I know I'm a bit late but the aquarium was just recently added with LotD V6. So you not knowing there was one is just because prior to V6 there literally was none
There is a third start option. In the Alternate Start mod you can choose arrived by boat and go to Solitude. it will ask if you have come to be the museum treasure hunter.
I love you and your work. Shattered Legacy was so neat! I almost have 1000 displays now. Thank you for your hard work, blood sweat and tears! I really hope a game dev offers you a position! You deserve it!
Having v6 come out on my birthday was the best birthday present ever! Thank you so much for all the hard word you've done to make skyrim even more special! Both me and my girlfriend can never play vanilla skyrim every again because we miss the museum and all it's characters too much
The one problem I and other players I've talked with have consistently run into is that entering the Safehouse causes the game crash 90% of the time. You either have to ignore the Safehouse completely or ignore the game once you're inside. To my knowledge, it hasn't been fixed and there is no way to fix it. So what's arguably the most convenient place in the entire mod is virtually useless. I know that you're not the manager for the mod anymore, but maybe you have some thoughts on this.
You know I have always downloaded this but hardly even started the quest and now it looks like I have to restart the game yet again! And I promised this was the last time for this playthrough before the big overhauls like Skywind and all. Thanks for the video!
I started using this maybe a week before the new version came out and I only started using it because I hear great things but also had been having crashing issues so in the span of the past 2 or 3 months I restarted skyrim at least 5 times with days worth of progress in the game each save only to run into crashes each time, lotd has been a godsend and a definite permanent addition to my load order
Last time I played LotD was V4. To think that there is now V6 is insane. But I never really thought about how the mod authors incorporated the AE content into the mod. Basically they are the same artifacts being found twice. Like Armor of the Crusader. LotD has one and AE has there own quest. Infact, I am pretty sure all of the AE artifacts were already covered by LotD if not most. Curious to see how that was handled. None the less, awesome news and video. 👍
There are patches but, honestly, not always satisfactory to me, so I choose to not add those AE CC mods that are mostly about items that LOTD already introduced into the game (there’s a link in either the main page or in the CC patch hub to a spreadsheet telling you exactly how many NEW relics each CC mod adds). Not downplaying those CC mods, just avoiding the mess of fixing and making consistent things that weren’t broken to begin with.
There are also some interesting third party patches that explore synergies between LOTD, CC mods and others, like the link between The Cause, LOTD’s Pale Pass and BS Bruma. AE content definitely expands on what LOTD has for you - but bear in mind that, as warned, if you install v6 then any third party patches you add will updating.
Most of the time the artifacts just use the new model and might go into the new museum location. There's only one that's kinda weird. One of the armor sets now has a CC quest and has been renamed as a forgery by Legacy. It doesn't bother me, but that's the only odd thing I can recall.
Great video. You couldn't have hoped to cover everything Legacy has to offer, it's just too big. I would have pointed out that if you don't do the alternate start intro, you miss out on a quest that cannot be obtained later. Plus I think you can do the radiant fetch quests later, so it isn't one way or the other, it's that first mission being optional and skippable/missable. I do like how you mentioned the treasure room. Legacy does make the game super easy by practically removing encumbrance (there is a perk that lets you move stuff to/from safehouse storage at will), but this is optional. Matter of fact, Constellation, ships, and moving stuff between inventory and ship, from Starfield, kind of seem like they're from Legacy, come to think about it! Though I'm not saying BGS got their ideas from this mod. Just that we had those concepts in a Skyrim mod before Starfield brought those concepts to Xbox (where they didn't previously exist). Finally... Legacy should be part of the final/Anniversary Edition of the game, and available on Xbox/PlayStation.
If you have the LAL Guildmaster addon installed, you can always get the relic housed in the ruin included with that start, even if you don't pick it. So while you won't have the quest, you can still get the display. Additionally, you no longer *have* to do the 3 fetch quests at the beginning, you can pick up a few items (excluding notably Natural Science, Library, and Armory items) on your way there, and tell the curator that it's his lucky day.
One of my favourite mods by far! The only issue I had was that every time a new version oc the mod got released a new save file was required to play it, and it wasn't recommended to install it on a already started save file either, so installing it on top of a completed Skyrim file was adviced against.
That's standard for Skyrim just FYI, not something we are simply choosing to do. Skyrim saves many properties and persistent data to your game the instant you load it up and for big generational updates like this on is, there's so much changed and new that the game won't adapt on the fly, so you have to update, and it's never a good idea to add a large mod mid playthrough because of these system limitations.
I love.. this mod. I've since played with v4 and even remember the early stages of the mod when it was first released. I've logged easily 600 hours using this mod alone, and I couldn't be happier.

And then I say to my self: restart on every death. unlimited carry weight and justtry to loot all items for the museum without dying. ive never completed a run completely but since there is so much to collect you can rechange the order. and with character generators (which also creates handicaps and chooses a class for you to follow) every game feels more like a roguelike than an RPG which makes it fun for me. I can put it down forget what I was doing, go to the museum weeks later and just choose a display to work towards.
I am starting a new playthrough after 6 months not playing skyrim Legacy of the Dragonborn and Bruma are the base and this L.O. will be the base for the next beyond skyrim mod .
the funniest review for this mod was thelaughingsimon's "review" where he rp'ed as a visitor to the museum and realized the curator wanted him to go bust his ass getting all the exhibits so he left and never came back 😂
It's a great mod, but unfortunately suffers from having too many options and too much compatibility. You always feel like you're missing out if you don't have all the compatible mods added honestly. I feel like this mod would benefit from either removing the extra content and being a base-game museum for everything or adding literally all the compatible mods into one download. LOTD is the only mod I would ever bother playing as I don't like playing with mods, but there's just too many issues with it.
This should have been a DLC originally created by Bethesda, alas every time we get something new from Bethesda they always fall short for one reason or another.. I hope they're keeping a watchful eye on legacy of the dragonborn because this is one of the most amazing mods I have ever witnessed, and then whenever Odyssey of the dragonborn comes out that's going to be another addition and with beyond Skyrim this is going to expand it throughout the entire world of Nirn... Anywhere Man,Mer,Argonian or Khajiit may explore, Odyssey of the dragonborn will be there compatible... I can't wait I just can't wait until the beyond Skyrim is completely finished... That will take us everywhere! This mod along with East empire companies expansion, we'll make playing Skyrim a whole new experience.
I spent a long time looking for a current modlist that either added LOTD v6, or at least used the latest AE version of Skyrim because v6 needs a resource pack that comes with AE. Sadly, I found only one modlist that was AE and wasready for LOTD, but didn't include LOTD! lol Either way I modified that modlist by adding LOTD and am now exploring the world. That modlist? Gate to Sovngarde, a Nexus Collection, which leaves enough room to add some more mods like LOTD so long as you patch it to work properly with patches available also on the Nexus. Most modlists are stuck in v1.5 of Skyrim, and backporting can only go so far.
I've been playing V5 for the last 3 weeks with all the new AE content....I'm STILL not done with the museum, after beating all dlc, guild quests, most of the add on guilds, the main story and civil war.
@liamlinson7563 I'm running it now myself, however make sure your LotD patches are also up to date. For example the Modpocalypse NPCs patch with cause CTDs (there is a fixed version in the comments section of that mod in case you use it). Best advice I can give is to update LotD to V6, then run xEdit and highlight all your mods, right click and select "Check for errors". See if there are any "Could not resolve" errors in patches for LotD, and those patches in question will require an update (or quick fix in the case of the Modpocalypse patch)

Love the idea for this mod however i am like two versions back and i have like maybe 70% completed my dragonborn museum after almost 120 hours. The idea of starting all the way back, from scratch with no items collected, having to do all the same quests again just to have a few extra things is just not worth it. Really wish there was a way to merge my current progress
Same here except I'm scared of trying to remod my game and it just not working because of all of Bethesda bs with new versions that offer me nothing. Only way I'd risk starting from scratch is if I got a new PC but I'm hella broke
@@susanzenonian5085 I know there's a patch but in the regular Skyrim version MtE is integrated into LotD, unless I'm mistaken. I didn't download it separately in case it were to be added into a later version of LotD, and I'm a bit too lazy to reshuffle things

Unfortunately my Dragonborn is too brooding and is the greatest killer and necromancer in all of Skyrim. He is not open to the idea of showcasing his treasures for just abt anyone to see. Would be nice if we have a home only option without the showcase/museum stuff.
There’s a secret area underneath the Museum where you can house your sketchier stuff. Assassination trophies, Ancient Vampire parts, various unique skulls you happen to find, etc. It’s not open to the public, it’s exclusively for you.
@@CaptainEffort like to think that the secant tour you have to ask for. invite your guild members or brotherhood member over they need to get out more anyways
I never understood why they never created a plug-in-and-play version of this mod. You have to do everything yourself. As someone who barely even understands what loot is this is very bad for me. I can't even use SSEDIT to save my life. And don't get me started on people saying that you need to use MO2 over Vortex when I try to get the mod author to help me to install the files only for other people to answer my questions for the author. All in all I'll probably never get the chance to experience this epic mod for myself cause I'm a fucking idiot that doesn't know his own asshole from a hole in the ground when it comes to modding.
I don't know this mod in particular but installing mods with MO2 is pretty straight forward. It should just ask if you have Creation Club items or other mods. Then automatically sort plugins. The best tip when it comes to modding is to just take a break if you get frustrated. Trust me bro, I'm not the smartest guy around so you can pull it off too. (Edit): Follow the directions as best you can. Everybody can make a mistake, so don't worry about it if you do.
It might be best to start watching RUclips tutorial if you can't learn everything by yourself. I would recommend Gamerpoets channel, that guy is a godsend.
Is thus available for xbox or just PC? Because I don't remember seeing this mod and if it is available on Xbox I may very well download this and start a new game.
After this new version release, has anyone run into the issue with fast travel not working anymore for the Dev Aveza ??? It just says can’t fast travel to any location, did all the bug fixes and everything it says to do, but fast travel still not working for Dev Aveza. Hoping someone else has run into this issue and has a possible fix.
The current standard of Skyrim versions for mods is SSE. They even halted development on the upcoming Odyssey mod, and started up again for SSE compatibility as a standard.
@@CodeguruXIt really depends on what you mean by SSE. If you’re referring to anything other than the latest version of the game, you’d be wrong, many mod authors simply refuse to support older versions of the game now. The community has moved on. But if you’re talking about the latest version, just without the paid AE content, that’s a different story. Both are equally supported ultimately.
Fine. I will play skyrim again. I just need to stop myself from upuseing alchemy and enchanting. Not even the restoration loop, just these two in general, i tent to spend like 10h grinding the two, buying the house in falkreath and go to bleakfalls in full max enchanted deadric armor at like level 150 with most magic skills maxed.
The issue with this mod has nothing to do with the mod, but by the time you start getting anywhere in this mod your character is so powerful the game is no longer fun.
Most of the artifacts aren't that far out of scale with the rest, but because of the saturation of items, it's easy to end up with something powerful fairly early on. Some folks use 3rd party rebalancing patches for Legacy that scales some of the more powerful items down, and other people also just make sure to display most of what they find rather than use it, just to avoid the power creep that can sometimes happen with such a wide selection of stuff.
Safe to install midplay? I got to the part AFTER the Thalmor Party. I collected my stuff back at the Sleeping Giant Inn, so I am at that part. I have never owned any previous version of this before.
@@swiizzles 🙏 Thank you for that. For my next game I will use. Does Nolvus use separate mod profile? Meaning that I can still go back to my old characters pre-Nolvus to play them? I could not find anything on this on the website.
@@Lettuce_Play I'll be honest, I've never actually used Nolvus myself so I wouldn't know, sorry. I would say your best bet is to post your question on Reddit as someone on there is bound to have the answer you're looking for :)
One thing that I don't understand is when it says: "You can NOT update from v5. A new game is required." on the nexus page. I get it that I must create a new save file, but does that means that my other characters won't be able to use the mod? Edit: Since it's mandatory to create a new save, I'll start a new character with focus on magic and archery :3
It’s because it changes too much, to where simply loading up a character that was using the old version, with the new version installed, would either lead to an immediate crash or instability. Minor updates won’t be a problem, but big updates like going from V4 to V5, or V5 to V6, are more dramatic. Basically anything that gets removed causes issues, as your save file still expects them to be there. So if, for example, the layout of the museum is changed, and certain hallways either don’t exist or were moved, your save file still expects them to be there. And if it goes to call on them, and they’re not there (because you have the new version), the game will crash. That’s why depending on how dramatic the update is, your save either simply won’t load without crashing, or lead to more crashes across the board as your save file calls on references that no longer exist. General modding tip - it’s usually fine to add things mid-playthrough, but never remove things. Tl;dr Yes, it means your other characters can’t use the mod. Only new characters can use it.
Yeah to expand on this, Skyrim in general does not have an adaptable save system. As soon as you create a new character, certain scripts and elements get saved permanently to your save file and cannot be updated unless another script is specifically coded to updated that element. With a generational version (which we call the BIG number versions V4, V5, V6 etc), they add, change and remove too much to justify being able to update it all with scripting, and persistent objects just simply can't be moved once saved to your game. So it's a universal rule of modding, not just for Legacy.
I love somethings about it, hated other things (not a fan of much of the Guild quests as they can be very frustrating to do), but I'm willing to give V6 a chance.
You don’t have to do the quests if you don’t want to, there’s always an option in dialogue to simply skip the various quest lines. In fact, the only quest line that couldn’t be skipped just got a skip option added in V6.
How exactly do I download this on Manual? Is there a video showing how this is done? I'm VERY uncomfortable on manual downloading this, as a new modder.
@@kreidasDon’t use Vortex, stick with MO2. That’s what 99% of the community uses. Just download the file, then in MO2 click the button in the top left to manually open a file. It’ll open a file browser window. Just find the mod in your downloads and double click. Then it’ll install like any other mod. Lmk if you have any questions or need any help!
Legacy is a more intermediate mod to install and manage in order to get the most out of it, but if you follow the install instructions line by line in the full guide, it's fairly straight forward. Most important aspect is just to make sure you have all your other mods installed and active before installing Legacy's patch file which will look at your load order and install all the patches you need. Then do the same for the creation club patch hub installer for Legacy.
The change log for V6 is literally 3 pages long but yes, the airship travel system he showed goes ANYWHERE now rather than pre-defined ports, there's tons of new NPC's and scenes and dialogue, a few new items, several new management features, a new museum event quest, lots of overhauled and improved features. Check it out for sure.
@@icecreamassassin3006 well with the help of save cleaner I've gone thru them all and it's still the one save game that dates back to LE, so it is possible
@@adrak91 Possible but ill advised since it requires constant defribulation of your save game to keep it alive and save game cleaning breaks unpredictable things in your whole game when you clean properties. Most people don't want to constantly kick the donkey to make it work so to speak.
That was a known issue on the initial release of V6 which has been fixed. Just download the latest version and you're good to go. Always a few hiccups and rapid updates right after a huge release like this.

Really hoping that my modpack I always have downloaded from wabbajack uses the updated LOTD soon
I just wish that this and skyrim extended cut is compatible when it releases...
I spent a long time looking for a current modlist that either added LOTD v6, or at least used the latest AE version of Skyrim because v6 needs a resource pack that comes with AE. Sadly, I found only one modlist that was AE and wasready for LOTD, but didn't include LOTD! lol
Either way I modified that modlist by adding LOTD and am now exploring the world. That modlist? Gate to Sovngarde, a Nexus Collection, which leaves enough room to add some more mods like LOTD so long as you patch it to work properly with patches available also on the Nexus. Most modlists are stuck in v1.5 of Skyrim, and backporting can only go so far.
I've been looking for info on how I can add it. Are there a lot of patches needed?
Tuxborn is a great list & has LOTD v6
I've been playing V5 for the last 3 weeks with all the new AE content....I'm STILL not done with the museum, after beating all dlc, guild quests, most of the add on guilds, the main story and civil war.
god fucking damn it, guess ill have to update my modlist to be compatible with the newest ae version
It works on 1.5.97 if you use BEES
@@PetrusEksteen you better be right about this
@liamlinson7563 I'm running it now myself, however make sure your LotD patches are also up to date.
@@PetrusEksteen sounds good, i dont think any of my mods should conflict with it aside from some city and town overhauls and possibly cathredal npcs. possibly even expressive face gen morphs. curious btw, do you also use comap?
@liamlinson7563 Yeah I think so, from memory it has a backport available or something like that
I’ve even had a the dark moon of elsweyr and jurgholm mod which as a reminder has built in quests even in console at least the jurgholm one has quests on console elsweyr has a boat similar to that so I say it is possible with the right amount of coding I’m sure anything is possible

No, sorry if I misspoke. You hand the leaflets to other NPCs who can then show up at the museum in the future :)

Problem is.... I'm playing with a previous version. But updating this mod requires a new game started. So I guess I am stuck with a previous version!! 😞

just a shame many wabbajack or nexus immersive modlist do not include this :( they have the old v5 most of the times.
I remember playing this on LE, Yeah The True Original DLC Mod. Just glad to know it and many other mods are up there. Shame the engine is being pushed far beyond its limits...not that I ain't impressed by how much we can do with it
I just downloaded the mod which made me start skyrim a 13th or so time xd
Can i install it while i also installed mods such as Beyond Reach, Falskaar, Wyrmstooth, summerset isle?
Love the idea for this mod however i am like two versions back and i have like maybe 70% completed my dragonborn museum after almost 120 hours. The idea of starting all the way back, from scratch with no items collected, having to do all the same quests again just to have a few extra things is just not worth it. Really wish there was a way to merge my current progress
Same here except I'm scared of trying to remod my game and it just not working because of all of Bethesda bs with new versions that offer me nothing. Only way I'd risk starting from scratch is if I got a new PC but I'm hella broke

Well... fuck.
Did they finally fix the tree floating in front of the entrance and/or integrate Moonpath to Elsweyr into the SE version?
Yes? And yes, there is a Moonpath to Elsweyr patch as of at least V5 from their official LotD Patch Hub.
@@susanzenonian5085 I know there's a patch but in the regular Skyrim version MtE is integrated into LotD, unless I'm mistaken. I didn't download it separately in case it were to be added into a later version of LotD, and I'm a bit too lazy to reshuffle things
@@kaworunagisa4009 Floating tree would be from some other mod that you likely need a patch for from either our patch installer or the 3rd party mod's page. MP was stripped from Legacy SE because someone was going to be taking over updating MP again but they decided to flake out and join the BS Elsweyr team instead and we just left it as patch supported instead.
@@icecreamassassin3006 Got it, thanks
Unfortunately my Dragonborn is too brooding and is the greatest killer and necromancer in all of Skyrim. He is not open to the idea of showcasing his treasures for just abt anyone to see. Would be nice if we have a home only option without the showcase/museum stuff.
You might like the mod Undeath with a questline and player home/base where you become a Lich aka peak Necromancer kinda vibe.
the4re is a undercroft for more darker artifacts he wont take tours down there
There’s a secret area underneath the Museum where you can house your sketchier stuff.
@@Kirbyroth For real they all live underground, and I’ve never once seen any of them leave
V5 is available now, and my Xbox porter is working to update v6 currently, so hopefully, in a couple of months.
Hopefully they do something like this woth the next elder scrolls game
that's my plan ;)
After this new version release, has anyone run into the issue with fast travel not working anymore for the Dev Aveza ??? It just says can’t fast travel to any location, did all the bug fixes and everything it says to do, but fast travel still not working for Dev Aveza. Hoping someone else has run into this issue and has a possible fix.
I wish something like this existed on PlayStation.
Nothing like this will ever come to PS unless the Terms of service are changed
@therealikitclaw8124 Which is the unfortunate truth
which enb do you use?
Is there a list of all the mods that you can download to help you fill the museum for v6?
Is it compatible with Anniversary Edition now, which is the current standard of Skyrim versions?
I was running the latest version throughout this video so I would say so, yes.
The current standard of Skyrim versions for mods is SSE. They even halted development on the upcoming Odyssey mod, and started up again for SSE compatibility as a standard.
It's been compatible with AE for a while now, not just V6.
V6 works on all versions 1.6.1130+ or any version back ported with BEES (extended ESL support) installed
I removed this mod some time back as I kept crashing every time I would try to enter the armory. Wonder if it'll still do that... (on console)
@@icecreamassassin3006 I need to do a no crafting run, that's why I keep getting too powerful.
Bad news is that it doesn't work with backported Skyrim :( It asks for "_ResourcePack_esl", which is present only in later versions of the game
They tell you how to download the resource pack from steam on the first mod post under *spoiler*
@@deloughi1887 Oh my, thanks! I didn't noticed that
Yeah and you can back port to an earlier version after updating as long as you install BEES for extended ESL support.
Safe to install midplay? I got to the part AFTER the Thalmor Party. I collected my stuff back at the Sleeping Giant Inn, so I am at that part. I have never owned any previous version of this before.
Unfortunately it does require a new game if you're planning on downloading it, even if you've never downloaded the older versions
@@swiizzles 🙏ah okay. Thank you so much for your help so far ☺️.
@@Lettuce_Play You do know that Nolvus uses V5 and not V6?
Wow, that looks phenomenal! Compatible on XBox?
It is available on Xbox, yes.
I really really want to play this mod but it's so annoying that it's only on PC and Xbox and not PlayStation
I love somethings about it, hated other things (not a fan of much of the Guild quests as they can be very frustrating to do), but I'm willing to give V6 a chance.
That's fair enough, hopefully you have fun with it :)
You don’t have to do the quests if you don’t want to, there’s always an option in dialogue to simply skip the various quest lines. In fact, the only quest line that couldn’t be skipped just got a skip option added in V6.
Are there any newly released fishing mods?
For the newest my mcm menu is scripted a bit wrong :( wondered why yours is so good
I wish they have a version that only covers base, dlcs and maybe cc artifacts, other items included in the mods feels bloated to me
I'm almost certain if you just download the base version with the cc patch, you'll have the experience you're looking for :)
It’s criminal that PlayStation doesn’t have this
It's criminal that Playstation has no good mods because they don't allow any custom files of any kind
How exactly do I download this on Manual? Is there a video showing how this is done? I'm VERY uncomfortable on manual downloading this, as a new modder.
I think you can drag and drop it into Vortex if you use that.
@@TheCyancheese I currently use MO2. Are MO2 and Vortex compatiable with each other, or are they 2 very differrent programs?
@@kreidasDon’t use Vortex, stick with MO2. That’s what 99% of the community uses.
Just download the file, then in MO2 click the button in the top left to manually open a file. It’ll open a file browser window. Just find the mod in your downloads and double click. Then it’ll install like any other mod.
Lmk if you have any questions or need any help!
Can't seem to figure out how to install this mod. I have a few others via nexus mods and mod manager but this one, I can't figure out...
@@icecreamassassin3006 I managed to get it going 😁 thank you for replying.
It's insane, but I also find it all a bit gimmicky personally.
What visual mods you running?
I've been asked this a couple times now so I'll try to get a video out soonish going over my current modlist :)
Skyrim is a classic like Breaking Bad.
So are there any content updates or not? Everything you mentioned is already in LOTD.
For some reason when I add this to my FUS modpack it crashes my game.
