    The author should have named this mod Hjertesten Hamlet, it has everything a hamlet would have and a bit more. The sheer amount of quests envoled in making this mod complete is very impressive. It takes a huge amount of work under the hood in CK to make all of this happen, so if it's the work of one person I'm even more impressed. I love the integration of NPC's that the player can invite to live on the estate, a very rare thing to find in any homested mod. The beauty of the Rift helps the estate shine, placed anywhere else in Skyrim wouldn't have the same effect. Kudos to the author for this mod, it really looks nice. I'll have to give a go on my next play through. Thanks again SkyrimPlus for sharing homes that we may have missed on Nexus.

      Thank you! This one was a lot of fun to cover! It felt rewarding helping the beggars find employment and housing on my property! And it's fun trying to win people over to come work for you. It's also funny asking some people if they want to come stay with you, and some say, "Nah. I don't think so!" :D And that spot is an awesome place to add a settlement, half way between Riften and Ivarstead.

Definitely going to be the official Hjertesten's Hall guide video!! Thanks for all the care and thought you put into my mod, I'm really happy to see this showcase :D keep up your great videos!!

      Thank you for your compliment, but really thank YOU for all the care and thought YOU put in YOUR mod! Some people design playthroughs specifically for Legacy of the Dragonborn, and I feel like this is a similar-type situation, where you acquire followers and get excited about where you want to have them work on your property! And you put so much detail into the mod. It would've been understandable to just copy/paste a kid's room, for example, in the main hall, considering the scope of the mod, just to check a box, but you still took time to add rocking horses and dummies for the kids to interact with, and that's just a small example of one aspect of one of your many mods... I also loved reviewing your Vandfald Cottage as well! For anyone else reading this comment, check that one out, too! It's located in Riverwood, right across the White River, near the waterfall.

    I was about to comment on your pronounciation of Hjertesten, but then I heard the AI-synthesized voice used by the guards say it exactly the same way, so can't exactly fault you for it! Hjertesten is Danish (or almost Norwegian, or Swedish) for "Heart Stone". It's a wonderful not-so-little player home.

    • @SkyrimPlus
      @SkyrimPlus  6 месяцев назад

      To make it less confusing, I pronounced everything to match the AI pronunciations, like Hemme, according to Google is pronounced "Hemmy", instead of like "him", and Asgeld is supposed to be without the "d" sound at the end, too, but I wanted to be consistent with the AI, so it didn't confuse other Americans, like me. 😆

    • @dovahkiinathay3421
      @dovahkiinathay3421 6 месяцев назад +2

      That's my fault actually 😅 I didn't knew how to set the pronunciation on xvasynth but seeing your comment made me go after it and I think I managed to make the right spelling of it :) there are a few npcs with problems to say Hjertesten yet tho, because even replacing Hjertesten for it's phonemes, their accent and voice tone make it hard for the program to make them spell it right. At least now it's just half wrong ahhaha

      @@SkyrimPlus Such a great review SP; I love this one (watching again). I do like the way Kjartan, the guard, gets a lightning bolt up the pants during 'House Acquisition - Option 7' @4:10 . Hilarious! Either me or Kjartan shanking Hemme in the back is a close 2nd for me.
      A couple of other things: Thise 6 adopted children, staring like that, talk about shudders! It's Children of the Corn material. And finally, I would have a role for Camilla that I can't speak about here and it isn't Steward's Assistant. She beats Ysolda into a cocked hat! All the best.

    • @SkyrimPlus
      @SkyrimPlus  Месяц назад

      @anthonymorris1360 Camilla certainly has a confidence about her that's attractive. Maybe she could distract Ysolda by providing her with that mammoth tusk she's always wanting. 😆 This video took me a week working all day every day to make. Luckily, I was able to communicate with Dovahkiinathay throughout the process, so if I had any questions, I'd ask, and she was really helpful in explaining how things worked, so it was my goal to show the different possibilities the storyli e could take, unravel the layers of the mod and explain how to recruit, where they stay, what you can upgrade, etc. I had about 8 different drafts and did this video in pieces and then built transitions to piece it together. I was worried that no one was going to watch it because of the length and me being relatively unknown by most, but this video has become my most viewed video ever and usually wins the highest view count at the end of the month each month even now. I'm thankful for Thay, her help throughout the process, and of course, creating and sharing this wonderful mod for all of us to enjoy! It's a masterpiece!

    I was curious to see if you had done any videos of houses located super close to Whiterun? Whiterun is such a central location for me and smack dab in the middle of Skyrim, so I love houses that are located ridiculously close by.

    • @SkyrimPlus
      @SkyrimPlus  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the compliment and support! All of those things you mention are my goals for each of my videos. I used to watch everyone else's Skyrim mod videos/house tours before starting my channel in late-June of last year, and I wouldn't like it when people would change directions quickly, so I try to make it predictable. And someone in the beginning told me my music was too loud, so now that's something I take into consideration, too. As far as homes near Whiterun, I did a couple that are pretty close, although some of my early subscribers said they didn't want to see homes near there because the area is too saturated with home mods, but I do plan on featuring some in the future. I will have a no-load door home across from the Western Watchtower coming out on Thursday (if I can get it finished up). I have my next 10 or so videos figured out, unless something new comes out between now and then. I like to cover the new stuff the most, since usually no one has covered it yet and I always look for videos of new mods when I'm on Nexus.
      Here are some near-ish to Whiterun that I've covered:
      Apple Shanty (One of my favorites- A farmhouse West of Whiterun, before you hit Silent Moon's Camp):
      ruclips.net/video/3jWQdLsc9iM/видео.html
      Dragon Falls Manor (Located on the White River between Riverwood and Whiterun, this home has lots of soils, a huge deck and dining area that gives a fantastic view of Whiterun. You have your own ebony mine and outdoor smithing. The inside of the home is okay, but the outside of the home makes this one pretty cool.):
      ruclips.net/video/uWc0iXREPU8/видео.html
      Mistral Manor (This one is in the Tundra, within the hold, but a little further out. If you haven't seen this one, you should. The basement is one of the coolest designed special areas I've seen in any home mod... Very Rayek's End-like but unique): ruclips.net/video/C9b6znoDVbA/видео.html
      Snapneck Shack (Tree home between Riverwood and Whiterun with lots of clickies):
      ruclips.net/video/ou_9WKa8g58/видео.html
      Barrel Home Reloaded- Double Barrel (very unique home by the Western Watchtower, no load doors):
      ruclips.net/video/LZNUkwwyA3c/видео.html
      The Ruined Lookout(small place to stay very early in game):
      ruclips.net/video/iec2zQ0f1yE/видео.html
      Rayek's End (Cave home right on the White River):
      ruclips.net/video/mP2zjQXWjCE/видео.html
      The Nook (Small home between Riverwood and Whiterun):
      ruclips.net/video/Bl4mfP0JCLU/видео.html
      Poetry Seed(Right on the White River):
      ruclips.net/video/sw38BiFZFiQ/видео.html
      Closer to Riverwood, which is still pretty close:
      Riverwood Falls Manor and Bleakwood Mines (This is a top 10 home ever for me. The courier delivers a note from the former owner bequeathing you the home, so it gives you a nice backstory to start. It has a huge home and guest house for your family and followers. Your crafting areas are really unique... Large armory in a cave with vendors, the biggest mine I've ever seen in Skyrim, a really cool alternate bedroom and crafting with alchemy, enchanting, staff enchanting, and spider imbuing chamber, as well as a nature area that adds some cool spells, bosses, and a shortcut to Bleakfalls Barrow's interior):
      ruclips.net/video/LnqZVOkqfz4/видео.html
      Vandfald Cottage (I'd put this in my top 20 home mods ever because of how beautiful the outside of the home is, greenhouse included, treehouse included, cool room to store collectibles, and it's the same mod author that made Hjertesten Hall, so you know it's going to be good):
      ruclips.net/video/MSECKmuAxMk/видео.html
      Lonewolf's Manor (very elaborate, space for 100 followers, own mine, cool Ayleid -themed collector's storage room):
      ruclips.net/video/SOkZKbdDc40/видео.html
      Bradain Chorr (One of my favorites; A no load door farm home on a beautiful peace of land right outside of Riverwood): ruclips.net/video/HdRJc_w02gA/видео.html
      Squatter's Shack (A simple very early in game starter home with a backstory): ruclips.net/video/uQIkS5_FGE0/видео.html
      If this reply was too long, sorry! I get carried away sometimes. :D

I remember she had posted in the FB group that she had updated it, but i certainly didn't expect this!Downloaded the new version last night after watching this, and i am loving it. I have half of Shor's Stone working for me now 😂 Only downside I've found is that (on XBox) the navmesh in the garden/pool area is a teeny bit wonky. I try to put out something I'd like to watch! :D
      As far as suggestions, Hjertesten is a great place for many followers (close to 30).
      Lonewolf's Manor has add-on mods that increase it's follower capacity from 12 to 100! That place has all crafting, staff enchanter, a REALLY COOL secret treasure room (which has LOTD support, so if you play with that, it allows you to display the same object in both places), it's own mine, etc.
      Havran Castle provides a ship and a castle for you as well as homes for your followers on an island within its own worldspace. I don't remember exactly how many followers it accommodates, but they would have their own places to live in within a village.
      Riverwood Falls Manor and Bleak Mines is another great home for followers and a family, with all crafting, stones with cool buffs, staff enchanter, lots of soils, a HUGE mine (the biggest I've seen in any mod or vanilla), a really cool nature area with some unique weapons and a back way in to Bleak Falls Barrow, etc.
      If you want a really impressive place with lots of NPC's that you can recruit, check out Mortum Castle (67 custom NPC's live there, and it's beautiful), LC's Build Your Noble House, Sjel Blad Castle (too many features to list, but they have tons of recruitable NPC's, all sorts of creature followers, mounts, an arena, etc.) Traveller's Inn (26 beds for followers and skill trainers live there) or LC's Noble Keep.
      I have videos for all of those besides Traveller's Inn and LC's Noble Keep.
      Others that I don't have videos for but might be good for such a playthrough would be Castle Revelhost, but it does conflict with Helsmyrr Village, if you have that installed.
      Hope this helps!

      You're welcome! I think certain people are seen as acceptable for certain jobs. Like I couldn't hire the town drunk as my alchemist, but I could for tavern keep or warrior.
      I wonder if you could dismiss your steward and try rehiring? Or possibly trying a different NPC as steward? You should have quite a few different dialogue options once that person has moved in and accepted the position. Personally, I used Faendal for mine, and he worked. I noticed a few people in the posts section on the mod page said that they hired one of the blacksmiths from Whiterun, but they wouldn't sell to them, and the advice given was to dismiss them and rehire. It seemed to work, so try that!

    • @SkyrimPlus
      @SkyrimPlus  4 месяца назад +1

      There are only 3 options for priests, all located at the Shrine of Mara. You can only hire guards after you upgrade your fence to the full wall. The person needs to be a qualified alchemist already, like Inguin Blackbriar or Elgrim, etc. And I'm not sure about the warriors. Those should be easy to recruit. Try giving a homeless person a coin, wait for the gift of charity thing to pop up on the screen, and then start talking to them "about Hjertesten" and see if the warrior dialogue option works. Most jobs have conditions, like the person has to be your friend to be invited to work. You could also force this with the setrelationshiprank console command that's demonstrated in the middle of the video. That's what I would try! Hope it works for you!

      First, make sure you have bought the home. Second, make sure the key is in your inventory. Next, make sure to try it on a follower, or someone you've completed a fetch quest for or someone who you've used console commands to change your relationship rank with them. If I were you, I would test it on Faendal. In the dialogue, select about Hjertesten, suggest Faendal cokes to work for you, and the steward option should show up. Name him steward, and then if you want someone else, you can always fire him and hire the new person after you confirm it is working on your end.

    • @SkyrimPlus
      @SkyrimPlus  5 месяцев назад

      Some of the positions have conditions that have to be met. Thay, the mod author, put a lot of thought behind who you could recruit and tried to make it really specific. I recruited Ingun Blackbriar because I knew she had a connection to alchemy, and to gain favor, I just needed to bring her those three ingredients she requested when you talk to her in Elgrim's Elixirs. You could probably recruit Muiri from Markarth at The Hag's Cure after completing her quest. And you could probably recruit any existing alchemist, like Arcadia, as long as you have a favorable relationship with them. If you want to speed that along, I would use the "set relationshiprank" to 3 console command and then start the dialogue where you try to hire them.

    • @SkyrimPlus
      @SkyrimPlus  6 месяцев назад +1

      Glad the video inspired you to restart! :D First, for Ysolda, try firing her and then rehiring her. If that doesn't work, my personal bar keep was the drunkard from Riverwood. He'll work, for sure! As far as the home names, the only thing I noticed like that was the guard's home was also named the warrior's home, I guess just in case you don't do the fortify upgrade. The home closest to the stable is for your warriors. The house next to that (near all of the animals) is the farmer's house. The blacksmith lives in the house closest to the farm, but the smithing stations are even closer. And next to the blacksmith is the guard's house. Those are the four homes, other than the main hall, that are in that main area with the well. Hope this helps!

      @jcool2220 Try these. First, go into the tavern, go downstairs, go to the bedroom on the left, and wait there until 1 a.m. See if she goes to bed in that room. Another idea, if that doesn't work, is hosting a feast. Theoretically, your workers should show up for the feast.
      My last thought would be to reload the save before you hired her and try again. I know she is usually in the Whiterun Marketplace around 9 a.m. each day, so you could try there or her house. It's also possible she is wandering around the property when not on her shift. They like to go idle in different spots around the village. Hope one of those works!
