Victory engines had the hot right side issue as well. Sounds like that carried over a bit into the Indian line

when i was looking to upgrade my 17 Ultra last summer i went and test drove a Indian Pursuit limited. although the Indian has all kinds of neat gadgets, electronic trinkets, and power, the bike just didn't fit me. the wife hated the seating position and comfort for the rider. The heat coming off the right side was unbearable. I live in New Mexico and test drove this bike on a 90+ degree day. The heat coming off that right side was so bad i thought it would melt my riding boot. there were no highway pegs on this model and i had to keep my foot on the farthest edge of the floor board just to get out of the heat. the dealer network with Indian concerned me as well. there is only one in New Mexico, but several Harley dealers locally. I ended up buying a 23 Road Glide Limited and im as happy as a can be

The Indian electric windshield is amazing. The Indian suspension is better. Harley does a much better job with heat management.
