    i get this is a good way to pinpoint the pain but wouldn’t this also further damage a stress fracture if you indeed have one?

      Stress fractures occur because of long-term, repeated movement/impact. Instantaneous stress probably wouldn't hurt it much.

      If you have a stress fracture you’re definitely doing way more than one single jump? You’ll be fine

    When you say pain, do you mean any level of pain, whether mild or severe? Or should it be a pain of, say, 8 on a scale of 10?

    Where should you feel the pain to confirm a positive test? Does it have to be the front of the lower leg or could it be the side/back too?

      I think just by doing plyometrics should do the trick instead of jumping as high as we can. Ive been doing hops for a period of time and I can tell I only have the pain on my right side leg. Been watching my running form lately, my right leg is differ in terms of foot placement than my left

      Just seeing the title of the video made me cringe and put a knot in my stomach. Going down 3-4 steps with a cane and the railing causes more pain. Even an X-ray and an MRI isn’t confirming a stress fracture but with how it feels I have no doubts. At least my orthopedist ruled out a shin splint.

    I hv a tibia stress fracture on both my legs. On is very low n the other is a bit higher, whenever I jump rope it starts hurting very bad to the point I can’t walk but after like 15 mins it calms down. Screw my boxing coach👿

    • @mhxxd4
      @mhxxd4 2 года назад

      Jumping rope is very hard on your bones because it very repetitive and you're barely cushioning your landing like you would do with other things(jumping, running). Gotta work your way up slowly to it on the jump rope. Start with only 1 minute and follow the 10 percent rule adding only 10% each week. After a year you'll be able to jump as long as you want

Last week I was triple jumping for track and when I landed my leg snapped in half. Had to get surgery, nails, and rods in my leg. Just tryna spread the word of NOT PLAYING through stress fractures

      More than likely Muscular strain of the tibia muscles and tissue connected to the bone straining when extending the muscles to hop. If it were a stress fracture pain would ensue upon landing from the sudden shock to the bone.

      I'm a distance runner, I had one in my femur shaft off a Marathon I was severely under trained for, RCH for the most part felt like a weird pain deep inside my leg while doing high impact stuff like running, took forever to heal fully, tried ramping back into running 2 months after and it came back because my ramp was too steep. So I had to rest more and start with run walks and ease into mileage.

    lol what. Both shin spints and stress fracture would have pain before you even hop, so how would hopping and displaying pain prove which one it is??? That being said, hopping with shin splints could cause the stress fracture, and if you do have a stress fracture, hopping on a stress fracture could cause it to break more. This is the dumbest thing I’ve seen, and I’m quite angry that I actually almost did it.
