"I'm not persecuted, I'm just a a**hole" is still one of my favorite punchlines in comedic history.
There’s nothing wrong with wanting people to keep private things private. You go on, MrLBoyd. You know what’s up.
There are so many types of people where the final line would apply. You're not persecuted, you're just a terrible person.
Pure unadulterated FACTS
That "Oh I can fathom it" line hits different on a rewatch.
MrLBoyd always knows what needs to be said and this is a perfect example of why you should listen to him. Also, in the sketch, that guy is indeed an asshole.
I've wanted you to watch this one every since you first started reacting to K&P.
That last line is by far my favorite line from anything they have ever done. It is the most true and relevant line of dialogue you will hear today. I hear it in my head anytime that a person from any group starts whining about persecution/oppression when there actually is none happening to that group.
Don't get me wrong, real and legitimate persecutions/oppression/bigotry 100% exists and happens every day in every country, but at least 2/3 of those who claim to be victims of it are, at best NOT persecuted at all and at worst the actual perpetrators doing it to other groups and claiming to be victims only when the actual victims fight back against them.
Christians in America: You are not persecuted. There is no war on Christmas. Other groups wanting equal rights as you does not make you oppressed. Stopping you from oppressing others does not equal you being oppressed.
Politicians, all parties are guilty of this but most recently and most ignorantly it has been cheeto Jesus and his cronies - losing a free and fair election is not oppression, it's democracy. Being kicked off of a privately owned social media platform for spreading dangerous lies, misinformation, bigotry, and hate speech is not censorship, a violation of your 1st amendment, or oppression at all. It is merely a business decision made by a company to not serve you (similar to how you're all in favor of letting bakery refuse to serve gay weddings).

I pretty much agree with you, but I think showing affection in public is sweet as long as it's not sexual.
And the tragedy is how many people, this very premise actually applies to in "war" of persecution. It quite literally isn't that they're being done so, it's just their perception from a bias, or even worse from an out side looking in bias as someone trying to be offended on someone else's behalf. And that my friends is never ok, because you have no clue if and or when to stop or even in fact if you should have or would have actually been offended in the first place. Many things may seem triggering, but the "inside joke" is it's not. Like how racial "slurs" are used all the time "endearingly" but the ones it's derogatory against, but will earn you a thrashing if you've not been given your you can say it card, like those that have been inducted into the club - you know who you are my Oreos and the like either by birth or by honorary status, the right is yours and you're safe. Fools outside that "club" can let the smooth taste fool them, witness it and be in for the big surprise when the those same protection don't extend to them. And I've seen it in Latino ethic groups as well, so that's not just a Black and White thing. But real talk, Agency isn't something someone else can assume, and you continue to allow someone to be mad on your behalf, we'll continue to have this woke nonsense. And if you are feeling directly persecuted, stop and ask yourself some self reflecting questions about the truth of it, learning from some of the errors in this skit, and see if you're making them too. If not, maybe you're on point, maybe you can look deeper, maybe you're not being persecuted.
But from my own experience, such crusading usually starts from a catalyst of anger, and proceeds on a quest for a justice where one felt wronged and will be wronged no more and no matter the costs. Anyone else get that kind of experience too?
