    Contacted Bear Creek and they determined they had likely received a bad batch of firing on springs. This should indicate that most other BC9s going out shouldn’t have the same issue as mine.

      @@clckhere878 actually I didn’t really expect it to get much attention at all. It’s really just to help the few people looking to buy them get a better understanding of what they are getting themselves into.

      You would think a completed firearm would be checked at some point before leaving the manufacturer. QC/safety issue. Inexpensive is good, faulty is bad.

    What are the two braces you used for this pistol? I see the Ak style one but what’s the other one I like it.

      Nice man! be careful with that slam fire and double fire effect at mine had. You will also need to retorque and apply lock tight to all screws. if yours does slam fire or double fire like mine, just buy a CMMG AR9 firing pin spring. You may actually want to order it ahead of time.

    This could been a good product I'd rather them charge another $100 or so to get better on QC this is crazy.

    • @ninjainflannel
      @ninjainflannel  4 месяца назад +1

      Yeah the QC is rough. The 1/2 x 36 threads were really annoying and it not having last should bolt hold open. I will say once I get everything tightened up and replaced that spring it shot pretty nice

    You can make a lot of AR15s slam fire by dropping the bolt on a chambered round. Probably easier for it to happen on a blowback 9mm, but just not a good idea to do it in general.
    I think they should have gone a good but heavier on the bolt. Recoil would be better.

    • @ninjainflannel
      @ninjainflannel  3 месяца назад

      True however this was double firing during normal operation as well

      @@ninjainflannel Probably related to the light bolt and stuff spring not resetting the hammer properly sometimes. Impossible to say for sure without inspection.

    • @ninjainflannel
      @ninjainflannel  3 месяца назад

      That was actually my initial thought as well. It actually ended up being the firing pin spring. It was too week so just the bolt slamming home would let it fire

    • @itsamk18-ish
      @itsamk18-ish 2 месяца назад

      I’ve never seen an AR slam fire, I’ve seen a tiny mark on the primer where the firing pin hits but I’ve never seen one actually fire from dropping the bolt on a live round.
      Also why would a heavier bolt make recoil better? That’s more mass moving back and fourth I’d think it would make for worse recoil.

    • @Hornet135
      @Hornet135 2 месяца назад

      @@itsamk18-ish Pistol ammo primers are softer than rifle ones. A heavier bolt would lower the bolt velocity so it’s not slamming hard into the rear of the receiver.
