    He doesn't want to admit it but this all came from the complete lack of slipper clutch maintenance and the lack of general maintenance hence all the rust . Slipper was set too loose and the heat from the slipper caused the failures. He should of also inspected the diffs because I bet the stock grease is burnt off.
    This is a great example of someone that rides her hard and puts her away wet. But we should be thankful since these are the people that support this hobby the most. Since they are buying parts constantly.

      Hi Zed orda, indeed with your comment. I work with vehicle mechanics and most of case are from lacks of knowledge from basic of vehicle parts and operator maintenance. Netcruzer RC TECH CARS it might not apply to you or do but thank you for your sharing with us. Even if video was not perfect for some due to all issues you got in this video; you mentioned the 2 holes for both different diagrams that make me learn about to not doing this mistake lol. Traxxas website does video to maintenance our vehicle wet/dry/snow conditions and also now to upgrade it too. Differential oil should be looks at after each about 10hrs running so 20 times battery charge if like mine run about 30-40 minutes. Cheers.

    Bought these parts today at my local shop. Even added the telemetry because it was only $3 and I already had it apart. Kinda bummed when I got home & realized I should've just bought another 6893X, shaft & spur gear and had a complete replacement ready to go in the toolbox. I'm just getting started, my parts are still in excellent condition. I'm just trying to beef up the weak spots before I have issues.

    My opinion is that your slipper may have been a little too loose and that made too much heat and melted everything. I have a 1/10 rally also and have a 4s hobby wing in it and have had no issues. The Revo spec slipper you installed will help ALOT. I did the same but it still wasn't right in my eyes so i bought a center diff kit and it made the car sooooo much easier to handle. I like your hot racing motor mount. That may be the next upgrade for me, just because it looks nice.

    There's a HUGE mistake made here during the install of this particular upgrade in this video regarding where to put the pin through the shaft! (6:00). The stock position when using the STOCK pressure plate (5556) is indeed the last/outside hole (closest to rear diff). HOWEVER, once you upgrade to the 5351 pressure plate, you MUST use the second, inside hole, furthest from the differential side!!! Not doing so may 'essentially' still work 'initially' but the pressure plate will be rubbing against the rear differential housing, and eventually, at some point, will bind and seize to it altogether...

      Great info. I still have the slash but it hasn’t been used in a long time. I’ll check where that pin is now.

    I kno this video is 6 years old, but if the bearing is bigger than stock, won’t the slipper/center diff be loose inside the bigger bearing?

    I'm confused, its way faster but is this because of the upgraded revo slipper clutch???

    • @Jay-gy1cy
      @Jay-gy1cy 3 года назад +2

      I'm guessing his old slipper wasn't tight enough and it didn't put the power down very well. Now that it's tighter it accelerates faster.

    So with my slash being stock, will this improve the performance in any way ?

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  Год назад

      Not performance, reliability for when running 3S it’s good to do this. A lot of heat is generated at that motor mount and on that bearing. It can melt stock if using 3S a lot.

    Which way do aluminum pads go on? With symbols up or down

    • @CSL33
      @CSL33 Год назад

      According to Traxxas, the completely FLAT sides of the pads go against (i.e. face) the steel disc/plate which they rub against ("critical" for maximum friction). Thus the sides with the rounded edges should face the front of the truck, towards the spur gear. In other words, the rounded edges should be facing DOWN when placing them onto the pins of the hub!

    What are you using as your spur and pinion

  • @evhexrc1765
    @evhexrc1765 6 лет назад +1

    Umm, there's way too much rust on that slash. Have you EVER cleaned that? Do you just drive it in the rain and leave it out when you're done? CLEAN your truck! Your slipper assembly most likely melted because you had seized bearings because you didn't take care of your truck... Just trying to help you out!

    • @netcruzer
      @netcruzer  6 лет назад +1

      I oil it from time to time but it has definitely been in water many times and has the rust to show for it. Also the water is kinda salty around my area so I avoid washing it unless I have fresh rainwater to use.
