- For Angela Fabian, life begins at 50. Growing up in America, she migrated to Australia 15 years ago after falling in love with an Australian and the country. Stepping off the plane she immediately felt that she was home. She met her husband when she was singing in a jazz club in China, but prior to that she got her grounding singing in church and with her family. After high school, she joined an all-girl group and toured all over America and spent some time singing for US troops overseas. Recently she went back to school to study music (and learned to play the piano) but struggled being an older student. She's auditioning for The Voice to show her kids that you can do anything you want, despite fear and your age. What do you think of Angela’s Blind Audition? Let us know in the comments below 👇

I love every coach from Australia but I really, really, loved what George had to say here!!! He knows a winner when he hear's and see's one!!! She has a beautiful old soul!!! I could feel what he was connecting with when she sang !!! You cannot out sing a hymn when it's sang with an angelic voice!!! That was perfection!!! She'll be fun to watch!!! If this is a re-run, so be it, it's still beautiful and unique!!!
Agreed!! Just like the National Anthem, people sing it left and right and there are some good versions, but when that one singer can leve it the way it should be but yet recreates it like only a few can..it just pulls at your heart. OMG...can you imagine how beautiful it would sound if she was to sing it??? My world would be perfect...Amazing Grace and the National Anthem...✔
Absolutely spectacual performance. You are never to old to follow your dreams. You go girl. I'm 66 and I tell all my younger friends I'm never slowing down, we are only as old as we feel age in years is only a number. Inspiring you are a role model to the older generations for sure. But the younger love you too.

Terry Bender, I am a boomer woman as well. I still work and volunteer and will continue to do so until I feel otherwise. Once again, boomers are paving the way. Our lives are shining the light on a re-configured third act. Peace.
I have always found that song to be difficult to listen to because it has always in my family been related to someone passing in my family. But I cant get enough of how she sings it. I have found the real beauty in that song. And I do not wish to hear any other version or anyone else try to sing it. Awesome job 🙂

At 49yrs old, I can still count on "1" hand, how many times a performance has left me in tears. This makes #3. Uncontrollably emotional when you hear that POWER in that voice! Penned by pastor John Newton in 1773 is one of the most famous songs ever written. He was previously a slave trader selling African men, women and children for financial gain. But God's grace and mercy saved his soul from the hideous slave trade and he became a preacher of the gospel of our lord. Amazing Grace became the anthem of the Civil Rights movement in the 1960's. Yet it had been written almost 190 years earlier by a repentant slave trader. That is amazing!
