@@ronbliss7368 Its a long backlog. You have look at you date your claim was certified to the board mine go back to 2019 but my appeal started 2015 my is a legacy claim so am in the front of the line. You may have long wait time 3 to 4 years if your claim is not legacy claim
I submitted a claim for sleep apnea, I was in the rating phase and then got kicked back to evidence review…… why when my sleep study was done by VA and I submitted that evidence “sleep study”, also was issued a cpap machine. What else possibly are they need to review. You stated that claims depend on complexity or type but make this make since, if the VA does a sleep study, its in my records and issue me a machine to sleep wtf are they reviewing now! Cause I was in the rating phase for a month now it get kicked back to this. Be honest, is the VA full of crap or is it really that difficult or are some of these claims agents still sitting at home acting like they are processing claims but really fkn off. I say these words with upmost respect.
Any guidance on approximate timelines (even their own in house guidelines) for each stage? I know every claim is different, but there has to be some baseline generalities. Most especially for things like increases and secondaries. It’s so difficult to find guidance and insight on the difference between initial claims (where it takes longer to establish Service Connection itself) and those that are just increases or secondaries. The national average timeline isn’t so helpful since it’s factoring in every single claim. Thank you for making these videos. Any insights we can get while we’re stressing this process, can help put our minds at ease.
I have two tera/presumptive claims pending(OIF/Iraq). It's very complicated. My SSDI took three years to win, but it's done, based on depression, anxiety, mood disorder, and service connected PTSD 70%.
I’ve been in appeals for over 24 months. And you wonder why military recruitment is down. After two decades of war in two different countries I can advocate joining if the government isn’t going to take care of its veterans.
Hi! There are three ways to check your claim status: go to your local VA regional office; call VA at (800) 827-1000; or log in to VA’s appeals tracker here: va.gov/claim-or-appeal-status/
For example: once getting through the most lengthy steps in the process, and getting passed evidence gathering… what’s your experience on how long the following steps each can take? Evidence gathering and evidence review of course being the longest, but once passing those- is there any reasonable average amount of time for each subsequent step? I imagine there has to be some type of standard (since we’ve long heard they’re operating on production quotas) for the timeframe a claim stays in the rating phase. Or how long a decision letter takes to draft (there’s also been numerous rumors that much of it is all digitized and scanned in like bubble test answer sheets) etc.
4:10 what is your experience with increased rating claims and why they changed my effective dates...After waiting years on an increased rating appeal, two of my claims' effective dates were changed to the most recent C&P exam they sent me to.
Help, help I don't know where else to go I need help I am being abused by my VA case worker. I have never seen the prep for decision phase lol. Always sits forever in evidence gathering until one day it says a decision was made.

I'm at 36 months waiting now🤬
Forever in my case!
Isn’t there a website where we can monitor our claims progress?

Some of mine was 20+ years. I got a letter from appeal board and judge has been working my appeal since August its now November.
the va tracker needs to show the status for supplemental claims.

Mine is in the rating stage but gotten 2 apology letters as to how long itnis taking
I’ve been waiting at Rating for a month, how long for you??
Apology letters? I’ve never heard that before. I’m in stage 5 also, hopefully will get a decision soon 🤞🏽
@@casuallevelexpert3112 how long for you?
This why no one is joining at this point they don't wanna take care of vets afterwards
The process should not take so long. It is the VA administration knuckle dragging claims.
Appealed SAH decision in 2018, twice, STILL NO REPLY???!!!
What if you’re in the “Evidence Review” phase 6?
did you get a response yet
Any update?
How long does it takes for the VA to correct an error at the higher level review stage. I've been waiting since March 21st
