I just purchased a NDS A1 Upper Receiver from Brownells...they cost $149, but you need the parts for the rear sight. I already have all the parts....All I have to do is strip the upper of the anodizing. Then I'll ship both receivers (lowe/upper) to have them Dry Film lubed on the outside. Which give the receivers that medium gray color. Once that's done, just need to assemble. I had to purchase all the parts here and there, when they became available. Super excited, I'll have a 100%, A-1 clone.

I love my MSAR E-4, I got lucky with a one that actually work. I changed the bolt so I can shoot steel case or brass. The original bolt has issues shooting steel case. The model displayed with the forward bolt assist is a earlier model than mine. Mine doesn't have it, the earlier models have issues, ranging from the 1.5x optic loosing zero from shooting because of the cheap China glass in the optic to the magazines which are proprietary having feeding issues. My E-4 accepts proprietary and STANAG magazines. Since last year I suppressed it, I won't be shooting it a lot suppressed because parts are scarce. I had zero issues though. They aren't considered a collective item just yet, but that is slowly changing. If you have the early rare commemorative edition that comes with a pelican case, OD green MSAR rifle(these have zero issues) with straps and a microtech knife that were a limited addition you can fetch between $2500 to $3000 depending if everything is in tact. Tim from Military Arms Channel has this limited edition version. Ratworx has a limited amount of parts and G-u-n-b-r-o-k-e-r as well(commie RUclips might have a issue if I didn't hyphenate that word). It's pretty much hit or miss with this rifle.

The Ruger Bearcat emulates more the Remington revolvers of the late 1800's by having the one-piece rather than the three-piece frame.

I wouldn't want to use a Webely shaved down .45 apc, it feels sacrilegious, as well as dangerous. I would buy one, but go on a hunt soon after for an original .455 cylinder.

I’d love to jump into 762x39 but geez Tula 762x39 ammo is about the same price as brass PMC 556 xtac. Maybe I should’ve jumped in the x39 lake when it was $4.50/box.
I just can’t see paying for Tula x39 that’s only a couple dollars a box cheaper than 556 77gr OTM. Or about the same price as PMC 55gr xtac.
I highly covet that first M85NP from y’all. That’s about as far as I’ll dip my toes into the AK platform until AAC makes affordable 762x39.

Chris, greetings from the UK and welcome back.
Thanks for a great lecture on the histories behind all those firearms.
I think Ruger did a great job reviving the single action revolver post-WW2.
I used to be a able to borrow and shoot the dual cartridge Blackhawk in .357 and 9x19 mm.
For a time, I used a Colt New Frontier .22LR for target shooting, i suspect Colt made those as a result of the success of Ruger's single action revolvers.
I also suspect that the Super Blackhawk should be given much of the credit for the success of .44 Magnum as a sporting cartridge, but I'll be interested to hear other views on that.
It's always great to see any Webley on your channel.
Modifying them to fire .45 ACP and Auto Rim is a pragmatic choice. The original British .455 rounds are less powerful cartridges though, hence I think the safest option is to use nice gentle handloads.
I read somewhere that conversions often involved shaving the cylinder and reaming out the chambers to about 0.454", because .455 rounds originally had hollow based lead bullets (not unlike .38 Special HBWC ones) designed to expand and fill the bore, after firing through chambers that tapered down to about .451".
Also, I think the first British cartridge service revolver was the .450 Adams, as adopted by the Royal Navy. Officers were expected to provide their own sidearms, i.e. a sword and a handgun, so the famous Wilkinson Sword company also sold a lot of Webley revolvers under the "Webley Wilkinson" brand.
The WW2 .38/200 Webley Mark IV revolvers were preceeded by three previous marks of break open .38 revolver. Of those, the Mark III was available during WW1 and was carried then by at least one British Army officer, according to our Imperial War Museum.
