When to change hard hat. Most hardhats have a production date and an end of life date usually on the front brim. Some do not have the end of life date. Also some hardhats are reversible.

So how many grams of HDPE or poly pellets required to produce one hard hat?

Thanks for the question Joshua. I actually do not know. Was tempted to look it up, but that was never anything I though about before. What is the answer?

Great video! I got a question, can I wear a hat of my favorite nfl team? I’m planning on buying a redskins hat which is burgundy and has a logo on both sides

absolutely. just make sure it meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.-2014 standards for hard hats. And depending on what you are using it for, get class G (general- tested at 2200 volts) or class E (tested to withstand 20,000 volts). The only thing that might throw a wrench into your plans would be your conmpany's policy on hard hats. I've seen some where they only allow for certain colors to be worn by employees.(Supervisors & general laborers are different on bigger jobsites for easy ID). Thanks for the question.

That will depend on who you're working for. We don't allow any other colors because our helmet colors show what position you work on. Workers have blue, supervisors white, trainees red and so on.

      HaasGrotesk what about electricians?

@@goodvibes6970 It depends if you're employed by the company or if you're a contractor doing a certain type of work. If you're employed you'd be wearing a blue one. If you're a contractor you're considered as a "visitor" so that would be a red one. BUT as an electrician, you can claim that you need a specific hat with some specific rating that you as an electrician needs to be able to do work so if that's the hat you got and it's approved you can wear that one.

These OSHA dorks are the bane of my existence. Been in construction longer than this dude has been alive and I can tell you, MOST of this PPE B.S. is absolutely NOT NECESSARY! I've even found it to be dangerous in some situations.
