I worked there (in GA) for 9 years. 1990-1999. I'm one of the 3 original members of the USPSA/IPSC "Team Glock" shooting team. After 27 years, I've logged over 700,000 rounds through Glocks. My original competition gun (G21 .45) has over 100,000 rounds through it and is still one of my best shooting Glocks ever!. GLOCK FOR LIFE!!!

Your channel is awesome, man! I just fired my buddy's Glock 17 today, and I liked it, but I'm still looking to get myself a CZ75 BD. I like the idea of less recoil. Also I heard that 75's are slightly more reliable, when it comes to stovepipe limp-wristing failures, such as they don't happen often.
A lot of polymer framed pistols are so light that they're often susceptible to limp-wristing stove pipe failures. The heavier, all metal guns typically don't have these issues. It's something about how the gun flips back upon firing, it catches the ejected casing. It might not happen to a lot of shooters, but for more inexperienced shooters it's probably more likely. It's one of the main reasons I wouldn't suggest a Glock to a 90 pound girl. It may work well for a lot of guys, but Glocks seem to have that issue.
/// //// The Cz p07 duty is very manageable in the recoil department and is VERY reliable! I have a later gen 1 (with the "B" prefix in the serial number) and it's absolutely 100%. It's also a polymer framed pistol about the same size as the Glock 19 and there have been many comparisons between the two and they're about neck and neck as far as reliability is concerned. The earlier Gen4 Glock 19's had a recall on them because they decided to put a recoil spring designed for the 40 s&w in their 9mm's and this made it where you couldn't run lighter loads reliably in them. Glock of course straightened out of the issues out. I've never shot a glock but I've shot many other handguns and the Cz p07 duty is my favorite. I hear the Glock 19's have a snappier recoil than the p07 duty. I'm probably going to go try one out soon. I love my Cz p07 duty but I'm sure Glock makes a fantastic product as well. I picked out my Cz over the Glock 19 because it was a Gen 3 Glock and I just didn't care for it. I kind of like the Gen 4's though. You can't go wrong with either one in my opinion.

I agree totally. As a retired US Army ranger we were trained to know the only safety you need is the one between your ears. Always had my weapon hot and ready
I purchased my first Glock in 1993, a model 17 that was imported from Austria, with 5 pre clinton mags. For 10 yr or so it lived on a sailboat. after unknown amount of rounds, it still goes bang EVERYTIME and I can hit what I aim at. Of the 5 I own, it by far has the smoothest triger pull. Whan more do I need?....................well maybe the 10mm?
Good video. Sharp and to the point. I do not own a Glock 17 but I see why so many people do. I own a G20, G26, and the G23 and they all work great for the reasons I purchased them.
There would not be any other Glocks ever even heard of if it wasn’t for Glock 17 all the other ones are just shorter or longer versions in different calibers
My first Glock was a G26 and I loved it. Later on I bought a Gen3 G19 and it became my favorite handgun. In the 70's, 80's and 90's I was an avid S&W fan. I held an FFL back then and all my revolvers and semi-auto's were S&W's. When Glock was introduced I remember saying I'd NEVER own one. Now it's the ONLY 9mm in my inventory. As a longtime gun owner I absolutely LOVE my Glock pistols. Today Glock has some excellent competition out there, which is good for all of us :>)
Of course there is competition. Why not derive your own product from something that works so well? The Glock 17 itself has influences from a lot of other inventors and manufacturers. It is however a mark of quality that Glock still is as strong as it is 40 years later.
Just found you guys. The first video of you we watched(today), was about church security. I noticed that it was published on August 22, 2017, which was way before the recent shooting at the church in Texas. A few years ago I think that the Lord prompted me to protect the small town church that my family and I had been going to. The Pastor and Elders were on board. The reason I am writing is that I am recently an unemployed electrician and could use some prayer for some work. Thank you and GOD bless you and yours.
Informative. Succinct. Entertaining. Thank you for being one of the few RUclips’ers who prepares and doesn’t need to drag their videos on forever. Appreciate you!!
I’ve always wanted a glock 17 because of the magazine capacity, however I was side tracked by the smith and Wesson m&p, but after watching this video I very interested in the glock 17
Great video, I could also use some prays for a friend of mine that just had a stroke. He is still in the hospital and we are waiting to hear from the family. Thank you and god bless.
Although not a Glock cult follower, the 17 is my sidearm of choice when hunting or woods gun. It is also my truck gun. Basic meat and potatoes which has never failed. Rain, snow, sleet and mixed....it truly withstands the elements and is often neglected from cleaning. Great weapon. Thanks for your channel and your principles!

My local gun shop (Indy Arms) has rental pistols. You can try a model before you buy in their range. I was buying my first handgun and the guy behind the counter pulled a Glock 17 Gen One and said that it had over 25,000 rounds through it. The only thing that was replaced was the barrel and extractor (I think) but 90% of the parts in it were original. That was enough for me. My Gen One has over 5000 rounds since I bought it new and I have not replaced anything except the springs in the magazines. They were really getting weak. The magazines have almost no finish left on them, as do most of the parts. I don't shoot it much anymore but it's under my mattress with one in the pipe. I now carry the Glock 43. Just more convenient and smaller that's all.
I personally think that the Glock 19 is the very essence of the word perfect. If society as we know it came crashing down on us right now and I could ONLY bring 1 pistol it would without a doubt be the 19. Its the only pistol I own that I could 100% trust my life with. just my opinion based on my experience with it so far.
Team Green Illinois I never bought a pistol or shotgun I didn't trust. all major brands s&w SIG Springfield beretta glock even Taurus are very dependable. its all preference.
I remember these things coming out in the 80s and seeing Jerry Revish on CH4 news in Columbus, OH firing one at The Powder Room range in Powell. Didn't think much of the Tupperware gun until I bought a G17 and now I own 3 of 'em. Love 'em all. Thanks for the History lesson.
great video. still have my 17 from years ago and still love it. But i love my 22 & 23 because i can change to a 9mm or 357 sig or just leave as a 40. cant do that with my 17 or 19.
Back just before the first Gulf War, several of us bought 9mm pistols of our choices. The Sig P226, Berretta 92, S&W 5906, and Browning Hi-Power were the choices made (one bought a Walther PPK in .380). None of us bought a Glock, which is interesting in retrospect. I also remember no one bought a HK M7,. that weird single stack squeeze clock thing... wow look what that is worth now. Anyway, Glock was the new underdog that eventually proved itself over time.
I wish Glock or someone would make a light plastic clip on shield to fit over the back of the upper slide to keep dust out of it. I noticed the other day that dust was accumulating in the lower receiver in the trigger mechanism. This dust collects under normal carry conditions. The cover could just fall off if you need to shoot the gun.
oilhammer04 Don't worry about the accumulation of dust, i carry mine damn near 24/7. A can of compressed air or a quick blow ( remember doing same to game cartridges ) always works. Trigger mechanism is wayyy more reliable than you think. Dust won't affect it in any way. Happy shooting...
oilhammer04 You're welcome... aside from several of the old Ruger P-Series semiautos i still own, glocks are the only other semiautos i care to own. Never had a failure... ever!
Good video. I recently bought a Glock 17. First polymer framed pistol I've ever owned. I believe it's also the only striker fired one, too. The 10 facts presented are welcome insight. You can never know too much about a firearm you may have to depend on. Thanks
I like the fact, that you can own many Glock models, and use the same holster. I own the 17, 23, and 26, and can carry any of them, in the same holster.
My favorite sidearm I own. Always a pleasure to shoot. Thx for an informative and nice video!I'm still always amazed at some of the angry, disrespectful comments of some viewers. I truly appreciate the kind approach and humble attitude you take while making your videos for our enjoyment. Thank you again and may God bless you and your efforts!
Nice vid. Glock has Awesome customer service. I took one of my 17s to the plant in Georgia they replaced 10 parts and swapped out my 10 round mags for 18 round mags for free.
I am going to fact check you on this. Glock didn't "blow them all out of the water". It's a common misconception that if a department or military chooses a gun that "it was the only one to survive testing" and that's false. though many of the guns put in did fail at some point of the testing. there were still 6 pistols that survived the "testing". The reason Glock got the contract is the same reason Glock gets many of them, they offer them at lower cost to their competitors. And since their explosion of popularity in the US civilian market he offers them at even lower cost just to keep them in our "public eye". Great marketing strategy, but leaves uneducated people to believe it's the only gun that "makes the cut".
Raging Realist agreed plus unlike many mentioned, from my experience the sig 220, beretta 92, and could name a ton of others that won't jam up when limp wristed..not an issue for me, but i wouldn't recommend it to an older relative with arthritis.
Aw man. Just accept the fact that Glock blew those other so-called top firearms out of the water. Glock are great guns, and the reason 60% of LEA's carry them. End of story. Live with it my friend.

Just go to gunbroker.com I paid $716 after shipping to my FFL. Factory new Made in Austria
Love my Glock 17! Never out of my sight!
Thats a great way to be
Steve Farling cheers 🍻
I agree totally. As a retired US Army ranger we were trained to know the only safety you need is the one between your ears. Always had my weapon hot and ready
I purchased my first Glock in 1993, a model 17 that was imported from Austria, with 5 pre clinton mags. For 10 yr or so it lived on a sailboat. after unknown amount of rounds, it still goes bang EVERYTIME and I can hit what I aim at. Of the 5 I own, it by far has the smoothest triger pull. Whan more do I need?....................well maybe the 10mm?
I purchased a smaller Glock 26.
Super CC. My favorite Glock. Real.
There are a lot of great gun channels but this one has quickly becoming my favorite. This one and Paul Harrel. Thanks for the great videos!
my G17 is always loaded and by my bed. love it.
My first handgun. Bought from my brother. Absolutely love it.
What amazes me is how this guy never says, "uh" or "um".
DatBoi 713 one of the things that remind me about the glock 17 it’s shane fav gun from the walking dead

@@_Lilly_Rose_ That was once in the whole video, and it was "ehrm"
DatBoi 713 fr🤣🤣
@@_Lilly_Rose_ Yes fr😆
I have a Gen 1 I got in 1987 still functioning flawless 😊
Great video,as always. God Bless
Excellent 17 lesson
MPGunther1 💯❗️
end of would as we know it give me Ak-47.
Robert Harden Glens Why does your channel have no content? You fake piece of shit.
Great video, I learned a lot and have a deeper appreciation for what keeps me and my loved ones safe from two and four legged predators.
The 2 legged ones are the worse
Informative. Succinct. Entertaining. Thank you for being one of the few RUclips’ers who prepares and doesn’t need to drag their videos on forever. Appreciate you!!
Great video! Although I own handguns from Sig, CZ, FN, Smith and Wesson, Springfield, Colt, and HK, my Glock 19 is the one in my bedside safe.
Super interesting and well edited video!
Really good video. Thanks for the fun facts! Love my Glocks!
I’ve always wanted a glock 17 because of the magazine capacity, however I was side tracked by the smith and Wesson m&p, but after watching this video I very interested in the glock 17
That was some interesting information! Thanks for the video!
Great video, I could also use some prays for a friend of mine that just had a stroke. He is still in the hospital and we are waiting to hear from the family. Thank you and god bless.
Very prayerful for your friend and their family. God bless you
I have a third-gen Glock 22, and I love it.
And btw....I was always told that Gaston Glock was a curtain rod manufacturer.
Vladpryde Glock 22 gen 4 here!
Great video. I just bought a Glock 17 Gen 4 in Sniper grey and I love it. I haven't shot it yet because I live in Canada and we have to wait for snail mail to bring us our registration papers. Great facts about Glocks.
How long did it take to get your license
@@justingrant4860 to get my RPAL took about 8 months from when I did the course and sent in the paperwork. It took about 3 weeks to get the paperwork for the Glock after I bought it. Shoot it lots now and love it, one of my favorite pistols along side my CZ 75 SP-01 Shawdo and Ruger SR1911.
@@tracey1013 thanks for replying..... are you in Ontario by chance ? I wanted to get mine as well but was lead to believe legally owning hand guns in this country is such a hassle not to even bother
Thank you for quickly getting to the essential facts and features. Very informative style. Keep creating and sharing. Respectful Regards.
I own a 17 Gen 4....great gun!

I have a Glock 17 and I love it. Reliable and so easy to disassemble, clean, lube and reassemble.
Where can I send y'all a prayer request?
Sorry for the slow response, Christmas got me behind. You can email it to godfamilynguns@gmail.com. God bless
Excellent video, God and Glock it's all good
Glock 17M has a couple quality of life improvements that make the 17 just really nice to use.
Great info, I like the episode & the the ministry is awesome !!
Thanks and God bless
Love your videos Sir, interesting facts, just got my 1st 17 gen 3 .
great video
Thanks
The US military will never use Glock as the sidearm because it doesn’t have manual thumb safety. If it did it would probably have a good chance.
Liked the video.... Love my Glock 17! Don't leave home without it!
Had my G22 gen 2 for twenty years now. My G26 gen 3 since 2016 and my newest one, the G32 gen 3 357 SIG since October. Love them all.
Loved this video thanks. Couldn't agree more with your slogan either. Thanks for sharing
Thoroughly enjoyed this! Learning something today!
The Glock 19 is probably the best carry gun, ever!.
NCLUSA I would say its a preference thing.
Kahr CT9!
Ditto! Love my Kahrs.
Glock 17 was my first and is my favorite. I believe everyone should know how to shoot. Whether you own one is up to you.
Nice informative video and thank you for sharing!
love 26.

Glock 20 :)
earned a sub. + like! Thanks for sharing.
The Us Navy seals now carry the Glock 19.
Keith Gregory that hasn't been confirmed yet
Yes they are they went with the gen 3.
Keith Gregory I heard they are carrying hi point cap guns.
Seals can use what ever they want. One man could carry Glock and the other carry a Hi point.
lol yes !
Great review . Informational.
Glad it was helpful
great video. still have my 17 from years ago and still love it. But i love my 22 & 23 because i can change to a 9mm or 357 sig or just leave as a 40. cant do that with my 17 or 19.
Glock 17 is a classic.
The cover could just fall off if you need to shoot the gun.
oilhammer04 you could just use some scotch tape...
I did something like that. Thanks for the reply, Scooter.
oilhammer04 Don't worry about the accumulation of dust, i carry mine damn near 24/7.
A can of compressed air or a quick blow ( remember doing same to game cartridges )
always works.
Trigger mechanism is wayyy more reliable than you think.
Dust won't affect it in any way.
Happy shooting...
Thanks for the reassurance, ZX-14R Rider.
oilhammer04 You're welcome... aside from several of the old Ruger P-Series semiautos i still own, glocks are the only other semiautos i care to own. Never had a failure... ever!
Good video. I recently bought a Glock 17. First polymer framed pistol I've ever owned. I believe it's also the only striker fired one, too. The 10 facts presented are welcome insight. You can never know too much about a firearm you may have to depend on. Thanks
Great video, great info......and now I know 10 things I didn't know about the Glock 17.
I carry glock 22 gen 4. Great gun, love it!!
Great one
I like the fact, that you can own many Glock models, and use the same holster. I own the 17, 23, and 26, and can carry any of them, in the same holster.
God, family, guns in that order!
Amen
thank you for the information. very informative.
Glock has Great customer service , 1 blew up in my hand back in 92 or 93 a month later they sent me a brand new 1!
A brand new hand?
Very well done video. You have earned a sub on this day sir.
just learned some stuff ....thanks a lot
My favorite sidearm I own. Always a pleasure to shoot. Thx for an informative and nice video!I'm still always amazed at some of the angry, disrespectful comments of some viewers. I truly appreciate the kind approach and humble attitude you take while making your videos for our enjoyment. Thank you again and may God bless you and your efforts!
I believe in God and in the ability to protect my family from bad people and if u dont like it as Texans say : Come and take it !!!
Ok I'm coming
Just bought my 1st Glock 17 & can’t wait to hit the range
Nice vid. Glock has Awesome customer service. I took one of my 17s to the plant in Georgia they replaced 10 parts and swapped out my 10 round mags for 18 round mags for free.
# 11. Mr. Glock's love of Lego Blocks was a big inspiration in the design of his pistols.
Over 60% of LE use "Glock", not Glock 17. Also as of now the Glock 19 is the number one selling Glock.
YoungSinatra25 17 is still most popular internationally
YoungSinatra25 my wife carries the G19 and I carry the G17... Sometimes a 1/2" is the difference between between being a man or a girl. 😂
G17, my first glock. Also have g22, g40, g43. Great guns.
its not 65% of law enforcement that use the G17 its 65% that uses glock handgun guns. not
Sam Taylor you beat me to it. I'd even argue that the G22 has a higher percentage of departments than the G17 in the US.
Corey Lambrecht right. but still not fully integrated as of yet.
this gun is black not? - Borat
Good video. I Learned a lot of stuff .
like others have said, certain guns just shoot better than others..........and that is to a shooter.........so, in my case, the 17 is my choice.
Very well done 👏
i prefer the Glock 19. combat Tuper ware at its very best!
daniel boyd cooper 17 all day
daniel boyd cooper you may as well just say “I prefer exactly what you’re talking about, minus a half inch in height and length”.
"Combat Tupperware", that just made me spew coffee through my nose. I'm so stealing that description. Thx Bro.
Roman Cota when you “steal that” it’ll only be the 1 millionth time somebody has said it so it should land well
daniel boyd cooper sometimes that half inch is the difference between being a man and girl. LOL 😉
Raging Realist agreed plus unlike many mentioned, from my experience the sig 220, beretta 92, and could name a ton of others that won't jam up when limp wristed..not an issue for me, but i wouldn't recommend it to an older relative with arthritis.
as 4 glocks, give me 26,can put mags in for 10,15,17 ,&33 rds.in one gun for barrel bs.
IMO Glocks are overated and expensive for what you get our of the box.
Aw man. Just accept the fact that Glock blew those other so-called top firearms out of the water. Glock are great guns, and the reason 60% of LEA's carry them. End of story. Live with it my friend.
Juan Gonzalez compared to what other firearm in the same class?
Awesome channel.
