Thanks for another Bertie video, he’s such a smart young dog. I too am guilty of spoiling retriever puppies because of their irresistible sweet faces and then had to undo my bad behavior😂 Your tips are great and have helped me reform my mistakes!

Love your videos. Hopefully some time the opportunity arises for you to do a video on adult mouthing and how to stop it. It's the #1 problem I have with my recently adopted shelter dog and I'm at a loss on how to deal with it, it seems ingrained in his psyche.

Thank you so much for what you talk about there around 2:95. I always remember Ian Dunbar saying it's one of the most unfair things we do with dogs!

Hi Will! Awesome video. You mentioned watching sort of a part one about the jumping process at the end of this video but it looks like the link you have is about Cane Corsos. Can you direct me to the video you're referring to? Thx!!

Hi, thanks for the video! I have a bit of a specific case with my dog. She only jumps on people who are walking their dogs. So she first goes to great the dog and then the owners and everytime she jumps on them..This happens when where are in parks and places where she is off leash, there is not enough time to correct her and people who she jumps on in most cases encourage it by giving her praise. Do you have any advice?

Good video. What is the best method to keep my dog from whining while we’re in stores? If I take her with me, she very behaved, but she whines like crazy when I stop to look at something.

Can you please do a video on demand barking? My dog barks for attention because he gets jealous when I’m speaking to people instead of him. I’ve tried ignoring him, but he just keeps barking and it’s impossible to keep a conversation going.

i would assume you need to find a verbal or physical way to let him know you want them to stop (like a strong "shhh" "psh" or a leash tug) and then immediately reward when they do stop. keep doing that until they understand that silence = reward

Thanks for a great video! If ignoring jumping doesn’t work, then Im guessing that ignoring demand barking from our puppy also will not work. Any tips to adress this? 😊 Barking for attention, barking when waiting for food, barking to meet other dogs etc. 12 week golden retriever / border collie 😀

Yes, need to wait at least 1001, 1002, 1003 of quiet before rewarding the quiet. Never treats for speaking on command. The reward is the bark itself. When making dinner, if "quiet" doesn't work, you can stop making the food, sit down, etc until the barking stops. You can also transfer the value for the dog to be on their bed while you're preparing their supper. Check out Joel Beckman videos for reactive dog training on leashes He's awesome and does it all without a slip collar, a prong collar, or a shock collar. His Rottweiler video explains his technique then he also has a puppy video and a little dog video, depending on what you have. Basically you don't even leave the front door unless the dog is on your page. Hope this helps.
