice. Dennis Rodman traded from the San Antonio Spurs for Chicago's Will Perdue. No one wanted to play with Dennis until they saw what he could do if left alone! Imagine David Robinson(who requested that they trade Rodman from San Antonio) Tim Duncan and Rodman on the boards! Tell me how do you get a rebound with that frontcourt?... Bulls knew what they were doing when they put that team together prior to Michael Jordan's return. Remember Kukoc, Rodman, Kerr, Buchler, Brown, Longely, Harper all came during Jordan's absence and they got to play with Scottie, so, Jordan was coming back to a team that knew how to play with each other thanks to Scottie.

    this is the problem MJ does(matchup wise) to his teams opponents..when you put a guy as tall or taller than MJ, he uses his quickness to score on them, when the opposing team puts smaller players so that MJ won't be able to use his quickness. MJ just shoots over them.. MJ is the only GOAT!!!

    • @boogieloo1831
      @boogieloo1831 6 лет назад +3

      Phil Jones - who do you think is in the court here? And have you seen every team today 1-15? People are so easily influenced by media because they only highlight LBJ and Westbrook. The league today is mostly filled with guys like TJ McConnell or J.J Barea etc. - and they fail to recognize how today's wide open game allows for the use of a lot more athleticism since it's much more transition and a lot less half court - and with nobody in the middle t prevent easy drives.
      Sorry but you kids need to stop trying to create fantasies to rationalize why MJ is the GOAT. It's not just his athleticism but his entire game and skills. And no - nobody today is in his league. If he played in today's wide open game, his numbers would be even better.
