Pippen leads the way scoring 24 points and adds 8 boards, 7 assists and 3 steals to help put the Knicks away in 6 games in the '93 Eastern Conference Finals and keep the Bulls 3peat hopes alive. Спорт
Definitely one of Scottie's finer moments in his career. The roar of the old Chicago Stadium can't compare. Great stuff.
scottie was unbelievable
Facts 💯
"Shot clock at 4 .. here's pippen for three ... YES! Again, Scottie Pippen has HIT the BIG SHOT!!"
People forget how great Scottie Pippen was ..Easily one of the best players of all time
Nobody forgot how great Pippen was except apparently... you! lol
He was great but not one of the best ever lol.
@@creed200569defense says otherwise, he’s been a multiple all star for a reason
@@yoitsSmitty2004 There were several players who were more impactful than he was. Great player, but certainly not among the best ever, at his time, guys like Hakeem,Robinson,Shaq,Ewing,Drexler,Barkley were better than he was.
The game was beautiful back then. Turnovers and every shot and miss was crucial!!!
Scottie P. with the dagger right in newyorks heart
Knicks always getting eliminated by the bulls.
I was at this game back in 1993. Man! The Old Chicago Stadium was rocking!
@MANCHESTER UNITED F.C Just stop talking.....
@M It won't be in the US. Football NFL and college are massive and then comes basketball. American's don't have patience.
Me too. The old stadium was the best place to watch those Bulls.
They shouldve just let her stand but guess they needed to tear it down for parking
I was at a middle school dance when this happened and a bunch of girls were left disappointed while a bunch of us were infatuated with the Bulls
/Pippen performance.
The Old Chicago Bulls stadium and Old Boston Garden dwarfs the arenas of today. The energy was incredible! These were the classic days of the Bulls vs Knicks rivalry. I was a die hard Knicks fan then, so I'm familiar with The G.O.A.T. #23
Amen! The original Chicago Stadium was loud all the time! The UC is too large and too corporate to get vry loud when the Bulls (and Hawks) play.
sounds like the New Yankees Stadium. I've been a life long Yankee fan since 1978 and to say the new Stadium is Corporate and concessions are over priced is an understatement. They tried to kick us out for rooting too loud when they were playing the Red Sox in the new stadium. I was 10 rows from the field and the security guard kept coming back to tell us to stop cursing and no one cuss word was uttered. It was weird! shhhh in your own stadium against your rival. #TrueStory
Definitely. I think the newer stadiums are built with concert acoustics in mind whereas they didn't care with the old stadiums. The sound in the old stadiums would just bounce off the walls and amplify the sound and energy that went through the building. Boston Garden was just the sound but it was also the legendary floor.
Scotties career defining moments are games 3 5 and 6. He won them this series.👏
don't let skip bayless see this!
Agree
game 3 was a blowout that the bulls' collectively won he was excellent but the rest of the bulls were on fire too
game 4 he sucked
thats a win
game 5 no fucking way was he even close to the reason
Jordan dominated that game he scored all the bulls points for over 12 min in the 2nd half & the pass to BJ
game 6 you only see these shots you dont watch the whole game to see whos the real reason
stop reaching
@@SeecretWeapon I'm really from Illinois and watched all of these games live. Pippen undoubtedly led the charge in game 3 and 6. MJ didn't win by himself.
@@SeecretWeapon also don't forget about the 2 blocks on Charles Smith. Stop reaching.
I like what Pippen was saying at the end. Just because Jordan doesn't score 40 points doesn't mean he was "off" his game. No matter how many points you got, you can't win without defense and finding open guys. Jordan ALWAYS did that. Lebron scored a lot of points against the Spurs this year, but still got his ass whipped.
@Tyler Hingleton BS! He's only able to have a good game because Michael Jordan draws the double and triple teams leaving him open. LEARN the game of basketball, instead of hating.
I miss that old Chicago stadium, the acoustics of that building enhanced that great Bulls crowd with that loud roar when the Bulls were rolling like that in a game is unmatched. Best home court ever. Love those early Bulls championship teams, great memories watching these games.
Especially celebrating the trophy in the locker room with champagne. Love the 90s. A great decade for Basketball.
Sad out of that first 3 peat only 1 was in that building.
Could you imagine watching this game in Hi Def 😳⁉️
Awesome to look back and remember just how dominant MJ and the PiP we’re. Best one two punch ever. (The Dobermans)...
Pippin was horrible and wouldn’t be anyone without MJ.
@@kylespeirs6510 Delusional comment.
@@kylespeirs6510 I guess you didn't watch this video here.
The annoyance of how Jordan fans think the bulls competition were great. The bulls were great. The Knicks were good.
There are no crowds anymore like the Old Chicago Stadium, the MSG crowds from 1992 and 1993 and Key Arena for the Sonics in the 1990s..... they made basketball so much better
Just got done watching the Heat/Celtics Game 5, never seen such a boring crowd....
FAN UP MIAMI
CAMERA WORK WAS ALOT BETTER THAN TOO. IF YOU NOTICE THE CAMERA ANGLES CATCHES THE ACTION AND EMOTION GORGEOUSLY. COMBINATION OF CROWD AND FLOW OD THE GAME. NOT TODAY THOUGH SO VANILLA.
"Again Scottie Pippen has hit the BIG SHOT!"
Jordan and those Chicago Bull teams spoiled me so much that the NBA seems so boring since then!
Why I see all the soccer fans on basketball pages smdh well some I should say putting in there too cents basketball fans are content with there sport so y'all kick that LoL
Exactly I stopped watching after 98
💯
I like Kobe and Shaqs run in LA but yea...I feel the same
I’m 40 yrs old so I’m the perfect age person to ask who’s the best, MJ or King James…I’m at the age where I’ve been blessed to watch both careers as they began until end(Lebron still playing👌) and watching games like this really show why MJ truly is/was/always will be the Best!!!!
Look how explosive & dominant MJ and Pippen were together, sprinkle some Grant & others(with all due respect to ALL others) and you see just how EXCELLENT MJ was…🎯💯
"Again Scottie Pippen has hit the BIG shot!" Classic!!!
Monopolioflabiorebollozalozano.edad41añossignosodiacalacuario.
Well said
If pip wasn't hitting the big shot he was getting it done on defense...
@@theodeslewis5261 Absolutely!
Scottie was a beast...Always underrated
❤ you Pippen
The Sidekick played GREAT in this series. And had he not raised his Game like this IMO Bulls don't reach the Finals an 3peat.
They definitely would of been defeated by the Knicks
god damn... phil jackson and scottie pippen sound so damn gracious and smart in their poset game conferences... you really don't see that anymore in the nba... bulls we miss you!
It was almost unfair to have Jordan and Pippen on the same team. Those guys were that damn good.
EdmondLau2007 no one knew how good pippen was going to be. Everyone knew how good Jordan was going to be. I hate when people use that as a excuse
Pippen was drafted and built by Jordan. They didn't recruit a pre-made superstar. Like Lebron did.
@@Wis_Dom FACTS
@Tyler Hingleton don't even try to educate these jordan fanboys, i dont know if he is the goat bjt he is the best i have seen so far but people gotta stop thinking he made and built pippen, with or without mj, pippen would have been pippen he was a diam that juste needed to be polished, he may be the most versatile player ever and i think he is a better defender than mj. he could shoot pass, défend, he had it all
@Anthony Lockhart If you're THAT angry about my year old comment, go punch a wall or something, loser. LMAO!!!!!! You're a hating nobody, your'e not important enough to even argue with, LOL!!!! Lame.
1990s NBA playoffs...nothing can ever top it.
Certainly, epic players of that era.
That crowd, that music oh man
Someone show this footage to Skip Bayless who thinks Pippen meant very little to the Bulls, and it was all Jordan..
dbreiden83080 you're never going to get through to people like Skip Bayless. they're so far up Jordan's ass that there is no pulling them out
JSwanKilowJ I think some people to this day look at Scottie's numbers and because his points don't WOW you, they just think Jordan carried him. What they don't get is Scottie was the perfect player to win titles with Jordan. Scottie was one of the greatest and most versatile defenders of all time. He was a good rebounder, and while not a volume scorer he could do it, in a variety of ways. Scottie did not need the ball all time to score, if he needed that he and Jordan would not have clicked like they did as team-mates. Jordan needed an extremely well rounded, team oriented player to be his side-kick and that was Pippen.. Scottie could drop 25 on any night, but even if he only dropped 10, he could shut down the best offensive player on the other team and grab 10 boards.. Ask Jordan how valuable Scottie was, and he has never wavered on giving Scottie his due..
dbreiden83080 amen. you are EXACTLY right. some people just want to hate Pippen and discredit him so they can mythologize Jordan even more. Skip Bayless is probably the biggest perpetrator of this. his old senile ass is so deluded that he really believes Jordan did everything on his own. he has convinced himself that Scottie Pippen did nothing to contribute to the Bulls' success. and there are so many many others that are so caught up in Jordan's greatness that they fall into that pattern of thinking. they like to bring up how Scottie was inefficient and a poor scorer in the later half of the Bulls' run. but they conveniently forget that he was battling serious injuries from head to toe. his back injuries hindered his lateral movement and jumping ability. he had wrist injuries that effected his shooting, and he had ankle injuries that effected his elevation and explosiveness. when Jordan had injuries like that in the early 90s, he was inefficient as well. but they also conveniently forget that fact too. you just can't win with certain people. they want so desperately to believe Michael Jordan was this benevolent entity, a god among mortals that could decide outcomes with a wave of his hand. you can't get through to them, even with facts.
no pippen no ring also for mj.. they both needed each other.. they reduce both workloads.. and they understand each other..!
+Rd Tanaleon How come no one else can understand this logic?
scottie pippen unbelievable!goodness gracious!
5:07 - Here's Pippen for 3, YES!!!!! Marv is the Michael Jordan of broadcasters!
That's true! I like him and Costas.
Wis Dom Yea man, Costas was phenomenal, too!
Marv Albert is a legend. It will be a sad day when he retires. But the NBA has some good announcers in Kevin Harlan and Mike Breen. I'm also a huge fan of Dick Stockton he's excellent at basketball.
Yea, Dick Stockton was the MAN in the 80's. I think Harlan and Breen will carry the torch after Marv retires.
I like, BOB COSTAS, BOB NEAL 80s and 90s, and today’s era, KEVIN HARLAN, and MIKE BREEN
I love how people get on Kobe for having Shaq help him get most of his rings. Best believe that MJ wouldn't have gotten 6 rings without Scottie!
I like it when Michael Jordan got really angry. And he was also at his best when angry.
The intensity in Pippen's eyes at 3:36
Hall of fame Scottie pippen that year he had a lot of fans in Chicago that night
The Game 5 loss was big blow to the Knicks and it showed in this game they were playing but it was mostly like a team that knew they had blown a big opportunity.
Knicks lost it so bad with Charles Smith blowing it in the final seconds.
@@hectorlopez1069 At the same time their were any Knicks around to help him out.
Part of My Mental Disturbance comes from this Infernal series. The amount of fans that suffered. Its amazing & Marv Albert is the Greatest to ever Live as an Announcer. No one comes close. The importance of each game is Crazy when he works. Like Cancer. Nice Memories Scottie33Pippen !
you can definitely tell michael jordan was tired in this game, he had no legs, and pippen sensed that and elevated his game to help the bulls win this series...this is why I say, it takes a team to win championships....
Amazing skills to get it going.
Scottie... Criminally underated. One of the greatest ever.
The greatest all star for the bulls, he was terrific.
I love watching old school games...they are more exciting to watch than games now without all the crying & flopping just good hard nose balling & defense...the 80's & 90's was the greatest year's in the NBA...
scottie was baaaaaaaaalllin this game
This is when basketball was fun to watch and teams actually played defense. It will never be this good again
I know, it's depressing
I USED TO LOVE THIS GAME.
offense is obviously great.. but I love watching their full court press.. it's majestic .. no defense like that nowadays... Heat come close
The trap at the beginning was amazing.
The mistake that people make about Pippen is they don’t realize he could have done anything on that court he wanted to and no one could do a dam thing about it. He didn’t care about filling up stat sheets with points. He could have easily averaged 26-27 pts a game when Micheal left he just didn’t care as much about it. When the media, players or anyone else talked shit about Pip he made it a point to shut them up. The notion that Jordan made anyone better is rediculous. Jordan is a one man wrecking crew who had the ultimate compliment player and fools just don’t know how dam good Scottie Pippen was.
When NBA WAR was True !
NYC Always !
Pippen for three...YES!
5:07 - Here's Pippen for 3, YES!!! Marv Albert is the greatest ever.
Pippen from DOWNTOWN!
With Jordan less in form, Pippen raise his level, he made an all star game !!
Pippen had a knack of raising his level of play whenever Jordan doesn't quite have it that game.
Little did we know that the 1993 postseason was a precursor of the type of season Pippen would have once Jordan took a momentary leave from the NBA once the 1993-1994 season arrived.
bigpoppa 1967 no he didn't this was the only time he did it
In this game 6, Jordan was really tired, that's why Pippen raise a lot of his level !
Dang. We had it real good around town during these runs. The city really came alive. Was in my young 20s and lived it up. Didn’t take it for granted. The Knicks were really good but the Bulls were just a bit better.
Great upload. Scottie was such a nice player but everybody just wanted to pay attention to Michael. Keet up the good work!
Both were terrific and tremendous as teammates.
@Barstool33Blues scottie definitely sacrificed his game for the better of the team, it's so unique, jordan earned his alpha dog status because he was there from day one, but scottie complimented jordan's game perfectly,
Man the 90s were a nostalgic time in the NBA. 80s and 2000s don’t even COMPARE
Go go go Jordan and pippen,...👊👊👊👊👊👊❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝👍👍👍👍👍👍🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀👏👏👏👏👏👏
Scottie to MJ at 2:50 - amazing.
Sonics couldve met the Bulls in the finals in 1993. Back in the day getting to the finals was not something to take for granted.
I think that would have been seven game serious just like 96 finals should have went 7
LOL Pippen raising the finger claiming the Bulls supremacy over Knicks after that three point shot. That dagger hurt the NY bad. Pat Riley's face at 5:23 as he looks at the Bulls says it all. He knew his team was done.
No team today get past a onslaught of high iQ defense and superior coaching and killer scorers on the floor and the crowd this bulls team were Rock stars
I remember thinking after the Knicks went up 2-0 in this series. Oh, my god thecbulls are actually gonna lose and the Knicks are going to the finals! I was 14 and very naive still.
Scottie with the high top fade
Jordan , pippen lo mejor binomio ,eran dos berdugo nadie contra ellos eran sencillamente insuperable.
Scott, Michael, and Horrace. Lmao holy fucking shit
People think I’m crazy when I say this but having Jordan and Pippen on one team is like having Lebron and Kobe on the same team
That's not crazy at all. Jordan & Pippen have the receipts
al maltby thanks sir
Cutty Cain Pippen is not on the level of any of those players no it's not the same
Steph Curry The G.O.A.T you OBVIOUSLY never seen Pip play
Cutty Cain u gotta be outta ur mind to believe he's on those guys level man. He was good, but dude is however close to any of those guys level
I love it how Michael use to not trust him teammates but as soon as he did they started winning titles. The beauty of sharing the ball
These are the kind of games will will probably never able to watch..........
Great job on audio and the picture - thanks for posting this one.
Scottie Pippen ended the Knicks with that three pointer.
MJ destroy everything ...
MJ destroy Ewing, Knicks and Ewing Dreams for first Champions Ring ...
Scottie has always been the reason they won 6 rings. MJ was just the highlight machine.
Lol dumb comment.....
11 years too late, but Lol what a dumb comment that is. Jordan was head and shoulders above Pippen, which is not a knock on Pip. Jordan was the leader, the guy scoring 33+ppg, the guy drawing double teams and the one taking over the 4th quarters. This 1993 ECF was the best playoff series of Pippen's career, but in no playoff run was Pippen the better player. There is nothing wrong with being the sidekick and that's what Pippen was. Jordan was the main reason they won 6 rings, but that doesn't mean he did it by himself.
Basketball is a team game. Despite MJ's abilities, he didn't win any championships until he was on a well balanced team. Jordan needed someone to help with the scoring load while playing solid perimeter defense. That's Pippen. He also needed a low post defender and rebounder. That's Grant (and later Rodman). If you notice the only year the Bulls didn't win with a Prime Pippen and a Prime Jordan was the 94-95 season when they were without a solid 4 man.
Wow, I haven't seen this game in 16 years. Brings back alot of memories.
A lot
How I remember this. I was on a plane to SFO from ORD. When we got on the plane, I think it was toward the end of the third quarter. I asked the flight attendant to ask the captain to keep us updated on the score. She said many people have already asked that. 😂. The captain came on the PA and said I have bad news for some of you, there was a pause, Knicks fans. And of course, the Bulls won the game. When we were getting off the plane I think the captain for the updates. This was on America West and we were changing plans in Phoenix. The captain said “go Suns” and I told him “not this year.“ 😂😂
This is when the NBA was fun exciting and a such an enjoyment to watch and worth the price of the admission. Sad to say that now a days it's a lost art.
I love the fact that after Jordan's altercation with Doc Rivers he plays within the flow of the offense instead of trying to make it about himself: he comes up with the steal, PASSES it to Pippen and then SETS THE PICK to free up Pippen for his 3. Perfect blend of leadership and selflessness. Lebron doesn't quite have the leadership in the clutch (though hopefully that changes come this June) and Kobe doesn't have the selflessness. That play shows why Jordan is still the best.
Tough to win when the Bulls have 2 of the best players in the damn NBA and solid role players and a HOF coach.
Phil was not a HOF coach in 93. Scottie wasn't the best player in 93. In fact, at that time, PAT RILEY had more championships than Phil Jackson ! And was considered a better coach than Phil Jackson! So, be mad. 🤣
@@Wis_Dom Scottie was a great player in '93 how old are you? Lol was his 7th year in the league, Phil wasn't a HOF coach yet, no, but he had won.mand he obviously had a lot of wisdom in galvanizing his team, and MJ needs to intro plus their role players..so again, tough to win with all that.
@@brokewitwealth7078 How you are going to change the narrative of what you JUST wrote? LMFAO!!!! You kids are funny. Hate to be wrong. You said Scottie was the "GREATEST PLAYER", not a "GREAT" player. So STOP IT. You're obviously to slow for my time. Go listen to some rap and go play. 🤣
When NBA basketball was the game family could sit and watch past bedtime.👍
Pippen had a better consistent series, than Mike. Facts.
No he didn't, lets get carried away here. MJ's shooting percentage was low because of a bad wrist and ankle but he still had a solid series. MJ averaged 32-7-6-2-1 and only 2 TO as well the only down side was 40% shooting because he couldn't shoot as well especially early in the series.
+Young Rain Stop. Scottie was better Vs the knicks in this series. And he was a monster on defense. Jordan had some awful games. Jordan even said it himself that Pippen played better.
jmaal2345 Jordan some awful games and he had some GREAT games to. Overall no doubt MJ had a better series. just look at the numbers.
Michael Jordan 1993 ECF
32ppg-7rpg-6apg-2spg-1bpg 40%
Scootie Pippen 1993 ECF
22ppg-7rpg-4apg-2spg 51%
Yes Pippen had a higher shooting percentage but that is the only thing he did better than MJ in. MJ beat him or tied him in every other statistical category even blocks
+Young Rain Okay, so I don't wanna hear no more about LeBron not playing well cuz of FG%, if that's the case. Pippen played better defense in that series too. He was balling. Give him his credit. Dude just had a better series.
jmaal2345 LOL you are obviously a LeBron fan trying to take away from Jordan considering you defended him even tho I never mentioned LeBron but anyway no Pippen didn't play better defense than Jordan. Not at all, Jordan had to guard Starks who was their best perimeter player. Also Jordan had more steals and more blocks than Pippen this series.
I can really see how people were so excited about every attemp they made!!!
This place went crazy during these games.I don't hear joints in a frenzy like these people were about their Bulls.
Basketball that was interesting to watch, 10 times better than today.
There's no doubt about it that Pippen was the hero of this series. He made all the big shots, played his typical all world defense, and averaged 22ppg on great efficiency this entire series. Besides that 54 point explosion Jordan was horrendous shooting wise. He definitely was setting others up but he was basically taking as many shots as he was averaging points. Scottie was the hero of this series that's for sure.
I was definitely a Bulls fan but I give the Knicks credit they always gave the Bulls a tough series. After the Bulls won Game 5 in New York it was over for the Knicks.
Had the won game five the could beaten Jordan in game seven 1993 series had they kept Xavier McDaniel and Mark Jackson they win couple tittles
At that time the old Chicago Stadium was the LOUDEST stadium in the NBA. BIG home court advantage
Scottie Pippen MVP of this game
Golden era of NBA. I remember watching this game at McDonalds. I couldn’t leave when I saw it was on
Beating New York & sticking it to Marv Albert. ❤ it.
8:01 it wasnt the Sonics that went to the finals in 93 it was the Suns
The eastern conference was so competitive back in the 90’s. The Knicks came up short, but they were definitely no pushovers!
That's because they were a great duo, one is down, than the other guy has it, and so forth. When they both are on they are unbeatable.
This realese on 2009 and now (2020) i'm still waithing!
Ball in the 90's and early00's was the prime time of NBA I can't for the life of me watch the shit thats put in front of the public today, it's too bad. Being a hardcore NHL fan first and foremost I grew up loving Bball as my second sport but to this day it puzzles me how it's gone so downhill.... BRING BACK TO GRIZZLIES TO VANCOUVER!
Yes the regular season is horrible, I'm not sure how it was back then. But they still play really good basketball in the playoffs now a days. Heat vs pacers was great as was heat vs spurs
No way. Basketball's prime was the early to mid 80's through the mid 90's. The game and the player's basketball skill was starting to decline in the late 90's and just got worse through the 2000's. The NBA has been unwatchable for about 10-12 years now.
+chitownref Yall really overrating NBA in 90s, stop it
Dora Tim If you would have actually read what I said you would have noticed I said 80's to MID 90's. I then go on to say how the game and players really decline from the mid to late 90's thru today's unwatchable entertainmentball they play now.
chitownref Players didnt decline from mid to late 90s lolll. Basketball is fine, you guys truly ovverrate 80s and 90s ball. Those times were fun sure but it wasnt best thing ever that cant be touched
Love watching Michael Jordan always
Amazing #23
😲😲😲 30years went so fast
@YouthfulEquity These young kids in todays league dont even have the fundamentals down and want to be respected, such a shame. That is what made Jordan so spectacular to watch, he had the fundamentals mastered, and that is why he is the GOAT.
So nostalgic. What a feeling. Boy oh boy!!!! Before stupid iPhones. Pure enjoyment!!!
The Knicks were a better team in 1993 than 1992. They were better defensively, offensively, and won more games. They had home court advantage in the East Playoffs in 1993, not so in 1992. They made it all the way to the Conference Finals in 93, while only getting to Semifinals in 92. My point is - Xavier McDaniel does not guarantee the Knicks winning over Chicago if NY stays with him as opposed to acquiring Charles Smith. In the final moments of game 5 of the ECF's in 1993, Smith got stopped by great defense on the part of the Bulls and the Knicks got stopped by a better team. Michael left for a couple of years and the door was wide open for the Knicks to win it. They didn't.
Which is the sad part. They blew the 94 Finals as the Spring of 94 as they said it here when the Rangers won, so we hoped the Knicks won Game 7 against the Rockets. Definitely do agree that 92-93 Knicks was the best Knick team of that decade.
I disagree. The Knicks took the Bulls to seven games in 1992 and they had play makers with McDaniels and Wilkins!
Maaaan, this is some pure Disney world magic shit bruh 🚬🚬🚬🚬
