I bought the lift hard hat strictly for its shell basically because the lift suspension gave me a headache. It put 2 pressure points to the back of my head and no matter how I adjusted it, it was just absolutely killing me. So after a week I put a MSA suspension on it. Best decision of my life
MSA hard hat shells should be used no longer than 5 years, while suspensions should be replaced after 12 months. Both are the maximum time frame for replacement, calculated from date of first use. The date of manufacture is stamped or molded onto the hard hat shell, usually on the underside of the brim.
Bought the lift to try it and its not for those of us with large craniums or any kind of longer hair. Mine went back immediately. They are great looking hats tho
Do you happen to know what sizes the lift will fit? I have 3 msa skulgard with Large liners(medium cap) and they are getting to the point i can only wear them in hot weather due to space. A thin beanie is about all i cwn fit under it. Is the lift any bigger?
@@BigTyronie I don’t think they are. I’ve grown my hair out and it is having trouble stay on my head now. But so is my welding hood so I’m thinking it’s my hair. But I’ve found it’s still good with a skull cap on
Zach, what hardhat do you wear currently? I’ve been trying to find one to fit my large cranium but none seem to sit “deep” enough on my head. About to check out the msa skullguard. Only thing is my company requires them to be lime/saftey yellow
@@jeremybridges8756 I have a 7 7/8” head and I don’t have a problem with the lift. Like I say in the video you can adjust the head gear to sit lower. The only issue I had was when my hair was long it would fall off. But I wear a welding cap now and have zero issues
@@bryansworkbench8585 haha hell yeah bro get some 💪🏾 that's awesome. Yeah I watched your video gonna buy one of them hardhats for sure. What union you in brother ?
Thank you for your reply last question is it bigger as in taller or wider I have a smaller head so I want the smaller of the two height wise but I like the lift better. Thanks so much
It’s a class G hard hat according to osha. There for you’re protected for up to 2,200 volts. So yeah, it meets all osha requirements, there for it’s as good as or even better than an MSA skull guard.

That’s great feedback I actually didn’t know the suspension systems needed to be replaced.
Thanks for sharing I just bought one and went to look for videos about it …👍🏼
It’s not a shock absorber on the brim, it’s a grip for your hands
😂😂😂😂😂

I had to adjust the head gear to the second level. They come set on the first level.

Do you have any idea to have skullgards to sit lower?

Are the lift hard hats made in the US?
Ill have to double check the box but I believe it is or in Canada
I think they are made in China. Perhaps a north American company. But nor manufactured as so
I seen you have a turner dexter yard. Sticker I was there poured all the concrete there lol hell yeah bro
Hahaha ya I’m actually back there now welding up some stainless shafts

Ya the lifts are really nice buy extra sweat bands for it
Owned 2 lift hard hats ..and the suspension went bad on both ...
Your actually supposed to replace it every year. I recently found that out.
@@bryansworkbench8585 mine actually went bad within a year 😐
12 months is usually the max time
I hate a new hard hat but damn that thing is nice!
Which one is bigger?
The lift

Is the brim grip removable?
They are glued on so yes but they won’t go back on unless you glue them
Just don’t like the grip so it would have to go
You can do that for sure
lift is made of carbon fiber it will never be a better rating hat since carbon fiber will conduct electricity
