Thank you for subscribing to me my friend I appreciate it a lot, I hope you will do new vids in the future, then I will come to you soon, Nice upgrade Well done! Thumbs up👍
Great video still despite the years, thank you. This is a long shot that you see this but I have to ask if you ever got this sorted out. I tried installing the Traxx cnc steering block/hubs but it always made my servo get stuck in full left turn. Upgraded to a Savox servo but still had the same problem. Went back to stock hubs/blocks and it's like I had no issues at all. I spoke with Traxxas Customer Service about possible fitting issues because I see videos about this alot but they told me it's 'Installer error.' Their products are milled to the nanometer or whatever they told me but I'm pretty sure they didn't mill these enough for the Slash.
Hello, I did upgrade these a while back but I've ran them for a while until my left side broke and I had to replace them with the stock plastic ones which seem to be holding fine so far. Regarding the aluminum hubs, aftermarket hubs can be a hit or miss in my opinion as for the tolerances. For the traxxas hubs I don't see how it could be an issue as they normally get parts machined to great tolerances. If all the steering and c hubs are traxxas I recommend watching some other updated videos or possibly taking apart the car and reassembling just to make sure nothing was missed. Hope some of my feedback was helpful if not let me know. Best of luck, FOXRC RACING 🏁
What’s the part numbers for the caster blocks and steering knuckle?? Also I read on strc website that you can’t use aftermarket axles like MIP with these ??
I bought a very similar set for the front and rear of my Slash 4x4 off of eBay and they arrived today. They're horrible. The milling of the aluminum where the bearings are set was way too big, causing an insane amount of wheel play. When i went to install the bearings, they just kinda fell into the housing. Not a tight fit at all. I'm currently waiting for the seller to reply with a return shipping label so I can get my money back and just get the Traxxas brand like I should have done to begin with.
Yeah I learn that it's a hit or miss with after market cheap parts they can either have decent tolerances or just plain awful tolerances. Over all I hope all goes well and you can get the proper parts you need for your Slash 4x4.
My HSP steered fine with the plastic hub carriers but with the alloy ones they steer too heavy. The servo can't cope unless I don't tighten them too hard. I switched too alloy cause of multiple ones snapped....
Got them on Amazon. To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of them. I've had nothing but problems since I got them. Issue one started with one of the hubs just being way too tight of tolerances, second some of the hole sizes just to small for the pins to fit and recently I lost one of the Phillips screws required for the hub during an A-Main race causing some damage to one of my wheels (yes I did put locktight on the screws). Now my right hub is trashed. I had to switch back to plastic because the aluminum took some damage also. Over all maybe I just got a bad set. You get what you pay for I guess. If I was to order another pair of aluminum hubs I wouldn't purchase the ones I got, but look for a higher quality set.

I know it's an old post, still very helpful, good job, thanks!👍🏼
