I had the same problem. Apparently antibacterial soap can be really harsh on our hands. Many chemicals we touch can go into our bloodstream and cause these negative or painful reactions over time. Thank you for sharing what you use. I’ve been using olive oil on my hands and it has helped.
I am sorry you too are struggling with this awful condition. I really appreciate your kind and helpful comment and insights into antibacterial soap. I am so pleased to hear that olive oil has helped, may it continue to heal your hands. Best wishes to you with gratitude.
Oh dear Lord Jarf, you must have been in terrible pain, I am so sorry for that... I am truly glad though that you have found a solution and shared it with us... my niece also suffers badly from Eczema and I will be passing on your video to her... thank you again for sharing... Blessings Sas.
Hi dear Sas. Thank you so much for your kind and caring comments and sweet sympathy. You are right, the pain was excruciating...I would not want to wish it on anyone...that is why I had to share what worked for me and hope that it can help others too and ease their suffering, because the relief is so liberating. My heart goes out to your dear niece who suffers badly too. I hope what I have shared can be of some help. Thank you for our beautiful support Sas, means a lot. Take care and blessings in return. Xx
So good to hear from you today. So glad to see that your Eczema appears to be somewhat under control. It's the little things such as these that make for great days for those of us that have skin issues and such. I am so rough with my hands, i.e., working in the garden, pruning roses, pulling weeds....without gloves...lol. Even doing chores around the house I tend to forget to wear gloves but thank goodness for soothing cleansers and hand creams. I am with you as I have Lupus and extreme fatigue, some joint pain, skin flare ups and immune system being compromised I tend to be a home body regardless of covid...lol. It is what it is. On a side note: I had a friend once who made calendula salve that she used for all skin rashes, cuts and such. It really does work! Be well Jarf and so glad things are better for you!
Hi Danielle. Thank you so much for your darling comment and for sharing your own health challenges. I feel for you. But what is so inspiring, is how you courageously go on with life and throwing yourself when energy allows to enjoy your garden. Thank you so much for sharing in my own joy of finding a solution to my situation and for your beautiful support. Huge hugs and warmest wishes. Xx
Hi Jan, thank you so much for your beautiful comments and caring support. It means a great deal. Hope life is treating you well. Warmest wishes and heart hugs of appreciation. Xx
Hello my beautiful friend, firstly I want to say that I am sorry I didn't see your video sooner but even though I have the bell on I haven't been getting notified. That said I want to tell you how grateful I am for the lovely mention and kind words. Unfortunately my hands are too sore to craft with these days but I try not to let it get me down as I love it so much. I am so terribly sorry that you suffer so badly with eczema, it looks so incredibly painful and sore. I am glad to see that you have found something that works to keep you crafting because you can't stop LOL. You are so incredibly talented and you produce such beautiful kits for us to use. Thank you again for your kindness and beautiful words, stay well and we will be in touch. big warm hugs xx
Hi gorgeous Sabrina. Thank you so much for your darling comments and sweet sympathy. Please hun, no need for apologies, the same thing happened to me...as I mentioned in my Etsy message to you...I would not have known you had kindly posted your beautiful and amazing DT projects for me until I came to get your RUclips browser address to link in my description box for this video...that I noticed. For some weird reason it didn't show up on my list of the few I have subscribed too...I hope to leave comments for you as soon as I can, to thank you for the gorgeous stunning crafting projects of Whimsical Wonderland journal. I cannot thank you enough for your kindness, support and heartwarming encouragement, it cheers me on. Take care sweet lady. Huge hugs and warmest of wishes. Xx
So glad you found a treatment that worked for you. Last year I was having some auto immune issues, many tests and then was told I had eczema, but my hands did not look like your before. I think because of the covid, I used too many cleaning products and then I became sick. I can't use any products that use petroleum. I do believe those hand sanitizers were partly responsible.
Thank you so much Judi for your caring comments and sharing your own health challenges, my heart goes out to you. I agree with you, those hand sanitizers can be brutal on ones hands. I hope that you find some relief and help with your own health battles and eczema. I wish you the very best, dear Judi. Sending warmest well wishes.
Hi Sharon, wow, thank you so much for the huge honor of visiting my channel and for your beautiful gift of caring support. I deeply appreciate your kindness, with warmest wishes. Xx
Jarf! You have such beautiful hands, I’m so very happy for you. Thank you for all you do and thank you for sharing your incredible journey with us. 💕🥰💕
Thank you so much Annette, for your heartwarming kindness and joy of sharing in the treatment's success. Deeply appreciate your beautiful support. Hope all is going well for you. Huge hugs and warmest wishes. Xx
Awww thank you so much for your lovely comments and for your kind support of my kits...please be assured there are lots of kits waiting in the wings and more are on there way....Best wishes always.
Thank you so much Dana for your heartwarming comments of caring concern and generous support. Your kindness means so much. Take care with warmest wishes.
Your hands look beautiful now. So happy you have found something that helps. My daughter suffers from it also and her hands would break out with stress. Quitting all peanut butter and nuts in general helped her. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤
Your poor darling daughter, my heart goes out to her and to you, as anything that affects our children, is a great distress to all loving parents. Thank you so much for your warm well wishes and kind words in celebrating my improvement with a condition that I thought I would never ever conquer. Though it can flair up at any time...I now have a protocol to at least keep it under control or manage it better. Hope your daughter continues to see improvement. Thanks again. Huge hugs to you and your darling daughter. Xx
I had horrible hand eczema for many, many years. My dermatologist just suggested hand cream like Eucerin. For some reason a random switch from the soft soap brand pump hand soap to the Dial brand pump hand soap instead, made the most difference for me! I also do use hand lotion several times a day. For eczema on other parts of my skin after showering, I had a different doctor suggest using a hair dryer on my skin. It has worked wonders as well. Still, I sometimes have issues. Thank you for your suggestions!
Hi Amy, my dear fellow eczema sufferer, thank you so much for sharing what has helped you, I really appreciate it. I am so happy you have managed to get it under control, despite the occasional flare ups. I admire your fortitude and thank you for your kind words. About a year after that video, I had another serious flareup. My hands were swollen, red, crack and severely dry. So I made a new protocol. Each night before bed, I would put on the lotion mention in this video and I would then cover my hands with paw paw lip balm. It was quite thick and sticky but I would then put soaks over my hands to keep them from spreading over bed clothes etc. I also made my own cream that included emu oil and castor oil that i used during the day. After about a week, my hands were looking almost brand new by the 2nd week my hands were cured of eczema. I stopped the paw paw lip balm ritual and will only use it if I can sense a flare-up coming on, but I since haven't. I make sure I dry my hands well after washing. Always use plastic gloves around water and cleaning products and i never stop using my lotion and my homemade cream, thankfully my eczema has never returned. I hope it stays that way. Hope it stays away from you too. Huge hugs and best of health to you.
Lovely to hear from you Jarf, glad you found something that worked for your hands. I know how important it is having started out my working life in the hairdressing industry. 😘
Thank you so much Penelope for both your caring comments and for sharing your own history of health challenges, my heart goes out to you. You are wise remaining housebound during the ongoing pandemic. Yes, I can imagine that the chemicals used at hair salons would be harsh on ones hands. Thank you for your kind support. Sending warm well wishes your way. xx
So happy for you, i too use the Calendula Cream for my Dermatitis on top of my hands which has helped a lot. Tfs and take care....by the way your hands look beautiful 😍
Hi, I would like to know if this cream has any petroleum products in it? I am allergic to petroleum products. Thank you so much, I have not seen this cream before.
Calendula is something you can grow quite easily. Pick flower tops, dry just a day or two. Put in jar, cover with avocado oil. Stir and ensure plant material is submerged totally. Let sit 6-8 weeks in a dry, dark place. Strain and bottle. I make it every year and it's not only the cheapest but best you can do. I suffered with really bad eczema and other things. It cures it all. I slather it on all over, all year. You can make a balm by adding Tallow. Since we're red meat animals our bodies love the tallow, and it pulls the medicine further into the skin. If you can't make it, etsy is a great place to find it made simply, cheaply and effectively. Just an idea! Plantain is amazing too. Changed my life for the better!
I wish it affected my hands, I get it on my eyes and it's a nightmare . The only thing doctors will do is prescribe a steroid cream which I refuse to put on my eyes. The skin itches, peels, burns and looks like someone took a match to my skin. I use a product called Gladskin. It helps but is not a cure and doesn't harm the eyes. Vicki
Oh Vicki, I am so desperately sorry to hear of your distressing condition on your dear eyes. My heart goes out to you. That would be the worst and a nightmare. You don't deserve this and I pray that something can be found to heal this horrid skin disorder successfully. Sending huge hugs of sympathy and hope.
